  1. The game plan for this weekends game should fit us perfectly. I watched the Steeler/Raven game and Pittsburgh could not stop the run at all. Baltimore ran all over them and I think we are a better running team than Baltimore. Thanks to our 7 and 8 linemen on the field. Hopefully, we'll take advantage of this and Darnold manages the game well. Making enough throws to take advantage of the 8 or 9 man box. Go Panthers
  2. That is why I would love to have Washington. He fits the ground and pound offense greatly but has some nice hands and God knows we could use a 6'7" TE in the Red Zone.
  3. That was the funniest part of the video. Grabbing another player's helmet and bashing himself in the head. I didn't notice who the player was the 2nd time he did it, but he had a look on his face like WTF was that.
  4. We have some really talented players and our line looks a million times better than last year. What I am surprised to see is no one has mentioned Campen. I don't think it is a coincidence that our line looks so good just because of the players. Campen has done a hellava job getting this line into shape.
  5. I am onboard with not giving him some outrageous deal, but I also don't want to lose him. Bruiser RBs aren't a dime a dozen. He's tough to take down on first hit and good for this style of offense. I wouldn't break the bank but, I'd try my best to resign him to a team friendly deal.
  6. This goes back to the end of 2021. The frustration of the decision to allow the Rhule fiasco to continue another year, watching the poor treatment of Corral and the fake competition between Mayfield and Darnold. Watching the season start and we looked so inept. It was so hard to watch. We finally go from frustration to relief that at least we got rid of Rhule and hopefully play well enough to show some life. Wilks gets this team believing that we have what it takes to win. Now I can't wait for Sunday to come. I am excited to see how we play and push for the playoffs. While the chance that we end 5-12 we also have the chance to finish 9-8 or 8-9. It's exciting.
  7. You can say the same about a defense. Wilks has a great defensive mind. I like his style and the way we play. If we have a good offensive coordinator there is always someone that is working with him who can keep that style going. IMO it is choose your poison. You are going to lose coordinators if you have a successful team. The hope is that protégés are in the organization that can continue that success you have on either side of the ball.
  8. I would like to see Wilks remain as OC and would be OK with Reich as the offensive coordinator. If we are going outside for a head coach my choice would be Shane Steichen.
  9. Where is it written that because you are a defensive minded head coach that you can't score points? How many winning HCs don't have a good OC. Look at all the winning Head Coaches and you'll see that the majority, if not all, have a good OC.
  10. Until we are officially eliminated I am all for the playoff push. The heck with our draft position.
  11. I honestly don't know why they have that rule anyhow. It isn't like he's going to swing it at someone.
  12. I agree this is our toughest test. Tampa has Cincinnati next weekend. That will most likely be their last loss before playing us. I don't see them losing to Arizona prior to our game. They play Atlanta while we play NO the last week. Atlanta could sneak in there too but they have a tough test. They have @New Orleans, @Baltimore, Arizona and Tampa.
  13. We have to keep even with TB until we play them. TB has Cincinnati at home next followed by Cardinals in Arizona. If we split with Pittsburgh and Detroit, we are in position to win the South. If we can go into TB and beat them, we own the tiebreaker since we beat them in Carolina. The most intriguing game will be the New Orleans game. They most certainly will want to spoil our season and knock us out of the playoffs. If we were to run the table, we would meet some of the preseason predictions of 9-8. IMO the most difficult game will be Detroit because they have a very potent offense. Goff is looking very good in that system. Mostly, I will enjoy watching the tankers heads explode because we keep winning. Ruining their dream of drafting Young or Stroud.
  14. I don't disagree with getting a new OC. I think we need some more reliable weapons other than Moore. You have to be able to throw the ball in this league. That said what is best defense against a high-powered offense is running the ball and keeping them off the field. Get an offensive coordinator that likes to run the ball but has a good passing game to compliment that running game. .
  15. Considering we were absolutely trash when Wilks took over. He would have to be at least considered.
  16. Here's an idea for all of you that want a top 3 pick. Houston needs some fans. I am sure you can join their bandwagon and you can have your top pick.
  17. I like him too, I think it is more a matter of money. I don't want to get stuck with some insane contract for a limited WR.
  18. Madden belongs on your TV not on your football team. I don't play the game, but I've watched it several times.
  19. I completely agree. While it is great that you can run the ball and control the clock. You have to put the ball in the air to keep teams honest. Sooner or later your QB has to make some plays. Darnold did yesterday. @Catsfan69 Find it odd you would poo this. While it may not be your opinion it is a pretty good opinion. Other than that, I gotta believe you have some childish beef with Varking and you just poo to poo.
  20. I am hoping for a win. As long as we can run the ball we should win. The key will be keeping Darnold from having to win the game. If they focus on the run and make Darnold win the game, it could be a long day. I believe the running game gets going and we win a tight game. 24-20 Big Black Cats.
  21. Snow isn't a bad DC especially for college. If I were Nebraska I'd be asking why Snow isn't coming. Rhule better find him a DC ASAP or he might be coaching HS football soon.
  22. Tell me again, why we didn't draft Brock Purdy
  23. I keep going back to Jake but Jake wasn't the most talented QB in the NFL but he was a winner. (A lot of fun to watch as well). You can teach skills but you can't teach that pressure of a GWD. You have it or you don't. Whatever round we draft in I hope we find that QB with balls of steel that can handle the pressure of a GWD. BTW, I am shocked that Rodgers is below 30% GWD.
  24. I think it is because of the upcoming game but I saw the highlights of that game on Youtube yesterday. That was a brutal game for us. I remember watching it live and nearly flew out of my seat when Olsen was so wide open in the end zone.
