  1. I was on the Bwegs train from the beginning so this was an awesome interview. Love his confidence. He might make the post Stewart transition smooth.
  2. He'll grow into one of the all time fan favorites here. Watch and See.
  3. Wegher performed as well or better in every week of preseason. When Stewart got barely a yard a carry last week. Weghers bagged 3+ YPC You play when you are told to play. Maybe they didn't play him with the first to keep him hungry but IMO cutting him before Fozzy is wrong. If you are going to keep the best 53 than keep the best 53. If Wegher is 54 then so be it. IMO he is top 53. I don't care if he was the last UDFA to sign with a team this off-season. He is a gem and we are going to find out one way or another. Hopefully, DG would prefer it in a Panther Uniform. I have been pulling for him from day one. Will I implode if he doesn't make it. NOPE but when he becomes a stud with another team. I will, along with many others on this forum, say I told you so.
  4. Honestly we might game plan and IMO we should. I hate the Patriots and beating them in regular season or preseason makes my day. But if it comes down to losing to them because Star, CJ, Short and Stewart all skip the game so they are healthy for game one. I won't fret too much if they win or not. Beating them in preseason mean absolutely nothing. Beating them in Week 21 sure the hell Does I'll bet most of our DL sits tomorrow night.
  5. Yep they just put a spotlight on him and he'll be playing football in September hopefully it is in OUR colors.
  6. I really like this lineup. The love for Cotchery is overwhelming sometimes. If the guy is on the sideline in the ear of rookie and 2nd year WRs then he isn't doing us any good. We have Ricky to do that. I think our roster has everything he can do on the field and most likely do it better. Too many are living in the Tolbert past. One of my favorite players but Ward makes more sense. Wegher;s is the real deal and we are going to regret it if we let him walk. I think what would solve all our concerns would be to let them get some time with the first team offense.See how mighty they are against first line defensive players
  7. Now that is a vision that is going to take a while to get out of my mind. uuuugggghhhh Jeremy in nipple shorts.
  8. Year or two before that was AE and we cut him. LOL
  9. I have been on the Wegher bandwagon since we signed him as a free agent. You don't get to see the speed too much in practice and granted it was 3rd string but damn. That boy has got some wheels. He kind of reminds me of Stewart. He looks as strong as an ox. I would to see him with the 2s or maybe even get a first team rep or two.
  10. Well we have all seen the camp superstar fizzle out so I won't put him on the 53 just yet. I am sure after 2 or 3 pre-season games and he plows a big hole for someone or catches a first down or two. He'll make it. My pre-season UDFA has been quiet as a mouse (Wegher) so might as well jump on someone's bandwagon. This guy is good as any.
  11. While I agree to a point this isn't a bad thing. I hope they don't go for the damn ball before the tackle is made. I hope they don't focus so much on stripping the ball they forget about the tackle.
  12. My take on Williams is, during OTAs and mini camps this guy was a sponge for information. I remember some pictures of him getting instruction and how he seems to be absorbing everything in the lesson. So if this guy worked at his craft trying to implement what he learned in his lessons. Why is it so impossible for him to be good enough to move to the left. While the sample (only 7 plays) is too small to make an educated decision. He clearly has made strides in improving himself. I am not ready to give up on Oher just yet. He has time to get comfortable and become the answer. If not, Williams may have enough time to get better and better. This stereotyping arms being too short or too long or guys being to big or whatever is stupid. IF the man can play the position I don't care if he doesn't have arms at all. If he can play, he can play.
  13. Hopefully, it is just shaking off some rust. No excuses but this was the first practice with pads.
  14. Get that connection between them. It is odd to see a WR look Cam eye to eye. Those are some big boys.
  15. Jeremy, It is always a pleasure to read your write ups. Many of us can't get down to Spartanburg to watch our beloved Panthers. Your talents with the Camera have been mentioned many times here. But, I never get enough of your pictures. Thanks for all you do, your site, your pictures and your briefs. Football season will never be as good as it is with you. Thanks
  16. Definitely a Gem and glad we signed him. I remember they were talking how when they broke the huddle. He always yelled break or something to that effect. Kind of motivating the rest of the players. Guys like him are infectious. Get a couple like him. Big and Nasty like Williams is supposed to be. We'll have a mauler front line like our defensive front line. Nasty Hog Mollies. Go Panthers
  17. I think he keeps him centered. He moved his feet and had him pretty well centered. He might get Cam to step but on that play he wouldn't have given a sack up. Alexander is a talented DE and IMO will be the starter opposite CJ. Oher can handle that. We'll be ok.
  18. Some teams the rookies report today. One more week. It will be fun to see this team again. Can't wait for the pictures and remarks from those that attend.
  19. Why? Cause you say so? It is far more logical than him being as good as Ginn/Brown based on his rookie season. Ace 2013 51 Receptions for 484 2014 6 Receptions for 55 Colbert 2004 49 Receptions for 754 2005 25 Receptions for 282 2006 5 Receptions for 55. Ace's decline was a year faster than Colbert. Now we are going to argue he is a better punt returner than Ginn? He is a waste of a space. The WRs we have on our roster have a better chance to make this team than a scrub from USC. STFU and come back with something intelligent next time.. That is if you got something intelligent to say.
  20. You mean like Kerry Colbert? He had 49 receptions his rookie year and then disappear just like this guy.
  21. Micnificent28 gotta ask. Why are you so hell bent on this borderline NFL WR being a Panther? I seriously doubt that a WR dumped off Jacksonville's 90 man roster is going to be that piece missing to win the Super Bowl. Honestly, Not better than KB or the Rook Funchess, not better than Ginn or Brown. Hill probably has more upside. Bersin has more size period. At a buck 75 I doubt he is going to lay anyone out on special teams. Love the ole College spirit but some guys careers end after College he should be happy he got a couple years in the NFL. We don't need him, obviously outside of you and one or two others no one really wants him. For me, I am happy with the group we are going to camp with. We have some bigger names than Ace Sanders that aren't going to make this team. Let it go.
  22. What this does for me is makes me appreciate Cam, his agent and DG. Cam could have made a big stink and this would have been the biggest news all year long. Instead they did it the right way. Out of the Media. DG and Cam's agent got him a good deal without bankrupting the team. This shows just how much Class Cam really has.
