  1. Only if it is for 5 Mil or less. I do not want Carolina giving into Cleveland's demands and absorbing 1/2 his salary. I'd do have if they throw in a 3rd round pick.
  2. People acting like we don't want him. If Seattle is willing to pay 1/2 his salary than who are the idiots. I admire Fitterer to sticking to his guns about no more than 5 million. They drafted Corral, let them roll with Sam. Once he's proven for the millionth time he isn't a starting QB go with Corral. Personally, I think it is better to let Corral start and get those 1st year QB blues out of the way. If we lose and he looks lost we are in a position to draft a first round caliber QB. If he shows promise he might just save Rhule's ass.
  3. Either we are the minor leagues or the Observer doesn't pay worth crap.
  4. Anyone to want to tank for a HS QB is off their rocker. Many, many top rated HS QBs have never sniffed professional football at any level. While the Manning name is blue blood it doesn't mean he's a surefire NFL QB and definitely not #1. Not sure what article you are reading but most of the information I have seen, Manning is the #1 HS QB in his class
  5. No thanks. Knowing our luck Manning will pull the daddy trick that he doesn't want to play for Carolina.
  6. I enjoyed listening to Goose but Donovan was on of those story teller I could listen to all day. He had the most funniest stories back when football was a man's game. Where guys would bite each other and other dirty tricks and pranks.
  7. I saw, youtube i think, a video about TE university and Olsen was there. They put these guys through a pretty decent workout. I am sure that it will help Tremble. To hear Thomas isn't there doesn't surprise me. He doesn't seem like a guy to really give a damn whether he improves or not.
  8. My first thought was this is a smoke screen for Carolina to take the 50-50 split on Baker's contract. I just recently saw where Seattle was content with their QB room.
  9. Reminded me a lot of another great Baltimore lineman. Art Donovan. He had a great sense of humor and I enjoyed listening to him on the field. Goose was a member of arguable the best defense ever assembled in the NFL. 2000 Baltimore Ravens. Lowest points allowed in an NFL 16 game season. RIP Goose
  10. She's a great woman's coach and has turned the SC program into a power house. She would have to convince a lot of people her coaching style would work in the NBA. For the most part the woman's game is below the rim. I would have to be convinced her style would work. If so, I think players would buy in especially if they start winning more than they lose.
  11. Why do you think he has been with so many teams recently. He doesn't mesh with anyone. He can't dominate a game anymore and I definitely see much better options including standing pat. The Hornets need defensive help. They were one of the top scoring teams in the NBA. We need a big man to improve our defense. Plumlee definitely isn't the answer.
  12. I hope Corral shows off in camp. I think he is a better option right now over Darnold. What I think is funny is Rhule's going to sit Corral and he's probably the best option for him to win. I like the kid and I think he's going to be a find for a 3rd round pick.
  13. I didn't think so either. I just read the article and found it funny that they'd tie him to us. Maybe he's trying to generate suggestions that the Titans will trade him away to let Willis play now. It's the worst part of offseason. Even the writers are grasping for things to write about.
  14. I'm sure Breer is just speculating but Tannehill would be nice with this team. Plenty of weapons and a decent defense. The price tag would definitely be too much for us. Breer: 'If Tannehill is the QB of the Panthers, They're Okay, Right? It's Not a Bad Roster' (msn.com)
  15. A vastly improved O-line should help whoever is under center. If we can establish a great running game the QB will not have to carry the team by himself. A great RB room. CMC can cause a lot of problems if our O-line gets him to the 2nd level. Teams will need to focus on stopping him. Chubby IMO is going to have a good year too. He's also dangerous in the 2nd level. Foreman is going to be a great short yardage RB and will also take some weight off of CMC. WR will benefit from the running game. Moore and Anderson may have many one on one opportunities and the QB just needs to make the read and get them the ball. Our TEs can have a great year too. Defensively our secondary has plenty of studs on it and Wilks will get Thieves Avenue back. They'll be fun to watch especially if our D-line can create enough pressure. There should be more coverage sacks for our front 7. Special teams has greatly improved. If our defense holds up and our QB doesn't give games away we might just surprise a couple of teams. It would be nice to at least be in the playoff conversation in December. Go Panthers
  16. James Jones is a former player that somehow gives them credibility. Most of these former players are encouraged to say outlandish things. Steve Smith does it all the time. People love it. Doesn't mean they are right.
  17. With this schedule, the question is will any QB we have on the roster, including Mayfield, going to win enough games to save Rhule?
  18. 100% He's why I think we should start Corral. 1. He'll have a decent line to play behind. He won't have to deal with a David Carr line. (worst than ours was last year) 2. Quick release and he'll get the ball out quickly into playmakers hands. He doesn't have to carry the team on his shoulders. 3. His mobility is an exciting trait and if he learns to slide when necessary he'll get fans in the seats. 4, Most importantly, his leadership. He has that knack to get players behind him. Darnold doesn't have it, Bridgewater doesn't have it and it's going to take alot for Mayfield to get it with this team. There is something special about his leadership skills. Jake had it and Corral is much more talented than Jake.
  19. @Pakmeng Is correct, Brady was settling at LT when he finally got a chance to play. Brown was out of shape "according to Rhule's standards" but shouldn't have kept him off the field to show what he could do. You or anyone else is not going to convince me that Brown could have done any worse that the turnstiles that were on the field. Don't be surprised to see Brown in the mix with Campen at the helm of our O-line. Rhule needs to get off his mid round rookies don't play fetish and start the best talent on the field.
  20. Agreed, but this goes back to Rhules future. The only way we chose a QB in 2023 is if Corral get's a chance to play. Personally, I think with a full training camp and a bit of confidence. Corral can win as many games as Mayfield will. Our schedule is brutal. The AFC North has 2 teams that are playoff contenders (Cinn and Balt). If Pickett shows up make that 3 and Cleveland depending on who's under center could be a 4th. The NFCW has the Super Bowl Champ and Arizona and SF potential playoff partners. Not to mention our own division. Rhule's going to have a tough time fighting these teams off. Rhule should go with Corral and hopefully shows he can be our future and might convince Tepper we are heading in the right direction, regardless of record.
  21. Baker won't be on the Cleveland Roster come opening day. However, they can hold onto him and keep him from learning our playbook. They've said they'll take half, we want all but 5 Million. As you said, it's down to who blinks first. Darnold will sink Rhule if he starts but if Mayfield doesn't get here until the season starts Mayfield will experience the same problems Cam had. No familiarity and will probably sink Rhule as well. Cleveland's gamble is Rhule won't start Corral whatsoever this season. If Corral comes into camp and really outshines Darnold, Corral could make Baker obsolete. That is providing Rhule doesn't pull the rookie deal he did with Christensen and Brown last season. The game is on.
  22. They may have no other choice. Cleveland is still asking too much for Mayfield and Corral may give them a better opportunity to win than Darnold.
  23. Can't argue with this. It's frustrating to know our country is as big as it is and we can't put together a World Cup team that can compete with everyone. Usually we are fighting just to make the cut for the tournament. I'm in a couple of bowling leagues on Friday and Saturday morning (weekend in Arab countries) and they show some of the matches while we bowl. They can be entertaining at times.
