Loss to Eagles worst halftime lead squandered since Nov 2016
hepcat replied to KB_fan's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's what happens when your QB throws 3 INTs and the head coach blames the defense -
he won't be a head coach there for long, he need more experience

CMC trending the wrong direction? Not practicing today...
hepcat replied to SgtJoo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Probably what we're looking at. I bet CMC comes back in a few weeks for a game or two though. -
Night and day worse from last season.

Vikings 31 Panthers 26

If you are signing these guys to be backups it makes sense. But they were signed to be starters and it’s been a disaster
-
did Teddy get rid of the ball faster than Darnold?
-
The article also shows that he did some good things for the Panthers last season and probably would be a better option over Daley, Miller, and Elflein.

Consider the fact that former Panther Chris Reed is a starting LG on the Colts it makes me wonder if talent evaluation is also the problem. https://www.si.com/nfl/colts/film/chris-reed-strong-game-against-panthers

Is it a lack of talent or coaching?

Was Rhule Blaming the Defense or Acknowledging Something Else**
hepcat replied to SetfreexX's topic in Carolina Panthers
His wording made him sound like he was blaming the defense. Problem is the defense stood on their head most of the game, forced turnovers the offense was incapable of capitalizing on, and got put in terrible field position situations. The defense had a great game all things considered. The offense was beyond terrible and if that incompetency continues someone needs to be fired. -
he might loosely be implying Deonte Brown is lazy like Otah was
-
took a injuries for freaking ANDREW NORWELL to see the field. Guy is still in the NFL and has been one of the best LGs in the league as an undrafted player. At least put Brown on the field for a SERIES. Early in the game when they're running the ball maybe? I don't get it.
-
If Gettleman gets fired from the Giants, bring him back as a strictly undrafted rookie offensive line hog molly advisor.

And the defense didn't really even give up 21 points. They were put in shitty situations all game and forced two turnovers the offense did NOTHING with. Defense gave up a FG after a Sam Darnold INT in the 1st Q. 3 points not on them. They gave up a ridiculous 58 yard FG before halftime. Not much you can do about a great kick from that distance, but alas, this was on the defense. 3 points on the defense. They gave up a TD after a 53 yard pass broke coverage. They can't hold forever. 7 points definitely on the defense. They gave up a TD after a blocked punt in horrible field position, and the 2 point conversion. 6 points not on the defense. 2 point conversion on them. I'd say the defense was directly responsible for giving up 12 points. 1 TD, 1 FG, and a 2 point conversion. 9 of the points were a direct result of an INT and a blocked punt. That ended up being the difference in the game. Inept offense that turned the ball over 3 times and a blocked punt.

If I haven't gone insane from watching the Panthers for my entire adult life, I probably never will. Or I've already reached the seventh level of Panthers fan hell. Secondly, did you watch the video? Phil Snow called the formation that was working to stop the run the previous 3 games ONE TIME in the 4th quarter. They came out in Nickel and Dime formations all game. No wonder they gave up 250+ on the ground. I don't know if it's because of a lack of LBs or what, but if that's not a shitty gameplan I don't know what is.

Some of you need to get away from football for a few days

I feel like if you're a true Panthers fan you have to enjoy misery to some degree -
we just lost to the eagles who literally tried to hand the panthers the game with two consecutive turnovers but the Panthers said HOLD MY BEER and turned the ball over more times
-
It's the Panthers. I always expect to lose.
-
You haven't seen anything yet, wait until the Vikings clean the Panthers clock. This place will implode.
-
I don't think he broke the Panthers, I think Phil Snow got cute and put together a shitty gameplan to stop the Cowboys running game.
-
we know, we've spent the last 2 days complaining about it
-
I’ve said this multiple times, Darnold forced the ball to Robby here. This INT was 100% Sam’s fault. OL is bad but Darnold also made some bad mistakes. Still scratching my head they didn’t draft Slater with a broken shell shocked QB.

Given what Gruden said in these emails I feel like Perryman and his outspoken anti-vax beliefs was traded to the only team that would have him.

At the end of the day I can’t control the Panthers. It’s just so infuriating to see them make the same mistakes over and over again.
