  1. No mixed messages. I loved the pick and hopefully Freeling fills that role. Image if we had Gross in 2015. We would have been Super Bowl champs. I have no doubt about it.
  2. I loved it too. So many wanted a LB or Safety. I said months ago that I thought our biggest need was OT. I would have loved to see one of the top players fall to us. In a sense, it did with Freeling because most mocks had him gone before 19. Nothing would make me happier than to see us have a LT that we can rely on. I remember when we had J. Gross and no one ever mentioned OT when the draft came up. It would be nice to have a LT we could count on for 10 years or so.
  3. I agree, especially since we do have a 7th rounder. XL will have a huge mountain to climb. I don't see where he is higher than 4th on the depth chart right now.
  4. Good, I went through the ESPN tracker 2x before I posted. I didn't see the 7th round pick. That's cool. What is your flavor.
  5. Well, we are out of picks, so unless we trade a future pick or XL. I doubt we are getting back into this draft.
  6. With all our picks over and done with the only thing DM might do is trade him for a 7th round pick.
  7. If you were going to grade this class based on how sexy a pick they where I would have said 32 out of 32. But this class IMO is going to pay great dividends down the road. Morgan, IMO, nailed it.
  8. Freeling - A highly rated OT that gives us several options going forward, especially with Icky and Moton. Not sexy but great pick, IMO Hunter - A violent man. You put him with DB and Scourton and our recent FA. Our front seven looks pretty damn good. Brazzell - A big WR with ungodly speed. Gives DC and Young options at WR and a deep WR Room Lee - CB that can help our back end. We'll see where he end up. Hecht - 2nd rated Center in the draft and we got him in round 5. Can't argue with the pick. Our OL depth was very thin. He'll help Wheatly - fills a need at Safety. How can you be upset. Overall, Dan Morgan picked Dan Morgan type of players. I know there are going to be several arm chair GMs that will nitpick this draft but IMO it is another solid draft class.
  9. Addressing OL depth with the 2nd rated center in the draft is pretty damn good. I would assume he'll get some time at guard too. This is probably the most unsexy draft we have ever had but damn it addresses a lot of needs.
  10. How can you pass on a player that answers you like that. I love it.
  11. Kelvin Benjamin was a talent. It wasn't talent that failed him. It was his appetite. How does he remind you of these former players? I'm not arguing, I'm trying to figure out your logic. So because he's a tall WR, he automatically fits your criteria?
  12. Why not? You make a point about so many 6'4" / 6'5" being a bust in the NFL but can only name one. I know of several but for every failure there are more than one success.
  13. And you can be 100% that they addressed the quote/unquote character issues.
  14. Fast and big but my favorite part is, so they say, he's a great route runner. Nice video terrible audio. Why can't people make a decent video without some garbage audio track.
  15. I am sure we addressed this with him before we put him on our board.
  16. I guess everyone is forgetting Coker. This guy is #3 at best. Great pick and another target for BY but I think we could have addressed another area of need. As always I am 100% behind Morgan.
  17. There now the WR desperate fans can relax Brazzell. 6'4". We have a midget throwing to Giants.
  18. McAfee is the man. His first round show was by far better than the ESPN coverage.
  19. Based on who's board. Yours? You realize our GM actually played football at an extremely high level. The man's numbers say he's a stud.
  20. 1st or 2nd since 2023 in some pretty important stats. 146 Tackles (1st) 38 TFL’s/No Gain (1st) 81 Run Stops (1st) 75 QB Pressures (2nd)
  21. I'm not implying we are there yet but our best defenses have always included a stud D-line.
  22. I'm sorry but you don't use a first round pick on a WR3. Talk about a player not playing that much. We also have Treymayne and Horn Jr. Who will have a year under their belt. It was the right pick. Not a glamorous pick but the right one. We'll just have to agree on NAVY FOOTBALL.
  23. You know we all love our HOFer Luke Kuechly. Ever since he endorsed Rodriguez I've been 1000000% on board with selecting him. I did several simulators (which mean absolutely nothing) and everyone of them Rodriguez was gone by 45. If we could somehow use our extra 5th and move up a couple of spots to get him. I'd be happy.
