Better QB prospects next year to start.

oh lawd is this a joke

As depth, it's a fine signing. Burris knows the scheme but is too injury prone to be a starter.

Trading for Sam Darnold in the first place wasn’t a horrible idea. Picking up his option was so f*cking stupid. No one wants him. He costs $19m and he sucks. It’s a Brock Osweiler type trade. The Panthers are trading away an asset for cap space. Then whoever receives Darnold would cut him most likely.

Watson not out of woods yet - 2nd grand jury
hepcat replied to FugginPoo's topic in Carolina Panthers
If Houston ownership had any influence, it explains why his first criminal charges were thrown out. Then he was able to be traded. And now, new charges are IMMEDIATELY being discussed. Something doesn’t add up. The accusers crazy-ass wildcard lawyer Tony Buzbee and the McNair’s live in the same neighborhood. The way this whole situation unfolded is extremely sketchy to me. I’ve got some friends in Houston who have followed this and they all think the Texans ownership wanted Watson out by any means necessary after these allegations started bubbling up. And the team probably knew about the allegations LONG before it became public knowledge. The fact the Texans got what they were asking for Watson despite the situation is still very much ongoing is incredible and Houston made out like bandits. So SO glad the Panthers didn’t trade for him. I just wish it was Atlanta dealing with this crap now. -
Watson not out of woods yet - 2nd grand jury

I thought right after he was traded he would be charged for something else. The ownership of the Texans is in the pockets of the prosecutors in Harris County for sure. Wait until he was traded, charge him with the real stuff. -
yea I think it's a huge price to pay for a guy who benefitted from a great scheme and QB. He's a fast WR for sure, one of the fastest ever. But that's a huge price to pay for a 28yo WR with a checkered past.

Wow that's a lot for him.

what do you want to know

REPORT: Panthers are not interested in Baker Mayfield
hepcat replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
As I’ve said all along the Panthers balked at the asking price before the Browns even traded for Watson. They want a 1st LOL -
maybe I should rephrase. is Kenny Picket's ceiling any higher than Teddy Bridgewater's coming out of college? go watch Teddy's college highlights and tell me they aren't extremely similar prospects. https://withthefirstpick.com/2022/01/21/nfl-draft-scouting-report-pittsburgh-qb-kenny-pickett/

Observation: Panthers want to Draft a QB but...
hepcat replied to Doc Holiday's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'd be shocked if anyone aside from the Panthers pick a QB in the top 10. I could see the Steelers trading into the mid teens to get Pickett if the Panthers don't take him. Willis might not make it past Seattle at 9 though. -
God damn not every single players discussions have a link. It's not like I haven't been right about a ton of other sh*t that has happened. Teams like the Giants have to be sniffing around Cam for a backup job. Could even see him back with Ron as a backup for Wentz. He probably won't get a contract until after the draft unless he resigns to a backup role for sure.

he's huge. wouldn't be a bad pick
-
Honestly is Pickett’s ceiling any higher than Teddy Bridgewater?
-
Unless the Browns drop the asking price significantly I do not see the Panthers getting him although the interest is definitely there
-
Eh he’s Sam Darnold that can actually complete a pass
