QB 2026 (For the Young Haters)
DaveThePanther2008 replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
OK, how are you going to fix it? Outside of complaining that you don't like Young. How are you fixing your dislike for Young as our QB? -

Totally agree. Keep our picks. Unless we get lucky and find some super star mid to late round pick. We're not landing a sure-fire franchise QB. -

You're making my point. You want this and that but when it comes to making a decision on who you are going to replace Young with, you can't give me a player better. -

Who? Who is it you're going to trade for? -

Yeah Cincinnati is going to trade Burrow. This isn't fantasy football. No one in their right mind is going to trade away Burrow. Be realistic. You have so many negative takes, but you have no solution. Just continual hate for a QB that has won his last 4 games IN A ROW. -
So many haters on Young and while I don't necessarily believe he's the answer at QB, I also don't believe he's not the answer. His lack of deep passes is concerning but I believe a lot of that has to do with Canales. Anyhow, at our current position we are 16th in the Draft. Tied with KC on record. Who at 16 are you going to take at QB? If you aren't drafting a QB. Who are you bringing in to compete for the starting QB spot. Young is going in to camp as the QB1.

Why do people think Bryce Young won this game yesterday?
DaveThePanther2008 replied to RumHam's topic in Carolina Panthers
My question is do we win with Dalton? Say what you want but Young made a critical throw to Coker in the final drive to set up Rico's game sealing 19 yd run. -
Panthers match mark only met once since 1970

It has always been that way. i was watching a Video on the 2015 Panthers. We were underdogs going into Dallas on Thanksgiving day. Undefeated while Dallas was hovering around .500 but Romo was coming back. We were underdogs. Panthers never get respect. 2015 it seemed every week we were to worst whatever and 0 team ever. Every week -
Are you in favor of resting Dowdle this week?!?
DaveThePanther2008 replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well, that actually makes more sense. A groin injury is not something you want push. -
As much as i would love to see us make the playoffs this year. i don't think we are in the position to go deep into the playoffs, if we made it there. I think we sit pat with our draft picks and do not trade for anyone.

Too soon to say. I like Young but I want to see the rest of the season play out.

We were playing in a game with terrible conditions. The job was win the game. Get the team in position to win. Where did he not do what we were suppose do to. I know your blatant hatred for Young. Got it. You'll just keep hating and giving credit to everyone but Young. For the record. That's #9 game winning drives by our starting QB. You know when we lose it's all on the QB. So, when we win it is all on the QB.

It's nice to see a Fan giving props to the opponent. After the game all i heard was GB was looking ahead to Philly. The weather, the offense wasn't moving the ball on and on. No one saying the Panthers went into GB and took the W. It was all excuses why GB lost the game. So, I appreciate your take on the game. GB has a very distinct home field advantage, especially in December and January. GB has some of the best fans in the league and make it very difficult for any offense. The game plan was control the ball and keep the high-power offense off the field. It worked. 7 total possession. We kept it close and won. Thanks Bro, you're a class act.

Canales just outcoached LaFleur
DaveThePanther2008 replied to Panthering's topic in Carolina Panthers
You can downplay the decision to take the ball first and have field choice in the second half all you want. But our game plan was to control the ball and give us a chance to win down the stretch. The defensive game plan was good, and they kept the game close. That decision was a huge factor in our win. We got in position to win going in the direction of better field goal possibilities. So many haters can't just enjoy the win. It was a defensive battle, and we scored TDs while they were kicking field goals. The Panthers had a good game plan and they won because of it. That's on Canales. Just like last weeks game plan. it was terrible and it was on Canales. ' -

No doubt. He did a great job on Parsons. Parsons was a nonfactor. -
He's the starting QB. We should be happy he's back. When you look at QBs like Joe Burrow, as talented as he is, he can't stay healthy. I give Young props for manning up and playing through the pain. He was definitely not 100%.
-
We were playing one of the best defenses in the league. He wasn't brilliant but he got the job done. The conditions were terrible and he lead us on two TD scoring drives. Not only that but we kept Parsons almost invisible. I know he's not a top 5 QB but we lose with Dalton.
-
He runs so hard. Watching him play through the groin pain was inspiring. You could clearly see he was hurting but he wasn't going to let the team down. WE NEED 53 just like him.
-
Exactly, He saw open field and took his eyes off the ball. It doesn't get much easier. It so easy to F it up when you see that much space in front of you.

There is no way we should trade Hubbard without have a deal in place with Rico. Last thing we need to do is get rid of a good running back for draft pick(s) without having our #1 RB in place for several years.
-
This seems to be a never-ending story with our head coaches. How many coaches have we had that have played people they are paying big money too when others are outperforming them. It surely does get old.

Is Canales digging his own grave?
DaveThePanther2008 replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
During the hiring process one of the reasons, he was selected was he was a QB whisperer and that he could get Young to be our franchise QB. While we have seen some amazing improvement in Young he hasn't gotten him over the hump. -

I get what you are saying. Feeding off bottom dwelling teams is not going to be the highwater mark. I like him, he's had some good games and almost pulled of some incredible upsets but almost doesn't count. I just don't feel like he has much more to give. -
The decision to keep the charade going between Chubba and Rico would be the start. His lack of "dawg" in him. Questionable play calling. All of this and more seem to point to he's not the one we need running the show.
