If he continues to ruin the on field product and alienate the fanbase he will probably have to move the team. There will be no new stadium deal, he already botched the team HQ in Rock Hill, and add on the stress of the fanbase hating him more and more. They will rack up 10 losing seasons at this rate.

What did Dave Gettleman say when he got hired? “Big men allow you to compete” or something like that? Tepper really doesn’t understand how to build a team
-
Jerry Richardson was a mid owner who at least understood what kind of team and players would succeed in the Carolinas. David Tepper is a Pittsburgh guy who has NO idea what he was getting into buying a southern football team. It’s so unnatural and forced and it shows on the field. He’s hired two head coaches with strong connections to Pennsylvania and bypassed the one coach who sniffed any kind of on field success who happened to be a Charlotte guy. It’s insane what a bad fit Tepper is to own the Panthers. He really does need to sell the team, for our sake and probably his own.

Evero is a seriously good coach. Making the defense look respectable with genuine crap in the secondary and nobody linebackers.
-
Fire everyone. Can’t even call a play to throw the ball past the line of scrimmage on 4th down with the game on the line. Defense is solid but everyone on the offensive side of the ball needs to be fired into the sun including David Tepper

There’s no reason to keep Frank. The team is getting worse by the game. What a disaster of a season.

lol this offense is the worst in nfl history

Kyle Allen looked good because CMC had a career season. He was reckless with the football

There are enough QB prospects in the 2024 draft that the Panthers will probably be picking one in the later rounds or maybe trading up depending on the staff. I suggested picking a second QB in the 2023 draft ala RGIII and Kirk Cousins but I got pooed and laughed at. Guess what would have been a good idea….
-
I’d do the same thing if I was him. It’s not worth risking your career to play for a team that lives at the threshold of hell.
-
If he falls to the second, Xavier Worthy. 100%. He could easily be a top 20 pick though.
-
They’re already shifting the focus to the team’s charitable efforts off the field

Ray Ray McCloud still a fumble Machine just like he was on the panthers
-
Fields was worth a shot either way because they didn't have an answer at QB that year either way. Darnold is gone too.

There may never be moments like that again for this franchise. At least it feels that way.

One thing you can never take away from Frank

Who cares -
There's maybe 10 players on the team that have a place starting for any other NFL team right now. Maybe another 15-20 that would be backups. The rest are players that would struggle to make a practice squad.

Frank Reich’s offensive scheme makes Mike Shula look like a god damned genius in comparison

I mean the offense is bad but they might legitimately not get a first down without Thielen. Man he has to regret signing with this trash franchise. Bet he's spending most of his time using the golf simulator in the locker room.

Only gripe I had with Wilks was his inability to adjust coverages during the 2nd Tampa game and punting inside the 50 on 4th and shorts. Other than that he assembled the most competent stretch of Panthers football since early 2018

Fitterer was making bonehead moves from the get-go. But with Tepper meddling in every decision, who knows how much of the decision was Fitterer or Tepper. Picking up Sam Darnold's $19m 5th year option before he played a snap for the team was just f*cking dumb. He should have been on a 1 year prove-it deal. Not trading Burns for two 1sts and a 2nd round pick was a MASSIVE missed opportunity. Drafting Jaycee Horn, a CB and a luxury position for a team needing an answer at QB, OL, and many other more important positions, goes down as another whiff. If Horn was healthy and performing consistently it would sting less, but it was still a stacked draft to get a player at a higher value position. I can't fault him for picking Ekwonu. He was the right pick at the time, he's from Charlotte, it was a home run pick at the time. Icky looked better when he had Christensen playing next to him. I think poor LG play is hurting him in some situations. He's still young and it can take a few years for a good tackle to develop. Moton had the benefit of sitting on the bench for a few seasons. As great of a player CMC is, I can't fault Fitterer for trading him. CMC probably privately didn't want to play for the Panthers anymore and he ended up in a truly perfect situation for him. The compensation wasn't horrible but getting a 1st would have been nice. And the coup de grace, the Bryce Young trade. Don't really need to explain this to Panthers fans but the value given up for this pick vs. the return will go down as one of the worst trades in NFL history. Everyone associated with the franchise should be fired for this trade.

OL PFFs grades are out. *Warning for the weak stomach*

After watching the Chiefs/Eagles game last night it was so obvious the Panthers offensive scheme and playbook is f*cking terrible. No misdirection, very little pre-snap movement and motion that actually matters. Have they run a reverse all season?? It's hard to believe how much better the offense looked under Ben McAdoo but here we are. -
15 year season ticket holder... I won't be renewing
hepcat replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Man go spend that money doing literally anything else with your kids. Panthers are dead. RIP. Truth is David Tepper doesn’t belong in Charlotte. It seems forced and unnatural for the Carolina Panthers to have this Pennsylvania guy as the owner. He had no prior connections to the region and doesn’t understand literally anything that made the team successful in the past. He doesn’t embody any of the values the team was founded on and he has destroyed the culture the team had built. It’s no surprise the two head coaches he has hired both have strong connections to Pennsylvania. The team would have been way more successful than it has been if Ben Navarro was allowed to buy the team.- 164 replies
