One thing I like about this is that the writers that cover these teams make the choice. While some of them may be lousy and not have a clue about their respective team. I think most do. I haven't be sold on Devon Smith but I will be ok with it.

I spent 25 years in the Navy and trust me. Plenty of those men and women that fight wars were still immature and need growing up. Because you join the military it doesn't mean you are grown up.

You speak as if you know this for a fact? My guess is not which means you are guessing, opinionated nothing more. Word on the street? You have an inside track to other teams meetings. I seriously doubt it. While I agree the chances we pass on him are high and before I saw the piece on NFL Network I was certain we wouldn't. My point on the OP was I believe he is truly trying to change his image and start anew and we should do our due diligence to check him out. Most people are so hell bent on labeling a KID trouble because he made some juvenile mistakes. When he thrives with another team and becomes a star.... don't worry I won't say I told you so. YOU'LL KNOW IT.

Domestic Violence is in no means acceptable. It could be a one time thing or it could worse. Because he did it once doesn't mean he will do it again. I have know the most docile person be pushed into violence. Does that make him or a serial woman beater. I know this persons hasn't laid a hand on anyone since. You don't know, neither do it. What I do know is he has been drama free for over a year. He has had counseling and is trying to start a new life. My point is, sit down, speak with the guy, speak with the coach at OU and do you homework like you did Cam and make a determination then. Don't label a 19 to 20 year old young man because he did something stupid over a year ago.

The guy has kept clean for over a year now. Doesn't that mean anything. Sophomore in College is what 19-20 years old? He seems remorseful and has had counseling What more can you expect? Once again I think we are going to pass but I also believe we are going to regret it too. He is going to be a star and we could pass on a player that could mean the difference in the Super Bowl and just another team not quite good enough to win it all. I think, and hopefully we have, done more research into what he has done since he went to Oklahoma.

I was not on the DGB bandwagon until I saw the piece on NFL network. The guy seems genuinely ready to move onto the next step in his life. You can give a 1000 reasons why you don't want him but to imply he isn't a first round talent is ignorant. The guy is 6'6" and can run and catch. While I agree DG and JR have pretty much said they didn't want the headaches. I think if he is available they at least have to consider him. It could mean the difference between a ring and another disappointing loss in the playoffs.

SURE..... I want to make a bet on the NFL Draft. The only thing I would bet is if you are right you'll come back and say I told you so as if you are Mel Kiper himself. You are about right as I am wrong. When and where he gets picked it won't be because you said so. Keys to life. Never bet on something you cannot control.
-
I believe they will look long and hard if he is there. I actually believe he won't be there at 25 so we will never truly find out. Someone is going to take that chance ahead of us.

I just saw a piece on NFL network and I would not be upset if we grabbed him at 25. It was a good piece and shows a humble side and whatever he did has made him grow up and is ready to be a professional. At 6'6" and the skills that he has. I would love to see him opposite KB.
