You're right we aren't a passing team but a passing team without a complimentary running game will not go very far. Once you make a team stop running and just throwing, you're in for a long day.

Two years ago with those injuries we get Young killed. Now we have depth. i believe the announcers said a few times that this is our 10 offensive line combination in 13 games. There should be great credit to Dan Morgan for getting some depth on this team.

That's with almost any team. If you stop the run it is pretty easy to defend a passing team.

This is exactly how you beat one of the best teams in the NFL. You take the ball away and you score as many times as you can. LA Rams defense is one of the best defense in the NFL and I believe we scored more offensive points on them than they had against them all season. Great Win, Best win of Young's career.

Ransom is exactly the type of player Morgan wants. Tough, nasty and hungry. To build a great defense you have to have those types of players that want to punish people. Our greatest defenses have always had these types of players. Future looks bright.

I think you're probably right unless we just get stomped the next 4 weeks. You know Bryce as been proving people wrong from the time, he was a high school player. I hope that he continues proving us wrong. We do need to hire a forum doctor because the aneurysms that some are going to happen is going to be huge.

Chubby had said that he probably came backk too soon from his injured calf. Today he seemed to be running like Rico was a couple of weeks ago. He's running hard and not a lot of pitter patter. It's a good argument to have. I like both and I hope they both stay around for a while. However, I believe Rico is gone after this year.

I think we are in a tough spot. I think the option year will be based on these final 4 games. We're about .500 late in the season. Two things that need to happen. Canales needs to have a solid game plan going into these last 4 games. Bryce needs to be consistent in every game gone down the stretch. I am so confused that I am not going to jump on the Bryce bandwagon but I am also not giving up hope. I just wish he would be consistent and win the games we are supposed to win.

I love this pick. He was laying wood all over the place. I will be quite interested in his PFF score. His sack turned out to be a huge turning point in this game.

Well Tepper let Rhule dump Cam for his QB. Bridgewater was not the answer. From there it was downhill. I always thought that though Cam was limited he was still a better QB than anyone we picked up. I would have rather drafted a QB and learn behind Cam and eventually take over. After Rhule screwed it up, Tepper was going to pick his QB. He knew nothing about QB in the NFL. Too many Heisman QBs don't pan out in the NFL. Many won't acknowledge it but this forum was full of Tank for Young when he was in college. I wasn't one of them.

I think he's trending for a good culture but he tries to be cute with the game planning, and it is costing us games.

Here's what really sucks. I would bet almost bet to every man on this forum that if we went 7-10 or 8-9 they would have said it was a successful season. Say we beat N.O. and TB gives us the last game of the season because they can't lose the division and won't play their top players. We go 8-9. Canales is a genius, and we are stuck with Young and Canales for another year. Worst part is we only beat 1 quality team in GB minus TB who won't play their starters. I've had enough of Canales's moronic game planning. There is no excuse for the amount of carries this team had Sunday. Yeah, it was fun to see Bryce have a career day against Atlanta. If you play sports long enough, you'll have a day where you couldn't do no wrong. To game plan around the passing game was just plan moronic. SF defense was mediocre at best, and we managed 1 TD and 1 FG. WTF. But watch and see. We'll end up 7-10 or 8-9 and everyone is going to say we had a good year. Canales and Young are back in the saddle in 2026.

I've faced the reality that we need a new QB. I have been a very strong supporter of Young but not anymore. We are spinning our wheels if DC, DM and DT believe Young is the Answer. Look how quickly SF moved on from Willis. They realized he wasn't who they thought he was. Got Lucky with Purdy. We have to face the same reality. Until than every season Young is here we will be begging for .500.

We're falling into the same trap Miami is in. Tua is never going to carry Miami to the playoffs but is going to win enough games to keep him as a QB. BY can beat bad teams but when it comes to winning against good opponents, he can't carry the team.

If we don't, at minimum, draft a QB in round 2 or 3 and/or bring in a QB that can realistically win the job than we are going to stuck in purgatory for a long time.

I think we put Horn on Kittle and have someone spy CMC. Make someone else beat us. Evero needs an insane game plan if we are going to beat SF.

Winning close games is what I think this team's character is. We want to run the ball and keep the other team's offense off the field. We control the clock and keep the score close. We end up winning these games. The games where we can't control the tempo of the game is where we get blown out.
