  1. This almost looks like the two worst passing offense in the history of the NFL
  2. It's mandatory that this game has to played, so let's just get it over with. This is a pointless game that we need to lose, and as a Panthers fan this is the type of game I'm most familiar with.
  3. I appreciate your stat hunting and I assume you have a link for the executives ranking?
  4. I don't recognize you GOAT, but I think you're right about this prediction. I think this is what happens.
  5. Burns is going to want a huge deal. Like a 6 year $120,000,000 contract. The Rams offered a gold mine of draft picks that we desperately need to rebuild this dumpster fire. We need a QB and offensive weapons galore. That takes major draft capital. Burns is not good against the run, and disappears so badly sometimes that its like playing with 10 men on defense. I sat stunned in my chair watching him against the Bucs. He looked like a backup DE in our most critical game of the season, and I knew he'd disappear in that game. The bigger the game, the more he ghosts this team. He's a garbage time sack master. I wanted him traded to the Rams back around the trade deadline. Some of you might remember me going crazy in the trade deadline thread. I still want him traded. It's extremely unlikely that we are close to having a good team, so we're essentially re-entering rebuilding mode. Draft picks are desperately needed for players to mature further toward the end of the rebuilding phase. It's all about timing. If we don't rebuild, then we should expect the same results for many season to come. Holding on to vets who led this team to losing seasons is totally batsh!t. We don't need an undersized DE who has a better disappearing act than Houdini, but we desperately needed those picks. I don't want Fitt as our GM anymore. He's made and missed so many deals that I disagree with that it's turned me against him. Dump him, and clear out all the coaching staff as well. It's not working obviously.
  6. Ian Thomas run blocks like he weighs 150 pounds. Sam and Bozeman need to get in sync when the crowd is loud. They're too used to BOA where it's quiet enough to hear a mouse. Keith Taylor is scary bad. I watch him on most defensive plays worrying he's going to screw up. Yetur Gross-Matos almost always play waaaaay below his draft position. He never looked explosive in college, and he doesn't look explosive in pros either. Imagine that? Brian Burns should have been traded to the Rams like I wanted. He did nothing in the Bucs game. Nothing. He's lord of the cheap garbage time sacks. Worthless. CJ gets hated on more than he deserves. On the play where he got beat deep he had no safety help, and Evans had enough time to slow down, force CJ to slow down, and then hit the afterburners and catch a perfect pass. Poor CJ was in an awful spot and was hung out to dry.
  7. This forum is mostly about knee jerk reactions and Panthers news. It would get pretty boring if fans stopped serving up hot takes in the moment.
  8. Fitt has made several blunders, but there is no way he trades up that far. I would have a stroke. Stroud might end up being like a Geno Smith or a flop, and consider the draft capital lost if he flops. Unacceptable risk imo. Draft a QB at 9 or whatever, or roll with Sam/Corral. I can accept either of those options, but if we move up I'm going to flip out on here worse than the Brian Burns trade debacle.
  9. We got rid of RR because we wanted a more talented HC who could get better results over the long run. I don't think Wilks has more talent than RR, and honestly I think he's the poor man's version of Ron. And even if he's as talented as Ron, do we really want to go down that road again without a Cam Newton for Wilks to rely on? We need to dump Wilks for the same reason we needed to move on from RR. It's 2023. Modern football is about the passing game, potent offense, TD passes, 4th quarter shootouts, and highlight reel plays. Excitement. The winning teams in the long run know how to scheme weapons open, and that's the key to winning. Wilks is not an offensive guru who can step in and make our offense better than what McAdoo has cooked up. Wilks is more of a defensive mind, and even then we'll just get torn apart by the top modern style offenses. The Bengals played pitch and catch with our defense and made it look easy. Wilks can't stop that. He doesn't have the answers. If this were the 90's or early 00's, then fine Wilks would be our guy. It's 2023. McAdoo and Wilks belong in a retirement home by NFL standards. We need to modernize our whole team, starting with the HC.
  10. The worst thing that could have happened W/L wise was winning as many games as possible without making the playoffs. It has almost happened, and if we beat the Saints then the disaster is compete. We don't get the reward of a playoff game, and we won't have a chance to draft the top 2 QB prospects. Not good. What's worse is that we don't have a clear end to this losing on the horizon, or a light at the end of the tunnel. We don't have great coaches. We traded our best player. Our QB is a limited game manager who will never even sniff a SB appearance in his career. The only card we can play is that our o-line can push around weaker teams. Hurray? That just means we're more likely to beat bad teams and ruin our draft position. When the chips are down against good teams, we implode in a way that exposes our coaches and players. Wilks is not the answer, and I couldn't care less if the players love him. We need an offensive guru as our HC, and we need a QB who can win shootouts. I think we're going to find a new HC, and he will restaff the rest of the key coaching positions. In the draft we're likely to take yet another QB to compete with Sam and Corral. The hope will be that either the new QB or Corral will be able to unseat Sam as the starter.
  11. Wilks is out. Tepper is already drooling over offensive gurus. Wilks should be a secondary coach in college.
  12. He can paint his skin blue and join the cast of Avatar for all I care, but he is not staying our HC. That was a joke today.
  13. Brian Burns is a below average pass rusher in important games, and he run blocks like an AARP member. I said trade him at the time he was on the trading block, and Fitt fugged it up.
