  1. Meanwhile Rashawn Slater is crushing dudes for the chargers and Jaycee Horn is out for the season. Typical Panthers being cursed stuff.
  2. Is Paradis graded on how well he snaps the ball too?
  3. Was he the trainer when the Panthers went to the Superbowl in '03 with the super roided up O-Line?
  4. There was a top 25 WR list on nfl.com this offseason that completely left DJ off the list. The NFL doesn't really care about the Panthers or their players.
  5. Usually Josh McDaniels is an idiot but once he switched Mac Jones to running the spread offense against a decimated Bucs secondary, their offense actually looked decent. I think Darnold could benefit from running an offense like that sometimes.
  6. Snow's defense works against coaching staffs that don't have the personnel or scheme to match the odd man formations. Against a team like the Cowboys, or the Bucs for example, with strong gap integrity and talented offensive lines, defenses like Snow's will get absolutely destroyed. Against teams like the Jets and Texans, teams that struggle to win more than 3 games, it works like a more talented college team stomping a lower tier school. I think Snow needs to start running 4 down linemen on early downs more often and use the odd man fronts on 3rd downs. To be frankly honest he needs to stop getting "cute". Not having YGM seems to have hurt more than expected.
  7. Mr. Scot, I'd expect more from you. Gotta look at the games those teams have played to know the real story. The Eagles, I tend to agree but they're no pushover. They have an offense that can score. But their defense is beatable. Should be a 1 TD Panthers win IMO. The Vikings are definitely not crap. They've had a tough schedule. They lost in OT to an improved Bengals team, and were a stupid missed FG away from beating a very good Cardinals team. They're extremely close to being 3-1. They also have a win against the Seahawks. The Vikings are the toughest game on the upcoming schedule. Giants are a game I'd be livid if the Panthers lost. Should be a 2-3 score Panthers win. The Falcons on the road, it's a divisional game and that's always a tossup in my book. Panthers haven't exactly had great luck against Matt Ryan over the years. Belichick is still around for the Patriots and their defense is talented. Not a gimme game. If the Panthers finish 3-2 through that stretch I'd be thrilled. Get CMC back for the run with the really tough games.
  8. I think everyone needs to take a chill pill with the expectations. The Panthers are clearly better than last year for sure, but given the mounting injuries and lack of quality opponents so far, the expectations are getting pretty out of control. Winning 8 or 9 games would be a massive improvement for this team.
  9. I'd be happy finishing 3-2 out of that stretch. I think the Vikings are better than their record and will be a tough game, the Falcons are always tough being a division opponent, and the Patriots still have Belichick and have a tough defense. Panthers will probably drop a couple of these games but they are all winnable.
  10. Now it's a game that if the Panthers lose the Huddle might burn to the ground and have the ashes pissed on.
  11. Ron Rivera once called a timeout to berate an official
  12. The NFL doesn’t care. They are under no obligation to referee a fair game.
  13. I mean there might not be a single player from the defense that shut those guys down in 2018 on the 2021 team other than Shaq Thompson
  14. My positives: Sam Darnold is better than Teddy Asswater DJ Moore is an elite receiver about all I got
  15. The defense is average. It’ll balance out against good offenses and they’ll probably finish around 16. The defensive front is still pretty undersized and have made up for it with scheme and disguised blitzes against bad teams so far. But they won’t fool well coached offenses, like the Cowboys. The run defense got absolutely exposed today. I’m worried about facing offenses like the Vikings and Cardinals coming up. On offense, Darnold is an improvement over Asswater but I wouldn’t say it’s big enough to overcome the poor offensive line and CMC injury. Without DJ Moore the offense might be completely inept. The team is better than last season, but it’s not a playoff team yet. I’ll be happy with 8 wins.
  16. I went back and looked at the stats on the run defense, man is it bad. The Panthers run defense got absolutely exposed in this game. They need to make some adjustments in game when their odd man fronts start getting beat. Was not having Gross-Matos that big of a loss?
  17. Panthers are victims of bad refereeing every game. It has to stop.
  18. Well that’s not good for Phil Snow going forward I guess
  19. Were right on track for that ESPN season prediction that said we’d start 4-1 and finish 5-12 and draft #1 overall
  20. So this is why NFL coordinators call the Panthers defense a college defense?
  21. I was banging the table to draft Fields the whole off-season. Darnold is maybe marginally better than Bridgewater but still lacks that clutch aspect.
  22. Guys saying we can move on from this….I feel like this is more of the real Panthers than we realize. A horrible offensive line with a shaky QB who can’t play from behind, and a paper tiger defense that will get shredded by good QBs and potent running games. This is a better team than last year but not quite a playoff team. Injuries hurt as well.
  23. Cowboys would have destroyed this team either way. Defense tapped out in the second half and Darnold can’t win a game from behind
