  1. The weekend here is Friday and Saturday. Ramadan ends on the 30th. All ministries are off all next week. I have 9 days off and don't work until the night of the 7th. This part of the world has more holidays than days of work.
  2. After I retired from the USN, I spent 2003 to 2019 supporting our troops but this job, I am working for a company that supports the F18 Hornet for the Kuwait Air Force. A bunch of retired Sailors doing what we did on active duty.
  3. I am hoping we trade down and still get an OT and get Howell. That said, I will be 100% onboard on whoever we take and all the Karen's that blown a gasket and say they quit on this team. We'll see you in September.
  4. Hahahaha.... Sadiki . Kuwait is a dry country so homemade is the only sauce in town. Any real alcohol will cost between $100 and $200 a bottle. No, full room carpets but the Mosques erupt every couple of hours. Especially since it is Ramadan.
  5. Sitting up at 3am to watch this draft. Thank God I don't have to work tomorrow but have Bowling at 9am.
  6. I liked the piece on Willis. Sounds like a real down to earth guy. Good Luck to him whoever picks him.
  7. I know some sites that you have to wait 24-48 hours before you can post. Is that possible here?
  8. I think what makes this one interesting is how this draft will fall out. No one is a clear #1. For us it will be how we handle our pick. Will we see a trade down and pick up a LT and still get a QB or will we sit at 6 and hope Sam has a better season. It's not as exciting as having 11 picks but definitely interesting.
  9. Teams or writers will do anything to get a player to fall to them. How many mid-round teams would love to get there hands on Neal.
  10. Trading picks, I don't see it. Trading a current player maybe. I seriously doubt that we'll value a player over Burns or CMC. Robby and a 3rd next year might work but I doubt we trade any active player.
  11. Once again, Unless we trade down in the first we won't have a 2nd or a 3rd to offer for a 2nd round pick. No team is going to trade a 2nd round pick for a 2nd round next year. They'll want a first. IF, we managed a 2nd round pick we would have to give up a 2nd and 3rd and possibly more in 2023. That would put us in the same situation we are in this year.
  12. I don't see us trading up in round 2 unless we trade down and pick up assets. A round two pick would most likely cost us a round one pick in 2023.
  13. Not much to worry about that. Tepper has made it clear that we will not be negative in a trade scenario.
  14. I would prefer to trade down and get a QB and LT. However, what if we decide to run with Darnold since we have upgraded our O-line so much that they feel he'll play better this year. Plus they may have decided to give Christensen a full year at LT. We drafted him to play LT, 2022 he should be given the chance. We aren't as strong on defense as we were last year and we could use another body to rush the passer or if Sauce fell to us. Team him with Horn and we'd have 2 shut down corners for the next 4 years. It also reminds me of the interview with Campen last week where he said there could be a solid LT in the lower rounds. Maybe we have a target for one of these lower round picks and would address the position then.
  15. I think rolling with Cam would be better than rolling with Sam but that is just my opinion. Cam with a decent line is better than Darnold with a decent line.
  16. My first statement. I know most of you, including myself, want a new QB. But the possibility is there especially if we don't trade down and take an OT at 6.
  17. That would be an option. What's the tag look like. 30 Million?
  18. I gotcha bro. BUT what if. If Sam plays well he throws a wrench into the Huddle's dream of getting a New Coach and QB.
  19. Of course, but what would you do going into 2023. Sam would be up for a new contract. Do you give it to him with the fear he reverts back to his 2021 season lingering or do you let him walk and we go elsewhere for QB.
  20. I know most of you, including myself, want a new QB. What if we decide to take an OT at 6 and don't pull the trigger on Jimmy G or Baker. We go into the season with Sam Darnold as our starting QB. Our line is going to be much much better with the players we have now compared to last season and they are under new management from Campen. We have the weapons to make some noise offensively. What do we do if Sam has a good year? What if McAdoo gets out of him what Brady couldn't? Say we make the playoffs as a wild card team and we are picking in the bottom half of the 2023 draft. Do you resign Darnold or let him walk and get the compensation pick for him. Do we resign him for a mid-level QB contract. Do we target a free agent QB? If Darnold plays well this forum is going to have a field day on what to do next year. We'd be out of the top 10 in the draft. Probably too far down to get a 2023 rookie. Thoughts?
  21. Would love to see Deebo here but he wants a bank roll and we're not in a position to grab him. Plus SF is going to ask for multiple draft picks and it has been made quite clear. Tepper isn't going to let Rhule mortgage the future for this team.
  22. It's possible, but Cleveland at some point is going to realize they are going to have to eat most of his contract. No team is going to take on his 18m final year deal. Before they cut him they'll accept a low round pick and swallow the contract than to walk away with nothing.
  23. Nothing personal. I wasn't offended. i just get the feeling you dislike Howell, maybe cause he's from UNC, and make statements that don't match up with what professional scouts say about him. Rather you come out and say why you dislike him than to say things that are exactly true.
  24. Great logic and wouldn't be surprised to see any of these. However, if we are going to take Baker and Cleveland eats most of his contract I'd like to see this scenario. Some mock drafts I have seen Sauce drop to us at #6. NYJ really want him (listen to Rich Eisen who is a big Jets fan) and will never make it to 10. I say we drop down to 10 and pick up either their 2nd round or our old 2nd round pick. We take the best OT available at 10 and get Corral or Howell in the 2nd round. This way we have a young QB who can hold the clipboard for a season and learn the system just in case Baker wants a bank load or bombs out.
