  1. I found this on twitter I did not make this
  2. You’re probably right about that, last Panthers bar in ATX gave up back on 2016
  3. A new Panthers bar in town apparently got a big inflatable Sir Purr. First you had my curiosity, now you have my attention.
  4. I guess you’re right, I should know to expect chaos and idiocy
  5. Let's see, in 2021 the following starters missed games due to injury or COVID. I'm not counting sitting out due to playoff position at the end of the season. ----- Jalen Hurts (Philadelphia Eagles): 1 game Kirk Cousins (Minnesota Vikings): 1 game Jimmy Garoppolo (San Francisco 49ers): 2 games Teddy Bridgewater (Denver Broncos): 3 games Kyler Murray (Arizona Cardinals): 3 games Russell Wilson (Seattle Seahawks): 3 games Jared Goff (Detroit Lions): 3 games Zack Wilson (New York Jets): 3 games Baker Mayfield (Cleveland Browns): 3 games Tua Tagovailoa (Miami Dolphins): 4 games Lamar Jackson (Baltimore Ravens): 5 games Sam Darnold (Carolina Panthers): 5 games Daniel Jones (New York Giants): 6 games Jameis Winston (New Orleans Saints): 10 games There were 2 teams that had a dual QB situation. Houston with Davis Mills and Tyrod Taylor, Chicago with Andy Dalton and Justin Fields. Both teams had their starter also miss time due to injury, whichever you consider the starter. The other 16 teams had their starter play the entire season. ---- So as you can see, there were 14 to 16 starting QBs missed games in 2021. I don't fault Matt Rhule for the comment after looking through the data. Around half the league's starting QB's missed time last year, including the two top QB's on the Panthers this season. I think it's very likely we will see Darnold start at least a game or two this season unfortunately.
  6. Aside from Rhule the entire coaching staff is a question mark for me. On defense, it's clear to me Phil Snow is not an NFL caliber coordinator. His main NFL experience prior to becoming an NFL defensive coordinator was being the LB coach on the 2008 Detroit Lions who went 0-16. Many other coaches the Panthers have played have lambasted his "college stuff" scheme. The defense was far worse than it appeared on paper (that #2 overall yardage statistic was an anomaly), in particular the run defense. I've never seen his defense just beat their opponents 1 on 1, it's all stunts and misdirection. Then a team with a quality O-Line comes in, bodies them up, and mauls them. I think the only coach Phil Snow has figured out is Kliff Kingsbury. On offense, Ben McAdoo was out of football for several years and had a hard time breaking back in. Seems like there were some solid reasons for that. We'll see if he has anything left. McAdoo absolutely deserves a head coaching job if he's able to coax a playoff caliber season out of Baker Mayfield or (gulp) Sam Darnold. I'm also not a fan of Sean Ryan from what I've seen. I'm not really sure how much coaching he is actually doing. He was a holdover from the previous offensive coordinator so who knows if McAdoo even has work for him to do. So we'll see how that all pans out.
  7. Considering Baker Mayfield has been named the Week 1 starter after not playing at all in their last preseason game, I have to wonder, why didn't Sam Darnold play? Sure, sit McCaffrey, DJ Moore, Burns, your top guys. The Patriots are dirty, they try to hurt people, I get it. Seems like Baker Mayfield was already going to be the starter before the Patriots game even happened, so hold him out if he's your starter. Why didn't Darnold play then? He's a backup. He should play. Are they concerned Darnold would look so bad he wouldn't have any trade value? He already doesn't have any trade value due to his ridiculous contract. Worried about him getting hurt? Well, anyone they trotted out there could get hurt. But again, he's a backup. I just never understood why Rhule babied Sam Darnold so much. He's earned literally nothing in the NFL and gets treated like he's an established Pro Bowl level veteran by this coaching staff. Including last season when he barely played during the preseason as well. Nothing this coaching staff does ultimately makes sense.
  8. He's lubing up our anuses for when he trots Sam out there after Baker struggles a little
  9. Only "veteran" I might see get cut is Deonte Brown because of what happened to Corral. That or Kenny Robinson for his antics against the Patriots.
  10. Lot of DTs that might get cut. One area the Panthers could use some talent and depth. And maybe a run-stuffing DE (not sure of any that are on the block)
  11. I said the same exact stuff. I made a whole post about how he’d be a failure because he was going to hire all his friends
  12. It’s a matter of time for those guys. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the year for Buffalo. Most of the time, the team that wins the Super Bowl has knocked on the door a few times in the past year. I think they’re the team to beat in the AFC. It’s definitely the tougher conference right now though.
  13. I disagree with that, the fans would burn the stadium to the ground if Tepper kept Rhule after a winless season. No coach should ever survive a winless season with a job.
  14. I bet Corral’s injury isn’t even as serious as it sounds. They were gonna stash him on IR no matter what.
  15. I legitimately do not know what he does well as an NFL head coach. Can anyone tell me? From what I can see he’s a smooth talker who grifted a naive new owner into giving him a ridiculous contract with little to back it up. He had 1 season of NFL experience prior to being hired as an NFL head coach, as an assistant position coach no less. Not a coordinator, not even a position coach, an assistant position coach. He never beat a ranked team as head coach at Baylor, and beat one at Temple (and it was ECU which doesn’t really count) What has Rhule done to deserve to be where he is? “Rebuild” the Baylor program? They didn’t beat a ranked team while he was there! It is no surprise the Panthers have struggled since he arrived. It’s going to be another rough season. The schedule is harder than last year and I don’t see this team pulling out a miracle season. If he is the head coach next year, without a playoff appearance in 2022, I might just give up on this team until he’s gone.
  16. Can’t tell, they barely play the starters
  17. I mean for real can we hit on a late round draft pick
  18. I can’t believe a guy who said that is still on the roster
  19. if anyone thinks he's the only trainer who has done this in the NFL boy are you in for a surprise
  20. Tackle play should be much better this season but that interior especially the LG and C could be rough unless Bozeman gets healthy and Christensen pans out at LG.
  21. I was in high school and I farted out my weener I was so excited when he scored
  22. Rivera is playing for an owner who might legitimately end up in jail so I don't think he gives a sh*t he's just doing what it takes to win at this point. No pressure hahahha
