Fanbase seems to have come a long way!
DaveThePanther2008 replied to UpstatePanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
We're going to need them to be super loud today. -
I've been watching YouTube and I can't believe how many clips there are about the poor officiating. There are several people that believe that the NFL rigs games. When you watch crap like this, it's hard to argue. I didn't watch the game but the clips make it hard to believe the NFL wanted the BUCS to win. The OPI on T-Mac was terrible and you can't tell me the refs didn't see the Buc player rip the helmet off our player.

Your 2025 NFC South Champs. Carolina Panthers

It's much better than talking about draft picks in late October. -
I have seen several clips about our fans. If we can bring this intensity Sunday against the Seahawks they can really make a difference.

He's gotta start acting like a veteran instead of a rookie. He always looks like he's playing scared.

Saw a mock draft where we selected this player.

Arrowhead is done, as Chiefs make move to Kansas.

Same here. But you gotta love the games that the weather plays a part. Our game against the Jaguars in the monsoon was epic. -

If every stadium was outdoor fans would still show up. If they can play in Buffalo and Green Bay outdoors and still fill the stadium, they'd fill the stadium anywhere. -

The NFL should go back to all outdoor stadiums. Weather has always been a factor in games and they shouldn't ruin it by everything indoors. Plus all games should be on natural grass. Then again I am old school and love the days of the Baltimore Colts playing in the snow and mud. -
The Case for(or Against) Drafting/Signing a TE
DaveThePanther2008 replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
What I like about Pitts is he's a big target. My only issue with him is, he seems to be a big baby now and then. -
With Henderson out, who IMO was the frontrunner. I think it is between T-Mac and Egbuka. Currently TGT Drops Rec RecYds YAC TD T-Mac 112 7 65 924 257 7 Egbuka 119 9 59 919 314 6 This is about as close as you can get it. Egbuka has more target, more drops and more YAC while T-Mac has less drops, more receptions, more receiving Yds and more TDs.

I think the Pack can beat anyone. They have a solid team. Should have won that Bears game. I hope we make the playoffs just to give our players a taste of the playoffs.
-
To be playing a meaningful game on the final game of the season is definitely a win. I think our goal this season was to be competitive each game. While we got blown out a few times we also beat some of the best teams in the league. We're home this week and if our fans come out and really get after the Seahawks our Panthers are going to be so hyped up, we're going to break the see-saw season.

Exactly my point.

You're assuming just as well. Morgan and Canales were hired 3 days apart. I believe it was partially due to their connections in Seattle. i believe Tepper wanted some familiarity with his GM and HC. It is so easy to sit back and arm-chair QB over draft picks. You don't know what the philosophy was going into the 2024 draft. I believe Canales and Morgan were drafting for the future. XL and Brooks point to that philosophy. Name me one GM that is 100% on draft picks. Just one. You're not going to find one. I think year one picks weren't for what can you do for me now but Potential. XL hasn't lived up to the hype of a 1st rounder. I think we all can agree on that. However, there still is hope he comes around. What I believe they saw in him was his speed after the catch. He needs to get more consistent but when he gets the ball you kind of hold your breath just a second because if he gets free, he's gone. The Brooks pick was a signing for the future, and no one could have guessed he would re-injure the same ACL. This makes the pick look bad but Dallas was ready to draft him later that same round. IMO we'll have to see what happens next season before we can call this a bust. Wallace has improved each season and for a third rounder has done well. Sanders has shown flashes and considering the pick in the 4th round it wasn't a bad pick. His sophomore season IMO was a little bit more productive. Smith-Wade has been a good addition and has played well. For a 5th round pick to get as much playing time as he has. Most picks below round 3 should take a couple of years to get up to speed. He's been a decent player. Crumedy, no comment We turned Barrett into Jackson. This was an amazing move and basically got a starting CB for a 7th round pick. Pretty shrewd if you ask me. Coker, maybe the best Free Agent signing of the 2024 draft class. So, in short, you can't say that the draft was a bust. It isn't a home run but all but one are still on the team and outside of Brooks have made contributions to wins. 2025 draft class has been much better with almost every pick making contributions this season. Now take Fitterer's two years and compare them to Morgan and tell me that they have the same philosophy.
-
Fitterer made the final decision. You can't pin Fitterer's regime on Morgan. We wouldn't have hired him if he had the same outlook. It is very clear that Morgan is not Fitterer.

You're never going to nail every pick. For a while there at the beginning of the season it looked like Princely was going to be better than Scourton. Just about every pick as produced somehow this season and that's rare. Not to mention the FA in Coker and Thourton. What I do like is most of these guys have that "Dawg" mentality and in year or so they are going to really start paying dividends.

I’m starting to believe Nijman….

Building depth is critical in this league. Icky is our LT but it's nice to know we are going to get our QB killed if he goes out a game or two. -
That can work both ways. They have no idea what Ewers can do. No tape just college. I am not giving TB an automatic win.

We are going to need full support next week. We have to make it very uncomfortable for Darnold. If we can, he'll make mistakes.
