Take away year one and he has progress significantly. Darnold took several years to get it, as did Mayfield. While I am not implying that BY will turn into either one of these players, I still believe there is some hope. These last 4 games will really make a difference. Were in playoff contention and lets just see if he craps the bed or really shows he's dialed in.

I want to ask you. Did each of those TD passes Young threw Sunday meet this criteria? Young's swing pass to Chubba was perfectly placed and quick. Both Coker and T-Mac's TDs were well placed touch passes. Bryce has had many small window completions. Analytics are a great source of knowledge but in the end game time situations call for quick deceive decisions and analytics go out the door.

Tampa's remaining schedule

Factually of course but pretty much a done deal especially since some of the tiebreakers don't go our way. -
Tampa's remaining schedule

One of the last times we played Tampa in Carolina at Christmas time I was home and went to the game. This was the game Cam had a 50+ yard run to glory. One of the greatest highlights in Panther history. Hopefully, we have another great moment or two this time. -
Tampa's remaining schedule

1st we MUST win against the Saints. A loss and everything else is a mute point. Week 16 is our season. If we can beat the Bucs in Carolina we stand a chance regardless of week 17. -
Dane Brugler’s panthers mock pick
DaveThePanther2008 replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
In our history we've had great linebackers that have turned us into Super Bowl contenders. Mills, Morgan, Beason and Luke. I would love to see another side-to-side linebacker and get back to greatness. -
Tampa's remaining schedule

Let's hope so. -
Tampa has a pretty easy schedule. They have both Atl and N.O. at home so an upset by either of these two teams is pretty slim. There only other game is Miami, who has been playing better lately but it's going to be tough. We are going to have to win against TB twice and New Orleans. We'd both end up 10-7 if we beat them both games. We'd have the tie breaker from head to head. It's a huge task but if we can beat them in Carolina in week 15 we have a chance in the final game. If we beat Seattle it going to be quite interesting.

I knew it was someone up the chain of command. It was a steal for DM, even if he is just adequate. Finding players that can come in and play without losing too much. Hunt is a very difficult player to out play.

Scott FOWLER on Chuba in Observer
DaveThePanther2008 replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
My opinion, Chubba used to play the same way. When he saw Rico doing it he realized that he wasn't running the same way he was before he got hurt. -

Give them both early reps and see who has the hot hand. I have noticed Chubba running more like Rico these past few games. Not so much pitter pattering at the line and just bulldozing for whatever he can get. I like the way both are running now. It's a good thing to have. DC just needs to be ready to put the lion share of carries with the back that seems to be having a better start. I just hope it isn't like before where it was you get this series I get the next. Doesn't work -
Not sure who but Curhen has former connections with someone on our staff. They obviously knew something more about him. He's no Andrew Norwell but we ran the ball at will with this guy so he does deserve some props. Zavala for whatever reason cannot stand up to the demands of playing in the NFL. He's collecting a paycheck but rarely is available. I'd rather move on and work with guys like Curhan that at least can stay healthy.

Canales in the post-game interview stated that the strip sack the noise was overwhelming. It's good that our fans are showing up. It's been too many years since we had a home crowd favorite. I remember listening to the Dallas game and you could hear the Cowboy fans almost as loud as our fans. That's unacceptable. Hopefully, this team continues to get better, and our bandwagon fans come back out and support the team.

This Bryce Guy (General BY Discussion)
DaveThePanther2008 replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Where is it I said it was a grand achievement? I was just pointing out how really good that play was. Too many want to argue every single thing BY does. It's luck, it's bad defense and every other possible reason other than he did well. -
I think T-Mac should win. He's definitely the man. He makes big plays when we need them.

Opinion Every touchdown he threw yesterday were pin point money passes. He's had several passes this season that have been money shots. -

As my daughter says that OA. Bryce is pretty good at ball placement. -

Agreed, however there are many QBs that don't place it perfectly. -

I've watched this highlight several times. So many people want to criticize Young because he's doesn't throw down the field very much. However, if you watch this highlight and focus on the ball placement, It's a perfect throw. He leads Hubbard perfectly. He hits him in stride. He's full speed in a moment. If he throws it too far in front he probably doesn't catch it or loses his balance enough that he gets tackled. Too far behind and he has to slow down a bit and doesn't get up to speed in time to score. Bryce pinpoints a perfect throw, and Hubbard blows by everyone and scores. It was a great play. -
Official Week 13: Rams @ Panthers Gameday Thread

My point is, you don't win on offense alone. The defense did what they needed to do to help this team win. The Bears are living off of turnover wins. Turnovers against high powered offenses is a must and what we needed to do. -

DaveThePanther2008 replied to rodeo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Why do people do this? It's a team effort. If the defense scores a TD it's 6 points in the books. PERIOD That's like saying the Ram's only punted once. They also had 3 turnovers. The Rams have probably the best offense in the NFL but, it shows if your defense can come away with a turnover or two. You have a chance to stay in the game. We got 3 turnovers and each one mattered. -
Hey Vegas please list us as 10 pt underdogs the rest of the season. Go Panthers
-
It is a testament to Morgan. He's finding players to fill rolls when our starters go down. If our starting 5 make it back for these last four games we could be achieving a record that no one predicted.

that holding call on Mitchell was BS. You could call holding on every play. He barely altered his momentum. I thought it was very weak. -
Jake Curhan??? This a guy we stole from the Cardinals. Starting at Guard and our run game didn't skip a beat. This is on Morgan for finding quality back-ups.
