  1. Wow!!! This makes me think that Denver could not find a trade partner to move up. So we are back to 3 6th round picks.
  2. That wasn't ribbing it was meant to say they don't like the post. I see no sarcasm in their response. Only two of them even replied. But that's the funniest thing I have heard all month. We have about a million duplicate threads on Fields, Darnold, Pitts, Slater and Sewell. Just to get started. The guy is a rookie and had an opinion. Like they always say if you don't want to discuss something previously post. DON'T CLICK
  3. While I agree that Pitts won't be there at 8. IF he was there it would be hard to pass on because as the OP stated he would be a matchup nightmare. What really bothers me about this post is that 6 of you poo'd the post. It was a valid opinion and whether you like it or not it doesn't warrant a poo. Grow-up and respect others opinions.
  4. I'm not buying it. If Tepper wanted to make sure he got his QB he would have traded up to the 3rd pick (outbid SF) and ensured he got the best of the three remaining. Tepper hasn't been outspoken about what he wants and I can't see how Breer got the inside scoop. Click Bait if you ask me.
  5. It's not so much the pick but the analysis after the pick. Usually they gush over every pick but when it comes to our pick they go to commercial. Next thing you'll see DENVER PICK IS IN and than they start gushing over Denver's pick. Happens every year.
  6. Agreed. If they want a QB we better get at minimum #15 and Next's years 1st.
  7. I believe in Fitterer's initial presser he said we would focus on fixing the offense. I predict 5 of 7 are offensive.
  8. You never know how that chip on a shoulder will affect a player. In Steve Smith case that chip put him in the Hall of Fame. (I'm betting first ballot) What a great article. I don't know how many times I have watch that video but still get excited watching it. Probably the greatest moment in Carolina Panther history.
  9. Don't want to put a percentage on it because too many teams may move up to get him. I've seen where Cincinnati has a good LT that they drafted in 2019. According to the article he wasn't the problem on their O-line. In fact he was the best player on their O-line. I think they choose between Pitts or Chase. Then he has to get past Miami and Detroit but the possibility is there. I haven't been on the Dolphins or Lions board so I am not sure what their priority is. If he makes it or dilemma is trade down or take Sewell.
  10. Watch the Jets screw up the whole thing by taking Fields. SF gets Wilson and they'll dominate the NFC West and probably the entire NFC with that defense. Jones or Lance falls to 8 and we trade down.
  11. Belichek is notorious for winning on all trades. If we somehow get #15 next years first and a 2021 3rd I think that would be a win for us. I say NE because Fitterer has already said that they have 16 players with 1st round grades, dropping below 15 gives us a possibility of drafting a 2nd round grade in the first. Not Ideal.
  12. BTW if we trade down I believe it will be with NE. They'll take Lance and have him learn behind Cam. Cam can help him learn the RPO. They'll use Cam's talent to try and get Lance similar. The one thing about NE is Belichek is a shrewd negotiator and squeezing their 1st next year will be difficult.
  13. Here's how I see this draft going. I'm no expert but I will give a small reason on the non obvious choices. 1. Lawrence 2. Wilson 3. Jones (Maybe Lance as he plays behind Jimmy G for a season) 4. Pitts (Between him and Chase) Pitts may be moved or used as a WR more than a TE but IMO he's a generational talent. 5. Chase (I say Chase because I recently read where the current LT was drafted in 2019 and he wasn't the problem for their line. The article I read said he was the best one they had on the team. Plus Burrow would have a familiar face to throw to. 6. Miami trades out with Denver and they Choose Fields 7. Detroit I think this is where the first Defensive player comes off the board Surtain or Parsons. I've seen some mocks that have them taking Parsons 8. Carolina Sewell. He has been compared to some of the best LTs to play the game. We'll receive plenty of offers to move down but to add a player that can help with Darnold's comeback. I don't see how we pass. If we do trade down I would hope it includes a first next year and we end up with Darrisaw.
  14. What else do we get in return. It's simple to suggest a trade but these rarely say what the trading team receives besides the first round pick.

  16. Classic.... He is absolutely right. Kiper barely gets the first pick right.
  17. Getting Hayward and Ball back will give this team some depth and with the way they move the ball around they could be dangerous. They way they run is so much fun to watch. Puts the defense on their heels and gives us a lot of open shots. I work in Kuwait and was able to watch this game live. (Normally if the Hornets are on it is usually the next day on tape delay. So this was exciting for me to watch them live.
  18. Assuming we don't move down. I think 5 of the 7 picks will be offense. Mostly O-Line
  19. I don't think so. I think they fully plan on exercising his option. I just think this is a calculated comment to keep teams interested in the draft pick if one of these QBs falls to 8.
  20. Rhule said many times that he wanted to coach at the top level. This is his dream job. I think too many of you are over analyzing him. This is his first real offseason where traveling and interviews (much better than Covid 2020). Just like rookies in their initial season it takes some getting used to.
  21. Our options started with Stafford. We were in contention and IMO Detroit made the worng choice because Goff is no better than TB. Goff isn't the savior in Detroit and many of those fans would have rather had TB even though he clearly isn't the answer. Stafford has been around awhile and will start to decline soon. So we would be looking to address QB later. Next came Watson who was going to cost us a kings ransom to obtain. Many on this board were onboard with giving up so much for him (including myself) That fell through because of his legal issues. Another option was trading up to get in the top 3. Lawrence and Wilson are going to the teams slotted in their original order. You may have been able to pry the #2 out of the NYJ but the cost would have been extreme. The Jets did the right thing by waiting until after Wilson's pro day. So he's slotted at #2. SF is going to take a QB (Jones or Fields) This is a gamble on both players because each have their question marks. Many marvel at Fields athleticism but he has his question marks. Atlanta IMO is staying put and will take either Pitts or Fields (if SF takes Jones). Cincy will stay put and grab either Chase or Sewell. Miami and Detroit may trade down depending which QBs are left. My point is IMO all 5 QBs are going to be gone by pick 8 unless we trade up and give up our 1st next year. That option seems too costly for a player that has as many question marks as Darnold has. Option D as many say. Trade for Darnold. You could also make the case that this was our second option after Stafford as we were inquiring about Darnold months ago. Is he a sure thing? No but he didn't cost nearly as what we would have had to give up for any of the remaining QBs and we would still have the same concerns. I think what gets me is that the pessimistic folks on this forum about Darnold are not pessimistic about Fields, Lance and Jones (three remaining QBs that might be available at pick 8. They say he sucked in NYJ and therefore going to suck here, but don't think there aren't any concerns with Fields, Lance or Jones.
  22. Is that you Adam Gaze? It's funny that they don't identify who this genius Offensive Coach is. He is a minority. Most believe that given a good organization he'll be better.
  23. I think we put ourselves in a good situation by trading for Darnold. There is going to be a ton of action and trading for those QBs. I will be surprised if any of the top 5 QBs will be there. If one falls to 8 we have the opportunity to trade down and still get a quality LT and have other picks as well as a future 1st. Had we not traded for Darnold we would be looking at having to trade up to get one of those QBs which would entail us losing draft capital this year and next.
  24. Yes our draft history in the second round hasn't been stellar but this is a whole new regime and comparing their choices to the past is unfair. YGM and Chinn seem to be good picks for Rhule in his first year. Let's see how Fitterer does over the next couple of years before we evaluate his 2nd round picks.
