No. Mike Tomlin has been keeping the Steelers relevant by the skin of his teeth while having some of the worst offenses in the nfl since Rothlisberger retired. The Steelers are much stronger organizationally than the Panthers. The Panthers are flimsy as a pile of tissue paper with Tepper ready to tomahawk anyone at any moment because he’s impatient and sucks. Tomlin would be a colossal failure in Carolina to the point where we might as well burn the entire stadium down instead.

I have confirmation this was the jaguars fan in question

Apparently our players really like Chris Tabor and Thomas Brown

They could have kept Wilks as the HC and had three of the coaches on this list. And also not been a trash team this season. -
Derrick Brown is a dodge ram hemi 3500

It is true that Bryce has been composed and mature despite being drafted by an incompetent douche bag of an owner and being in the worst situation in the NFL in terms of talent, coaching, and scheme.

I've long said that trading up for a QB was not a bad decision. Trading away your best WR as part of a deal to get a rookie WR was incredibly dumb. Trading the amount of assets they did for this particular QB also appears very dumb. The general idea was fine, the execution and decisions that were made were terrible.

If we win the next 36 games in a row, we’ll be .500

I think if the team won Super Bowl 50 the entire trajectory of this franchise would have been different. -
Wouldn’t you rather just have Christian McCaffery, DJ Moore…

From what Cam said about having to “coach the coach” I’d suspect that CMC knew Rhule was a clown as well. It’s funny that in 2021 once Cam was back that CMC was back on the field again. -
I can’t believe he still had a job. In a vacuum judging just by what he’s done, he’s been the worst GM in the NFL. He’s lost on every trade he’s made. His best move is signing Frankie Luvu. Whoopee! The only reason I think Tepper hasn’t fired him is he knows how much he meddled in his decisions and might let him finally work without his influence. But we can only hope.

McCaffrey probably privately requested a trade and he’s in the ideal place for his career. They should NOT have traded DJ Moore, especially when drafting a rookie QB. I said it the day they traded for the #1 overall pick, you need to have solid receivers around a rookie QB. I can’t believe Fitterer still has a job. -
The NFL needs small market punching bags to pad the win columns of the big market teams.

The Panthers natural trajectory wasn’t getting the #1 overall pick this season unless they traded this pick to get Bryce Young who is a bad enough QB to get the #1 overall pick.

A review of Scott Fitterer's drafts (spoiler alert: they suck)
hepcat replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
The amount of trades the team makes + Tepper coming from a finance/hedge fund background (even he admits he enjoys making trades and "deals) = Tepper is pushing these decisions. To what extent? That's the real question. -
A review of Scott Fitterer's drafts (spoiler alert: they suck)

It is truly hard to judge Fitterer because Tepper is so obviously involved in every decision and has created an echo chamber around him. Scott Fowler and other panthers media have reported he got rid of every person who told him the truth. From an outside perspective, Fitterer is horrible. But maybe even Tepper knows he didn’t give him a real chance which is why he hasn’t been fired yet. But man where would we be if this team never lost Brandon Beane? The whole Gettleman debacle and bringing back Marty Hurney was the beginning of the mess we are in now, regardless of Tepper, who just made it much worse. -
How many kids does Tepper have? They don’t have a stake in this? They’re probably in their mid 30s and succeeding without much effort given who their dad is.

Texas played a crap game and was still in it with a chance to win at the end. They’ll be back in the CFP next year if Ewers stays. Manning isn’t ready and might be a little overhyped. Washington is a very good team so hats off to them for the great win. On topic, Penix could definitely be a good NFL QB on another team. Fastest way to ruin his career would be for the Panthers to draft him.
-
The last precedent for this was in 2009 when the Titans owner flipped some fans the middle finger and he was fined $250k. Throwing a cup of water at someone is technically misdemeanor assault so I’d assume the fine will be higher than $250k. But I think it is highly unlikely the NFL docks draft picks or punishes the organization in a meaningful way.

Better than the one they ran with Ted Ginn trying to throw it
-
He deserves one last shot at LT next season but he might need to be moved to guard for the sake of his career and that’s fine. As long as he’s productive the pick won’t be a total waste.

We genuinely don’t know how many decisions were his or Tepper’s and that’s the biggest problem with fixing the team going forward.
