  1. If we could pick him up for a low round draft pick I would be onboard with signing him. I think given the proper weapons he could thrive in our offense. Not saying he's my #1 choice but if it meant starting TB5 or signing Minshew. I'd rather sign Minshew. My priority list. Trade for Watson Trade up for Wilson/Fields Trade a lower round pick for Tribisky or Minshew Whatever is necessary to keep TB5 from under center in 2021.
  2. I didn't want either team to win going into the game but once I started watching I was pulling for Tampa Bay. Just something about how all the media was talking about how great Mahomes is and all he had to do to get the GOAT was to beat Brady. Tampa outplayed KC. You can be all whiny and bitchy or just accept it. Tampa Bay had a great offensive and defensive game plan and KC scored FG while TB scored TDs.
  3. What a double edge sword. I don't want to see Brady or the Bucs win because I would gag knowing they'll be in here in bunches bragging about how they got two SB to our none. Don't want KC because I think their arrogant and I just don't care for anyone to win back to back. All I care about is the numbers on my board. Hopefully the best thing that comes out of this game is I win money.
  4. Depends if Miami took one of those QBs. If they took one Tua's stock drops. What I would do is offer 8 and a 2nd and take Tua and 18.
  5. I get that dumping TB contract would help us greatly but most teams have seen our films. They know TB is limited in what he can do. Especially with the game on the line. Why would anyone really want him. Brady really screwed us by falling in love with a backup QB that play where he was an assistant. I like the offense but Brady really F'd us. I cannot see anyone taking TB off our hands without having to give up more. Kind of like what LAR did with Goff. They had to give up picks as well as a huge contract.
  6. Not at all. My favorite NCAA teams are ECU, UNC and OSU. ECU because I went there a long time ago. UNC because my brother walked on and played against LT and OSU because my best friend was an OSU fan and OSU has always been a national contender.
  7. I cannot think of one player to ever play the game that was MORE intense than SS. I was at the 2005 game against Minnesota where Fred Smoots said he was going to shut Smitty down. It was not as he thought. I believe Smitty had 2 TD and 199 yds and Smoots was ruined as a DB after that. I can watch his highlight reels over and over. Love watching him going up as a 5'9" receiver and out jumping multiple defenders. I miss watching him play. And sadly I watch him tear us a new A-hole when we played Baltimore. I can see why Culley never brought it up.
  8. I've been a member for a long time. If not the very beginning very close. There have been some great posters that no longer post and there were many tools as well. I've enjoyed coming here for the ups and downs of many seasons and off seasons. Billions of opinions and nearly every one of them were wrong. LOL.
  9. I've read a couple of places where he really increased his stock from a day 3 to day 2. I love that he can play multiple positions. This was a very good article though. I will be watching to see how many of these guys end up Panthers.
  10. This may be true. I'm not a fan of Jimmy G but if we could get an extra pick out of it we might be in better shape to make a deal. We draft our future starter and have that extra pick to build an O-line.
  11. Say we trade for him and take his rookie contract. Can we select to use the option. He is a 1st round pick. I'm not sure if the option year is still available if he is traded. That's why I said 2 years. But if not your right 1 year rental. That said I probably wouldn't cough up more than a 3rd.
  12. After Lawrence any of these QBs could be better than or worse than Tua and Darnold. Both are on rookie contracts so moving them would be pretty easy. I know Tua looked bad but he also has some pretty decent games. I think he should have spent the season behind Fitzpatrick.
  13. Both teams have indicated that they like their current QB position. I could see where you think Darnold is replaceable but I don't get the Tua comment. He was a rookie and made a lot of rookie mistakes. Because he didn't light it up like Hebert did doesn't mean he's done growing. I'd take Tua off their hands. I think he would be nice in our offense but I think they stick with him and are using the "we're going to draft a QB" as a way to get a team to trade up with them and get more picks.
  14. I think this years draft may see the most 1st round trades in a long time.
  15. This is not as unlikely as many may think. I would love our options if it does pan out like this. How would you feel if after Jacksonville takes Lawrence. The Jets do not take a QB and stick with Darnold (which has been mentioned in the press) Miami passes on a QB too and stick with Tua. Same thing here many have said they will stick with Tua Atlanta will take Fields or Wilson Cincinnati take Sewell Philly passes on a QB Lions have Goff That leave Fields or Wilson, and Lance.
  16. I think it's funny that everyone on this board has their favorite and everyone else is hot garbage. Darnold is not that bad. I think he has been put in the worst possible situation for a young QB. He may not be the best option but he should be considered and option. What i think is favorable is that his cost will not be too high. I don't think anyone is going to offer a 1st for him. Most believe the Jets are taking a QB with the 2nd pick and will move on from Darnold. The Jets need to move him or lose him in FA in a couple of years without compensation. Now is the time to get premium value out of him. 2nd is probably as high as anyone will go. Like I said in another post. Trade our 2nd to NYJ, trade back at 8 and pick later in round 1 and pick up the 2nd we lost. He's probably the best option where we can retain most of our draft capital.
  17. If NYJ are going to draft a QB, which most mocks say they are, Sam is still on his rookie contract. Trade a 2nd round pick for him. Trade back at 8 and take a late first and regain a 2nd and draft an O-line.
  18. Not bad. Too bad they didn't have more of Chinn, Moore, YGM, Brown and other budding stars. Burns is a beast and CMC is too. Anderson isn't really long term and Moore had more exciting highlights. Thanks for posting because anything is better than nothing but we have so many more young players that this only shows 2 or 3.
  19. Where was it said how we rated on his list. It is hindsight but no where have I seen that we were on any less desirable list. Honestly, it sounds more like sour grapes than anything. How about we just didn't have a good enough deal than "he didn't want to come here"
  20. Too many of you are spoiled on the super mobile QB that takes off and scrambles. I'm not saying it wouldn't be nice to have one but pocket awareness is as important as being able to scramble. I don't think we need a QB that will have set running plays to alter a defensive game plan. We have multiple weapons to make a defense worry. We need a QB that is calm under pressure and can make plays with his arm. I like Wilson out of all the QBs that might be available to us but also think the Jones will be apart of the discussion when our turn comes to pick. Whether we trade down to get him or take him outright at #8. If we don't draft him and he ends up being a star (which I believe he will) this forum will have a meltdown and most of the whiners will be the ones that said HELL NO to Jones. I have my opinions and hopes for a QB. I am going to let the guys that get paid to do this make the decision and hopefully it is the right one. Watson, Wilson, Lance or even Jones.
  21. YGM and Jackson along with 2 1st and 2 2nd round picks. I would try to give them 2022, 2023 second round picks so we have some draft capital in 2021. No way to we include Burns or Brown. That's like giving them 3 first rounders.
  22. The biggest difference between Rhule and Rivera is that Rhule is going to put the best player on the field regardless of status (Vet or Rookie)
  23. ECU has had some success in NFL Players. Earnest Byner, Terry Long, Jeff Blake, Robert Jones and Livell Joseph. Who knows maybe he becomes the next ECU player to make it.
  24. Daniel Jeremiah off NFL.com That QB Jones keeps coming up. I would not be surprised to see New England grab him when they pick. Mid-rounders who might interest us. Robert Hainsey, OL, Notre Dame Quinn Meinerz, interior O-lineman, Wisconsin-Whitewater. D'Ante Smith, OT, East Carolina https://www.nfl.com/news/2021-senior-bowl-daniel-jeremiah-s-top-10-nfl-draft-winners-from-week-of-practic
