I've never heard an announcer mess up this many of our names. He even called Mitch Darnold.

Foreman doesn't have any kind of rare ability as a RB, and sometimes he misses wide open holes. He is a nice blend of strength and speed, but so are a great many of the RBs in the later round of the upcoming draft. Many RBs similar or better than Foreman will be floating around in free agency as well. Resigning Foreman comes down to what kind of money he wants. Will he play for vet minimum or a little more? Ok fine. Does he want a long term contract with 7 figure years, then hell no. No way should he get that kind of money. If it were me I would get rid of all our RBs and start over with new vets and or draft picks. Let's see if we can find a hidden gem, and make sure we keep our RBs young, fresh, and cheap. Our blueprint should be to cycle through RBs quickly in order to save money. There are a great many RBs who would run very well behind our o-line, so we don't need a superstar. Just go get a jag who is decent at everything and don't resign him unless he'll take a cheap deal. On our team I want young and cheap RBs and LBs. They get beaten to hell and they don't have rare body types, so you can cycle through them and easily and always find replacements. The people you pay the big money and lock up long term are rare body types with rare talent. Find a guy who is 6'6 and 300 plus pounds and can pass block pro DEs is very rare so lock them up. A guy like Foreman is not rare at all by comparison.

We have already selected a later round QB in Corral, and I don't want to try and develop two QBs at the same time. Focus on Corral for now so he gets the reps, and let him have his shot next season as the starter, with Sam or whomever as the vet backup. Corral has already been learning this season, and it's time to roll next season. If he flops, then that is more ammo to get rid of Fitt for another lost season. If he plays we'll, then we didn't need to spend that 2023 later round QB pick, and Fitt was right about Corral. If Fitt was wrong about Corral, then what would make anyone think Fitt will be right about another later round QB selection? These picks are extremely valuable and we already spent one on Corral. Gong into free agency looking for a QB who will play for a prove it deal is much cheaper. The Mayfield move was actually a good idea because we're not on the hook for anything. Yes he pooped the bed, but we're not harmed by it going into next season. No harm in handing out another $5 million one year deal to a prove it vet. Just DON'T start extending QBs for $18 million that have not played a snap for us, and have proven NOTHING. That is poop brain Fitt's type of thinking.

We already drafted Corral. We start Corral next season and Sam can be the backup if he wants to stay here fro backup money. If Corral is trash, then you have to look at getting rid of FItt, but I already want him gone. You can't find a good QB as GM then you need to be fired. Simple as that. We could also look to free agency to try and find a QB who just needs a fresh start in a new environment, but who would trust Fitt to make that choice? Well we have no choice but to roll with whomever he selects for now.

That was a weird play it almost seemed like a fan blew a whistle or something.

Burns jumped offsides several times desperately trying to get a garbage time sack. Burns was completely shut down the whole game unless I missed something early in the first. I wish we had traded him, but that's water under the bridge. Should we bench Burns for jumping the count to boost his stats for contract negotiations with another garbage time sack? Obviously not, but he should get a lecture for going before the snap to try and sneak past the ref when we didn't need it. He needed it, but the team didn't. He was seeing dollar signs no doubt.

Our weakness is our passing game. That's fine when you play teams that have the same weakness, so it becomes who can control the los. But when we play a team that can throw it well, like the Bengals, then what do we do when they move the ball easily and get a lead? Wait for Burns to get a garbage time sack? Watch Forman run for 2 yards? Not enough. We can't beat the top passing teams unless lady luck gifts us a perfect game. So what's the plan? The new QB plan has to be put on hold. We may need to roll with Sam and Corral next season, and Sam would have a 1 year prove it deal. That way we are developing a QB, and we have a vet who knows the system and can run the offense, albeit in a limited fashion. Another option is to find a new vet QB and dump Sam. Either way we need to focus on finding a #1 WR and elite pass catching TE in the draft. There is no need to draft a flawed QB later in the draft when we already have a project in the works with Corral. What is needed immediately is a "bailout" type WR or TE, or hopefully both. A tall #1 WR who can win jump balls and threaten a defense deep is needed desperately. DJ Moore is more of a "throw me open" type #2 WR, and asking a game managing QB to throw DJ open when no one is open is too much to ask. It's unreasonable, and any FA QB who comes here is going to have the same problem. So our plan needs to be adjusted. The highly coveted QBs will be off the board by the time we pick, but we MUST juice up our passing offense. This has to happen to save the 2023 from being another lost season. So I am taking a look at:
-
If we're going with Sam next season, or some other marginally talented vet QB, then I'd like a tall #1 WR to add some explosiveness to the passing game. If not, then an NBA player type TE who can be a terror one on one and in the redzone. We need to juice up this passing offense so we don't blown out against teams like the Bengals that can toss it around. On defense another pass rusher would be nice. We're not getting enough pressure against good teams, and anyone can pressure a bad team.
-
We could very well beat the Steelers, DET, TB, and the Saints.
-
We're headed into the easy part of our schedule so no imo.
-
We're out of range for a top QB so no more tanking talk imo
-
And still stinking it up.
-
Burns still stinking it up trying to get garbage time sack.
-
Seattle defense is mad because they are getting bullied.
-
We can put in any RB at this point.
-
Our oline to their dline.
-
That was totally better because Burns moved his mousey ass out of the way and the other guy flushed Geno.
-
Just pitch and catch with no pressure. We need a DE.
-
Burns you've had the game off so it's time for your foundational ass to do something.
-
Keep running!!!!!!!!!
-
Yep. That's been open.
-
No more 1 yard runs Foreman.
-
Totally a catch!
-
Never seen that!
