  1. The thread that was posted from quotes from the game stated just that. They wanted to see us man up and get that one yard.
  2. As much as I love his cannon leg. He can't be missing chip shot FG. I hope we bring some competition in these last two weeks.
  3. I imagine that we will be scanning the wire for a veteran QB to backup Darnold. If that happens we won't keep 4 QBs. One will either be cut or sent to the PS. Now that Grier and PJ both have had the opportunity to run with the 2nd team offense who do you think has the upper hand for our 3rd string QB? PJ seems to be more electric but Grier didn't hurt himself with the 2s. Week 3 will tell a lot after Darnold finishes the 1st half of the Pittsburgh game. Whoever starts the 2nd half might be the one on the way out. Give him one final shot with the 2nd team offense. Thoughts
  4. Very few for either squad will be on the final 53. A couple but not many.
  5. Yeah, I hope we don't get to a point where we have to decide on Moore or another player. I would rather keep our drafted talent over an aging vet.
  6. True. Where are you? I am in Kuwait and it's morning here but you normally comment on my takes when I post. Do you live outside the U.S. or work night? Or just have no life and stay on here all the time. (JOKE)
  7. Christensen may start and Brown may be the first one off the bench when someone goes down. Our draft picks are looking solid.
  8. It's a bit disheartening that we aren't scoring on every drive but I think this preseason more than any other preseason is about evaluating the bottom half of our roster. I thought our depth played well against Indy but not so much last night. I think the brightest part of preseason is that just about every draft pick has flashed some ability to play in this league. That makes watching preseason bearable.
  9. 1. TB, Carolina and Seattle are the most anemic offenses in the league. 2. Buffalo, Miami, Tennessee and Denver are offensive Juggernauts. 3. Houston, NYJ and LV are highly competitive and will be in playoff contention. This is exactly why you should NOT be overly concerned that we didn't win our game last night. Coaches are more about evaluating players than they are concerned about winning a meaningless game. We knew it was going to happen last week. No matter how well Darnold did in his one series. Half the Huddle was going to pick one throw or missed throw and determine Darnold is garbage or HOFer. Mostly the former. Just relax folks. The line shuffling will start to slow down these next two weeks and for better or worse we will have our starting 5 on the O-line. Brady will have his starting 5 on the O-line. He'll also have a drool bucket to contain himself from all the weapons he has at his disposal. Rhule, Snow and Brady will actually sit down on 6 September and start building a game plan for the Jets.
  10. We start Jordan Gross at RT his rookie season. Smart move.
  11. This was my thought as well. Actually he was playing against most of the #1s.
  12. He's in a good place. He is rolling 21-0 with the Buffalo offense against the Bears #1 defense. Pretty impressed. Buffalo is going to be tough this year.
  13. The O-line. I believe starting next week heading into the final preseason game we are going to put our best 5 out there. This is the last week we juggle the line. So it will be interesting to see who steps up to be that starting 5.
  14. We decided to cut loose Cam after a couple of years worth of shoulder injuries. Dallas has decided to hang in there with Dak. You reap what you sow. Sadly, they gave him a new contract so they'll be stuck with him for a couple more years hoping and praying he gets back to his old ways. You put the best 53 on the field. It isn't our problem that they won't have their star.
  15. It shouldn't be overlooked that he had a career year playing with Melo. He did well when he was out but Melo puts him in position to shoot wide open three's because of his playmaking ability. This is a good sign for Charlotte. You can't keep letting good players go to other teams and expect to ever get out of the cellar in the NBA.
  16. Not trying to dish Kai at all but most of his highlights are dunks. I the NBA you aren't going to get to the rim like he did in college and the summer league. I think he needs a year in the G League. If you start him with the big boys he's going to lose confindence in a hurry. G League bound to build skill and confidence.
  17. I can agree with most of this but I think we split, at minimum, with New Orleans. 11-6
  18. 0 for 0. All running plays. The conspiracy theories about Brady and Rhule trying to hide Darnold's abilities will begin. Truthfully, 5-7 85 yards 1 TD to Marshall.
  19. I think the O line is a work in progress but if we have to remember we have probably the best check down back in the NFL. He can help offset a sub-average O-line.
  20. Darnold is definitly a dark horse but if he leads this team to a playoff berth He'll at least be in the conversation. He has many weapons and if he utilizes them, he has a chance. Small but not out of the question.
  21. Agreed but Moton is at minimum mediuim, Chinn is high and the only reason is Horn is low is because he is a rookie. I also want to add Darnold. If he utilizes his weapons and limits the mistakes he will be in the conversation.
  22. Just put him in the HOF already. I'm sick of listening to the talking head rave about him. He's good but he isn't the second coming.
