  1. I was really pulling for him. Got lots of speed. Hopefully, he makes it to the PS.
  2. It was between Fox and Rivera because they took us to the SB. Fox gets my vote. Rivera did nothing at half time to help our offense. We could have won that game had Rivera/Shula made some adjustments. Dan Henning changed our entire gameplan at halftime since the Cheatriots knew everything we were running. That move by Henning gives my nod to Fox. While Henning was responsible, Fox gets some of the credit.
  3. Isn't that Fitterer's motto. "We'll listen to any calls" Or one of them.
  4. LOL I knew it was in NY and they wore blue.
  5. Especially Cincinnati. They rejion Burrows. Or possibly NYG where Joe Brady is.
  6. Especially since versatility has been kind of a motto for us. Would have definitely put the pressure on Jordan. I got this feeling that Rhule has some sort of fetish over Jordan. He talked him up last season and now seem to hold onto him longer. Hopefully, we are holding him until we can sign someone off waivers.
  7. Most teams know our depth. They know we can't or won't keep all these receivers on the roster. Why give up draft picks when in a couple hours they can claim them off waivers. The only value of a trade is that you get that player exclusively, I don't think there are many teams that are that desperate and will take their chances on the waiver wire.
  8. I was saying the same thing. I thought Howell did quite well considering the loss of talent. He was only 500 yds off his 2020 season. I wanted Howell but like I said before we drafted anyone. I would pull for the rookie QB. It's just sad that he never really received a chance. 1955 a QB from Louisville was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers and was never really given a chance to make the team. It wasn't until a Coach named Weeb Ewbank found the man with the "Golden Arm" Johnny Unitas Not saying Corral will be the next Unitas but someone is going to get him and find they have a pretty decent QB. Corral never received a fair shake here.
  9. I personally wanted Howell when we traded up and knew it was a going to be a QB. Howell with some experience IMO is going to be a good QB. Willis, I personally am skeptical but I've been wrong before. We'll just have to wait and see. Crow will be piping hot for someone. Corral did not get any help from Rhule. I think we can agree that Howell and Willis saw many (and I mean many) more Reps that Corral did. That said, before he got hurt he was playing far better in game 2 than he did in Game 1. Willis's first game was run first, throw second. So both showed imrovement from game one to their final preseason game. Now Rhule has put this team in a position to lose a 3rd round pick because we select a QB in 2023 if we get that high of a pick.
  10. This is probably the best argument for letting Hubbard go. If you can't be a good checkdown for a QB your time in the NFL will be limited. He's not a bad running but those stone hands will be his demise.
  11. Roberts may not beat out Shi Smith for return man. Shi has look outstanding at PR/KR in preseason. Roberts is 34 with a much higher salary than Newsome who is only 23. Newsome will pick up on a PS somewhere.
  12. And of course the talking heads are ALWAYS correct. He may be a good QB but IMO he isn't ready to take over QB1. Absolutely. From what I have seen he is ready to take off at the slightest amount of pressure. If he does start this year you can bet some great coverage schemes and well as some exotic blitzes to get him to run. I am sure he'll have a couple of highlight reel runs but sooner or later it will hurt him.
  13. OK that's an opinion, but I suspect that if Tannehill falters you will see Willis make his 1st read and run afterward. The guy IMO has a way to go before he's ready to be QB1.
  14. As much as I dislike Payton, Brees is a HOF QB for a reason. The guy seemed to always make the right play.
  15. Those are pretty good numbers but Willis is no where near ready to run an offense. Too often he is looking to run. I've been able to see him in his preseason games thanks to AFN and he'r a runner first. Too many times he is looking to run. I think Ridder is looking the best out of the rookies. Fortunately for him he was given plenty of Reps and it shows. Our rookie was given the opposite.
  16. Had some good carries and then some zero yard plays but he just moves faster and I hope he sticks.
  17. Drives me crazy with running backs Some are so interested in finding that hole they forget to run. You don't need to break a home run on every run. Following the blocking and get some yardage even as you say a couple inches or feet.
  18. I like Hubbard but Lovett is like lightning in a bottle. He moves so quickly that he's hitting the hole before it closes. If I had to choose I'd take Lovett.
  19. That's a nice list. Several teams are going to have to decide whether they want the cap hit or the player. I don't see many of these players getting traded.
  20. I know that we aren't shopping for a WR but if Lance McCutcheon is cut by the Rams we need to pounce on him ASAP. This guy is a beast and the Rams are already loaded at WR.
  21. With McCall seeming to be much better than anticipated our DT group while not stellar is solid. OL you have to be very cautious because that O-lineman was the 10th best player on that team. Probably not better than what we already have. He would have to be a long time Vet that is looking to play one or two more years. Or a rookie that has all the tools just needs more work. LB we're good DBs solid. I'm not sure we go after anyone. Thoughts
  22. When a team shuts out another team in preseason. That's pretty impressive. Considering by the time you get to the 4th QTR teams are playing their 3rd and 4th strings. Usually somewhere in there both teams score at least once.
  23. Smith had all the tools for a good LBer. It appears some good coaching was all he needed. It's sweet when a 4th round project pick starts to show he belongs before the end of his first preseason.
