  1. I can't shake the feeling the Panthers are still a .500 team. I'm going 9-7. Defense looks good, but lacks an elite pass rusher to make them Top 5. Fourth straight year top 10, offense ranks around 17-19, top 5 in rushing, near dead last in passing offense. Division is better, but 9-7 could still be enough to win it.
  2. I thought that was more out of necessity than because he was on the bubble. They let go of Lee Ward already and Brockel was hurt so who else was there to play FB?
  3. Not necessarily, Todman or Whitaker could be cut. Fill the same role.
  4. I hope they keep 4 RBs this year. If last year was any indication (starting their 6th string RB for a couple games), it's that RB depth is important. Stewart, CAP, Whitaker, Todman. That's depth.
  5. But there could be teams that absolutely tank this season willing to part with a high-priced veteran WR. If Carolina can start strong, what's to say a team that is struggling by Week 5 wouldn't be willing to make a trade? Vincent Jackson???
  6. I don't see Cotchery getting cut, but Tolbert has a fat contract and clears up space to go get a veteran WR that gets cut so, who knows. Definitely one of the more interesting cut downs we have seen as Panther fans
  7. I agree with Marcus Lucas making the roster now - but do you think he'll get looks at WR too?
  8. Well fug-king poo. Funchess better step up...GOD DAMN IT THIS SUCKS
  9. Who cares? Why do you? How do you even rank a "top-rated" LT? Whitworth and Peters routinely find themselves on so-called "top-rated" lists. If Williams can play, who cares how much he weighs? Why does this matter? Do you just need something to be right about today?
  10. Peters played at 345lbs for much of his career at a high level until losing weight this offseason. Still checks in at 320. http://www.bleedinggreennation.com/2015/8/6/9103715/eagles-jason-peters-25-pounds-weight-ice-cream-diet-bike-philadelphia Whitworth is 330lbs http://www.nfl.com/player/andrewwhitworth/2495977/profile Trent Williams is 337lbs http://www.nfl.com/player/trentwilliams/497073/profile King Dunlap is at 330lbs http://www.nfl.com/player/kingdunlap/2507498/profile Greg Robinson is 332lbs http://www.nfl.com/player/gregrobinson/2543458/profile Cordy Glenn is 345lbs http://www.nfl.com/player/cordyglenn/2532849/profile It's not like there aren't top quality LT's playing over 330. Daryl Williams fits the mold.
  11. Uh, a lot. Tyron Smith, Jason Peters, Andrew Whitworth...just to name a few current ones. In the past: Jonathan Ogden, Orlando Pace, Walter Jones. HOF guys.
  12. Wonder if Daryl Williams will get a shot at LT
  13. Daryl Williams better pan out or the tackle depth is absolute poo this year
  14. http://abovethelaw.com/2014/01/harvard-law-students-are-the-best-at-making-up-fake-transcripts/ Probably made up metrics and stats anyway
  15. If the Panthers won Superbowl 38 there's no question he'd be in the HOF if all the rest of his numbers were the same.
  16. Brees is still the best QB in the division, let's be honest. He was asked to do too much for the offense last year and they're trying to run more to balance it out. Could be a good move that pays off. Cam is #2 right now just because the Panthers have won the division two years in a row. In terms of skill I think him and Ryan are very close. Ryan has more pocket skills but Cam offsets that with his running ability. Obviously Winston is a distant 4th, but who knows where he'll rank next season.
