  1. L. Robinson from Navy went to Cincinnati. Being a fan of the midshipmen and a 25 yr VET. He's a great pick up for a 7th round pick. Nice.
  2. I think they were grasping to replace Big Ben. thought maybe a local QB would take his spot.
  3. Gotta be injury or character issues that make them fall so far. Harris was projected 2 - 3 round.
  4. If he makes it to 11 in this round. I would too. A couple of seasons ago he was highly rated. Not sure what made him drop but a flyer in round 7 is worth the shot.
  5. According to ESPN best available list Z. Harris DT Ole Miss projected 63 D. Burk WR Oklahoma projected 81 G. Nussmeier QB LSU projected 87 D. Lawson ILB Alabama projected 103 H. Perkins LB LSU projected 107 J. Endries TE Texas project 117 VJ Payne S K-State project 124 R. Benny DT Michigan 132 J. Taylor RB Virginia 136 L. Moss RB Texas A&M 143
  6. I was always supportive of him. I thought maybe a couple of seasons with real men might turn him into a star. I was hoping by midway through 2025 he'd start to earn his draft spot. He hasn't and maybe a change of scenery would do him good. He's dropping like a hot potato on the depth chart and IMO is done in Carolina.
  7. I don't know if you saw the interview with Freeling after he was picked. He said give him about two weeks and he could play RT. So it gives me hope that if Moton wears down he could move over to RT. Also, I would think he could play inside if necessary.
  8. No mixed messages. I loved the pick and hopefully Freeling fills that role. Image if we had Gross in 2015. We would have been Super Bowl champs. I have no doubt about it.
  9. I loved it too. So many wanted a LB or Safety. I said months ago that I thought our biggest need was OT. I would have loved to see one of the top players fall to us. In a sense, it did with Freeling because most mocks had him gone before 19. Nothing would make me happier than to see us have a LT that we can rely on. I remember when we had J. Gross and no one ever mentioned OT when the draft came up. It would be nice to have a LT we could count on for 10 years or so.
  10. I agree, especially since we do have a 7th rounder. XL will have a huge mountain to climb. I don't see where he is higher than 4th on the depth chart right now.
  11. Good, I went through the ESPN tracker 2x before I posted. I didn't see the 7th round pick. That's cool. What is your flavor.
  12. Well, we are out of picks, so unless we trade a future pick or XL. I doubt we are getting back into this draft.
  13. With all our picks over and done with the only thing DM might do is trade him for a 7th round pick.
  14. If you were going to grade this class based on how sexy a pick they where I would have said 32 out of 32. But this class IMO is going to pay great dividends down the road. Morgan, IMO, nailed it.
  15. Freeling - A highly rated OT that gives us several options going forward, especially with Icky and Moton. Not sexy but great pick, IMO Hunter - A violent man. You put him with DB and Scourton and our recent FA. Our front seven looks pretty damn good. Brazzell - A big WR with ungodly speed. Gives DC and Young options at WR and a deep WR Room Lee - CB that can help our back end. We'll see where he end up. Hecht - 2nd rated Center in the draft and we got him in round 5. Can't argue with the pick. Our OL depth was very thin. He'll help Wheatly - fills a need at Safety. How can you be upset. Overall, Dan Morgan picked Dan Morgan type of players. I know there are going to be several arm chair GMs that will nitpick this draft but IMO it is another solid draft class.
  16. Addressing OL depth with the 2nd rated center in the draft is pretty damn good. I would assume he'll get some time at guard too. This is probably the most unsexy draft we have ever had but damn it addresses a lot of needs.
  17. How can you pass on a player that answers you like that. I love it.
  18. Kelvin Benjamin was a talent. It wasn't talent that failed him. It was his appetite. How does he remind you of these former players? I'm not arguing, I'm trying to figure out your logic. So because he's a tall WR, he automatically fits your criteria?
  19. Why not? You make a point about so many 6'4" / 6'5" being a bust in the NFL but can only name one. I know of several but for every failure there are more than one success.
