  1. That pass interference coming down the stretch. Mike T. just said they had been going at it all night. Kelce gets away with bullying and pushing off DBs and gets away with it. The refs should have let that go. It wasn't blatant. Mahomes is Goodell's love child and wants him in the Super Bowl. Gatta pull a string or two to make that happen. EVERY SINGLE GAME, KC gets a break from refs going down the stretch.
  2. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA And we want to tank for a QB in this upcoming draft. NONE of them can carry Herbert's jockstrap. OH the irony.
  3. This is a terrible list. Maybe we should just require the defense not to rush the QB for 3 seconds too. I sure hope it is sarcasm.
  4. It's the Perennial fantasy football league mentality. As soon as you are out of contention you start trading all your players away for draft picks next year. Only to have another losing season. Rinse and Repeat. I can't and never will rout for a loss. If we lose, so be it but I want us to fight until the end. The players will do the same. It's a loser's mentality to want to tank every season. It's been that way for the past 3+ years. Maybe we should just IR everyone and let our PS guys play next year so we have a shot at Maye.
  5. Hate to break it to you. There isn't a Franchise QB in this draft. Some could but I don't see a Mahomes or Herbert in this draft. More Mac Jones and Justin Fields. MR. AVERAGE
  6. Did you watch the game. This defense shut down one of the most potent teams in the NFL and if it weren't for some late turnovers we could have at least tied. The defense was the best I've seen this year. It's sad our offense couldn't take advantage of our defensive Brillance.
  7. It is so sad that we wasted such a great performance by the defense. Baltimore is a potent offense and we held them to 3 points for most of the game. Thanks Shi and Mayfield. Mayfield looked like he was standing on hot coals.
  8. I am not sure if he is totally involved with play calling now. I really think his input is primarily during the game planning stage and in game/halftime adjustments. After these inputs I believe he leaves the playcalling to the OC. I wouldn't think there would be much of a change with a new OC. An innovative OC is my desire. Someone that uses misdirection, rollouts, double moves, TEs and of course a solid running game. Outside of Chudzinski, I feel we always seem to have a conservative OC. Those types of OC are pretty easy to game plan against. This is where I feel McAdoo sits.
  9. I'm still tossed on whether Wilks in the answer, however, being a head coach is getting the most out of your coordinators and players. Someone who can motivate and get players to play to their full potential. Wilks has shown he can do this. Wilks in a motivator and the players are buying into his leadership. I get everyone wants a young offensive minded head coach. I wouldn't mind one either. That said, a young offensive minded head coach may not be a good motivator. He may know his Xs and Os but can he get the most out of the team offensively and defensively. I get that many of you don't want a repeat of Rivera and Fox. Fox did very well when he had Dan Henning as his coordinator. McDermott is doing great in Buffalo, Salah is doing well with the NYJ. Many want Demarco Ryans in Buffalo What I do want to see from Wilks is a solid effort against someone other than a weak NFCS team. The Rams blew us out, as well as Cincinnati. The only games we've been in were against TB and 2x Atlanta. Show me you have a game plan to stop a good Baltimore team. Our remaining Schedule and I know the Tankers will have a fit but this is what I think Wilks needs to show that he can win in this league as a head coach. Baltimore - I would like to see a competitive game. I would love to see a win but at minimum we need to be in this game going into the 4th Quarter Denver - traded away a bunch of picks for Wilson and it looks like his magic is gone. We are at home and Wilks needs to show we need to protect our turf. Seattle - After a bye, this will be a telling game for Wilks. He'll have 2 weeks to prepare, and this team needs to show they can dance with a good team. Pittsburgh - At home again and the Steelers are beatable. As with Denver we need to win at home. Detroit - They have a terrible defense but a potent offense. At home gotta win this. Tampa and New Orleans. We beat both of them early in the season. Wilks needs to show this team has improved over the course of the season and win on the road. IMO, as long as we don't get blown out and go 5-2. He needs to win all three of our home games, he might have a chance. If we are blown out, in any game, like Cincinatti or go less than 5-2, I think he loses his chance for 2023.
  10. Of course. That is why we need to trust the evaluators and stop listening to those that talk some of these guys up.
  11. I am not going to jump on the bandwagon because of this article. However, we should listen to those that have been evaluating players more than those sitting behind a monitor showing us all his outstanding video clips.
  12. I have more faith in what guys like this say than what many talking heads say. When I watched Levis against Tennessee I watched typical QB moves not thinking as a scout. The stress never crossed my mind. I will listen to more about the others as the season ends and evaluation of these QBs really gets deep.
  13. I think it is a good head coach. Using the Panthers as our team. This team is not void of talent. We have a lot of pieces on the team. A good head coach is going to want to build from this group make a name for themselves. McDermott went to a mess in Buffalo and has build a powerhouse. He's made a name for himself as one of the best HC in this league. I good coach will want this challenge.
  14. Drafting a HOF DE over 2 QBs that bombed in the NFL is a loser's mentality. WOW Carr and Harrington were rated higher than any of the QBs in the upcoming draft. Carr was the first pick ever for Houston and they gave him an offensive line, for several years, that was worse than our last season. Over his span of being the QB in Houston he was sacked more than any QB in the league. Harrington was a can't miss out of Oregon. He never panned out. 2002 we needed a QB yet we passed on Harrington and went with JP. JP was a freak of an Athlete and was the best player in the draft. Had we taken Harrington, the 2003 Cardiac Cats never exist. When it comes to evaluating players, you have to cut through the hype and decide on whether that player is going to be the man. In 2002 we drafted the right player. Drafted what turned out to be a HOF DE. After an improved 2002 our 2nd year GM, Marty Hurney, took a chance on a former UDFA Jake Delhomme and the Panthers went to the Super Bowl. Finding a QB is important, but it isn't always in the First Round. I'm not saying that we should or shouldn't draft a QB in round one. What I am saying is that we need to make the smart move and not what everyone thinks we should do. Most of the times, we get it right. It's going to be hilarious when we draft someone else or trade down. I can't wait for the epic meltdown.
  15. What gets me is that this class isn't backing up the hype it had at the end of last season. Stroud and Young were supposed to be "Franchise QBs". From what I've seen, and I'm not a scout, these guys may or may not have lengthy careers. They could become superstars or they could be career back ups but the main point nothing is clear about them, like the Mannings' were. What I have noticed is there are several QBs that may fall to the 2nd round that have the potential to be something special. Someone brought up Penix the other day, the transfer QB from Indiania. I noticed him last year and thought he was going to be an interesting prospect. I haven't seen Richardson play much but many say he's got elite tools. Mainly, we need to get through the hype and thoroughly vet these guys. I could care less if the media thinks we got it wrong. IF and BIG IF, we draft a QB, I want talent, not a NAME.
  16. Definitely not against resigning him but, I wonder if he'll be expendable with Mays as our future center. You try to build from within and use Veterans to fill the gaps. Either way is OK with me.
  17. Facts? The only fact you got half right was he was drafted in the 3rd round. Fact 1. We knew of his injury and still drafted him Fact 2. His injury in preseason game 2 was a freak accident. It's not like it wouldn't have happened to any QB in that situation. A situation the Rhule put him in with a bunch of scrub linemen that are Wal-Mart store greeters now. A situation where he received miniscule Reps in preseason. Fact 3. You have no idea what a new coaching staff will want. But as i stated before. You're talking out of your ass instead of your brain. You can't even accept that he'll compete for the position if we do decide to draft a QB which isn't 100% guaranteed we will. I am done with you and your trolling attitude. You could care less about the Panthers. That's obvious by your profile name. You've probably never even been to a game, any professional sports game, well outside of an Aussie Rules game. You're a Troll that argues everything. Enjoy your pessimistic lifestyle. CIAO
  18. I don't have blinders on for him. I just don't believe he's yesterday's newspaper because he didn't get a good opportunity in camp. You're ready to jettison him based on your overwhelming desire to have a shiny new QB that isn't elite. Just to say you have one. If anyone has blinders on, it's you. You WILL NOT nor CANNOT accept the fact that Corral, given the opportunity, could be our QB. You just want your shiny new toy. And without a LT it doesn't matter who is under center you're going to have a problem under center. His grade fell mostly due to non-football related stories that were so overblown. Fortunately for us, he dropped. Many teams may have wanted him, and we wanted him bad enough to trade a 3rd round pick to get him.
  19. I worked in Supply and Duct Tape was a NEVER OUT item.
  20. Come on, dude. You make a statement. Back it up. Show me ONE team that says Corral is a 3rd QB. You're nothing more than a Troll arguing every topic.
  21. Show me one team in the NFL that says this. You're talking out of the wrong orifice.
  22. Ron is a good coach but he's too damn loyal to veterans and people he's known for several years. I agree, Hurney will keep Ron from succeeding. Say what you will about Ron but he has a great defense. Plus, if I were him, I keep Heinke at QB. Heinke has that fire we used to see in Jake.
  23. The only thing about sitting out a couple of years is you become an afterthought. Then if he gets back into coaching it's probably a Temple type of program. It's better for him to get back into coaching now, to Dave Tepper's delight, while he's a hot commodity. Nebraska used to be a powerhouse. I'm sure they'd love nothing more than for Rhule to turn their program around like he did Temple and Baylor. Plus Snow ain't getting any younger
  24. Two things about Kiffin. One he's been in the NFL before so there is less of a repeat of Rhule with him. Secondly, Kiffin knows Corral inside and out and we'd be able to draft a different position and just bring in a veteran like Minshew until Corral is ready to start.
  25. When he is on, he's one of the best but when he's off he's on the hotseat.
