The actual video footage of the fight might the lowest quality footage I've ever seen at least in the last 30 years.

We're always going to have a "chick little" section on the huddle that press the panic button way too early. I can't say it's surprising considering the horrors we're been through since Cam's shoulder injury. How many Sunday's have the Panthers ruined with mismanagement? Some people are a little jumpy.

Without knowing the full context I can't really assign blame to anyone. However, the way it looked he threw the ball directly to Luvu, and there was no one near Luvu. Luvu was covering no one, and my impression, which could be wrong, was that Young thought Luvu was a check down target, and he threw it right at him.

The Young interception I think yesterday was really bizarre. He threw it right at Luvu, but there was no offensive player in the area. It was almost like he mistook Luvu for a receiver. Any INTs that a due to being a little off target are fine right now imo. He needs to develop more chemistry with these receivers. But the Luvu pick worried me a bit.

He altered his running form.

There is no way to tell until he starts putting up numbers for us. Having said that, there is no way in hell I would bring in a high priced free agent RB in today's NFL. That money goes elsewhere, for instance in the passing game. Our blueprint is not what I would chose to win in today's NFL, but it's not my problem. Fitt has a plan and if it doesn't work he'll be out of a job, and our Sunday's will suck for 4 hours.

For me the anger won't come from a huge contract. Our blueprint to win is to pay our defensive guys big money and try to save money on offense and spread the ball around. Fine. The anger comes in if this doesn't work. The last time I saw Burns play was against Tampa Bay with the playoffs on the line. Burns was never anywhere near Brady, and that was with him going one on one, and with Brady holding the ball to go deep many times. Of course you can't judge a player on one game, even if it cost us a playoff birth. No anger from me on a mega deal for Burns. I know some of you are fans of certain players and want them to earn a lot of money because you're their fan. That's fine, but I'm not a player fan. I only want the team to do well, and I don't care what kind of money Burns makes, or if he's happy. Just win.

Evero's defense will be fast and aggressive.

Whew! I thought it was going to be slow and passive. -
Bryce Young called a “mental savant”

Week 1 we'll find out. Until then this sounds like puffing to get the fans back in the stadium. -
Are you buying into the media's narrative that we are third tier
pantherj replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
I know more about our roster than the media, so I certainly don't go by predictions from Peter King or whoever. If I thought the media knew what they were talking about, then I'd go to Vegas and go all in on some W/L bets. To me we're headed to about 8 wins, and if we deviate much from that I'll be surprised. Even so, I'd never go bet on that. Sometimes teams under or over perform for logical or illogical reasons. Just the injury bug factor alone should scare people away from thinking they have a good idea of what is going to happen this season. -
Panthers Blueprint Episode 3: Embracing The Future
pantherj replied to Mr Mojo Risin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think Darnold's slow processing ability traumatized Fitt. It was a certainty that the next QB Fitt brought here would be a fast processing guy. -
Tolbert must not like this rumor because it would have been him.

I really thought we were going to take a CB in the draft with Jackson injured, and Horn being well... I'm not going to say injury prone, but what's another word for it that won't upset fans?
-
The number of plays he made in the Tampa Bay game that decided if we went to the playoffs.

Looks like Dalton is suffering from old man noodle arm. I hope he hasn't fully crashed into the wall. Corral is zipping the ball around nicely and on target. In no world is Dalton ahead of Corral if things continue this way.

I think they're taking a wait and see approach to some extent. For instance, right now we're defense first, dink and dunk on offense. This is operating from the expectation that Young will be a game managing QB, so he needs a lot of help with the run game and top quality defense. However, if Young comes out and lights it up, and plays beyond current expectations, then we'll see a quick pivot to offense first, budget defense. Then we'll put the ball in the air and try and be a high scoring potent offense like KC. It comes down to Young. Right now he's seen as our game manager. If he comes out and takes games over and elevates the team, then we switch to targeting elite weapons for him. Depends on what happens.

We should sign Adrian Peterson as a backup

Guys..... I got an idea. -

Yeah Rip Van Winkle not Riptreylance. -
Yeah the reason this is floating around is because Tepper started running off at the mouth at a post draft press conference and basically made it clear that was our plan. I don't know if the Panthers organization wanted him to say all of that, but he's the owner so he can say what he wants. I don't know how accurate or up to date this is, but If you want to look at spending on offense atm: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/positional/offense/

I don't think Hopkins wants to come here. He'd want to go to the Bills imo, but if he showed any interest of coming here I'd be all over it. He'd instantly be our best WR by far. Keep in mind that this years problem area will probably be the passing game. Why not boost it up? Easy choice.

This is just my opinion but I'm seeing trouble on the horizon with the WR corps. Jim may love Mingo, but college level DBs stuck to him like glue. Not good. That means NFL DBs will be all over him as well. I'm not saying Mongo won't be good, but he may need to be thrown open. I think waving off DHop because we have TMJ, Chark, and 32 year old slot receiver Thielen, would seem kind of silly to me. Just my opinion. Obviously go by what the experts are saying. Not trying to invalidate or dismiss what was said on the radio.
