Part of Darnold's problem was he would have a target open and wouldn't read it fast enough. This kid has a quick trigger and I don't think we are going to have that problem. He might have a terrible year in his first year under center but most QBs do. Most QBs have one or two concerns about them. Very few are perfect coming out of college. I just believe everyone should sit back and, at minimum, watch a couple of practices or preseason games before anointing him the 2nd coming or a complete bust.

You know conversation is good and I have had many with someone who I disagreed with but they always come with facts. You are only speculating and have No Clue one way or the other whether he's going to be Tua or Elway. You base your entire statement off a player from a different system. Our GM and coach think he is the best player for this team, especially in this round.

I said "What I find funny other than one or two of you." You were one of them. That said you're not the expert. Why can't you wait to see before spouting off whether or not he's going to be Tua. Someone else responded to your post and said play action will be a very big part of our offense which Corral has plenty of experience with. Corral has the arm to throw deep accurately. Most of you that I listed wanted someone else so you have come up with some lame reason why he's going to fail. He may be terrible in 2022 but so have many other HOF QBs so let's see.

I wasn't a fan of his, no specific reason, but I am 100% on board. Go watch the Chris Simm's video. He's a lot smarter than most of us when it comes to QB. Can't you at least wait until 1 OTA before you start trashing him. What I find funny other than one or two of you. You offer no real reason other than to hate. I just watched the Fitterer/Rhule press conference and Matt's interview. I don't know if his skill set will transition to the NFL but I have a feeling he is going to work his ass off to prove he belongs. The part of the interview I really like was when they were talking about his injury in the bowl game and when he came back onto the field every player rallied around him. I could not help but think about how Jake Delhomme was with this team. He wasn't the most talented QB but he was a gamer and the ENTIRE team was behind him. If he can be a leader like Jake and run this offense with the talent we have. We could end up with the steal of the draft. I am super excited to hear about him through OTAs, minicamps, training camp and preseason. I also hope he outshines Darnold and plays this season. I would rather him learn this season than sitting 2022 and having to wait until 2023. I also hope the Panthers do well and we win. I could care less if it saves Rhule's job or not.

At least I have the balls to admit I was wrong. Most won't own up to it.

After Willis, who I did not want. I would say the huddle was 50/50 on Howell and Corral. Whoever gets Howell is going to be pleasantly surprised at his value. BTW I have to eat some crow as someone I was talking with said Howell was a forth rounder and I thought no way. Just hand me some BBQ sauce to make it go down easier.

This damn thing started at 2am (Kuwait time zone). Each pick I was waiting for a trade. We did good getting him this far down. I wanted Howell but will trust in the professionals. We got our Franchise LT and rookie QB so that should make the majority of huddlers happy.

I've been up all night waiting for this. Hopefully it is Howell.

Darnold has not shown much promise but if he ever is going to succeed this will be his year.

I think we are going to see a notable difference in this team. Not only do we have better talent on the O-line but the entire coaching staff is full of NFL experience. Compared to last season where we had a bunch of Rhule's hand picked college coaches. Those coaches were in way over their heads and I am glad Tepper insisted that Rhule bring in experienced NFL coach. Fitterer did a good job identifying these coaches and hiring them. I believe that most NFL coaches have forgotten more than a college coach ever knew.. I think McAdoo is going to bring some thump to our offense. Snow's defense is going to be much better also even though we lost Riddick. I also believe with assistant coaches like Campen and Wilks this team is going to be like Night and Day from last year. I am anxious to see how this team starts to mold together as OTAs, Minicamps and training camp.

I am obviously in the minority here. Cam WOULD be better than anything we could acquire right now. I think if he had a complete off season with this team. Have a chance to work with the offense from day one. Cam would show everyone that he isn't finished. At minimum he is leaps and bounds better than PJ and should be given the opportunity to compete at the position. If he can beat out Darnold and PJ or whoever is on the roster he should be our QB1.

I'm sure they were on the phone. Most of the top 5 had their pick in pretty quickly. In the end someone was trying to fleece us and Fitterer said "No Way"

McAdoo has his power running game. If we don't go for Baker, Darnold won't have to do much to move this team.

All the talk of all these trades, including us, and not a one so far. Teams have their eyes on players that are falling to them.

Perfect scenario for us. Worst for the Falcons. They need defense and the first 5 were defensive.
