Just remember Tepper passed over the staff with this pick and traded a king’s ransom to take the smallest player ever and thought it was going to be a slam dunk

Ickey is fuging garbage - the official thread™

He’s a bust at LT. It is what it is. -
Good physical tools but it doesn’t come together on the field. He’s a 4th or 5th WR type guy on any roster. Doubt he’s here after his rookie contract runs out. Bust 2nd rounder

Because everyone is Thomas Davis…..

They need to trade him when they can and move on. The team can’t afford to wait and play the what if game. Get assets if possible and move forward.

Why Does Everyone Keep Calling This a Total Rebuild?

I guess the 50/50 play splits on the tv they showed during the game weren’t real. it ultimately doesn’t matter because the offense was bad regardless. The numbers are the numbers. -
Why Does Everyone Keep Calling This a Total Rebuild?

38 pass 29 run Bryce scrambled 3 times. It was 17-10 with an entire quarter left. There were a couple of scenarios during the game I wish they would’ve stuck to the run game. Deep in their own territory when the first INT occurred and also at the end of the first half where they went 3 and out after 3 incompletions. Yeh it’s hindsight but I even said out loud they need to feed the backfield when he threw the first one. -

Wilks’ team would’ve been ready to run the ball all day which they had success doing yesterday. But they wanted the ball in Bryce’s hands instead. They don’t have the guys outside to air it out like that. This needs to be a run heavy scheme for the foreseeable future but I doubt we get that. -

The reason why this team has stunk for the last 6-7 years is because they didn’t embrace a full rebuild fwiw. They should’ve off loaded players for picks and cap room but they wanted to be competitive enough to win 6-7 games a year instead. -
Doubt we will ever have another guy like Cam I think Bryce is going to be above average. I think that’s his limit and that’s ok. Just better have talent around him which they def do not lol
-
He’s got an average arm. But he can be a good player with being quick and accurate with the ball

I’d like to see Bryce with some guys who can gain separation. It’s going to be a long year if this what the WR group is going to give us. I think Bryce is a going to be a decent QB , I’m just not sure if he’s going to have a high ceiling. I think he’s really limited physically and he needs to win in other areas of the QB position. Problem is gonna be he’s throwing to guys who can’t do a whole lot right now. He made some bad decisions and wasnt very accurate going into the end of the game but I thought the game plan changed and play calling sucked as the game went on. They had a ton of success running the ball early and the Laviska looked great but they just got away from the things that were working. Hubbard was on fire today. But It’s like they wanted Bryce to go win the game instead of just sticking with what was working. I don’t know it was weird.

I think there are 3 grades or levels of a hamstring injury. Strain, pull, and torn. A pull is slight tearing that can heal with rest and rehab. A grade 3 would require surgery I believe. I’ve heard the higher up on the hamstring closer to the glute- it’s more serious and it will take longer to heal. It looked like Horn was holding down lower on his leg more behind his knee. It’s hard to know until later this week. It wouldn’t shock me if he goes on IR. His body just doesn’t seem capable of being able to withstand the physical demands of being in the NFL

This team is in trouble for a little while longer. that’s for damn sure. There’s hardly any big time talent on the roster and you’re down a couple more high draft picks. Trading for Darnold , trading for Corrall, not trading Burns as part of a true rebuild…it’s just beating a dead horse at this point. The org thinks they can be competitive but they’re just wrong. Their decisions are misguided because they think the team is better than what it is. It’s been long enough to say Fitt ain’t it. And that’s that.

REPORT: Panthers and Brian Burns not at all close to extension

That decision is a big fat red letter on their face right now -

That’s all fine. I’m just saying the team can choose not to pay him what he wants, they will still be just fine in the future for it. That $ can go towards other good players. -

You can sign vet defenders who are quality. Yea you draft to replace people. That’s how the league works. -

Turning down that Rams offer is so cringe right now. Those extra picks would’ve been fantastic for an actual rebuild. You can sign several damn good defensive players with $30 mil vs just 1. this team is the football version of the hornets since Tepper took over. -
Let him walk. This team needs room to build around Bryce. They committed to that path by trading what they did to acquire him. This team’s ceiling even with Burns is around 7 games. They can pay for defensive talent next offseason
-
The Tepper era has been a joke so far. How many wasted draft picks , cap space , poor decisions are we supposed to survive through. The team just delays its own rebuild over and over. They should’ve done a fire sale when Rhule was brought on and they should’ve done a fire sale when he was fired. Accumulate draft picks , build cap space and take BPA where they were slotted. Yes we have Bryce, who is going to be nice if he stays healthy , but this team doesn’t have any game changers outside of Burns and it’s a problem

Sounds like excuses for guys getting beat up in their matchups. I hope the new staff has great schemes and a deep playbook to help out guys getting blown up.

Bummed about Byrd. I think this team could’ve used the depth and his speed
-
Fair. I was looking at the QB scatter shot strategy. Even with the cmc picks - it’s still a ton of assets to spend on the QB position. The roster needs 2 more off seasons to recover imo.
