Should we take bets on what confession Frank and Beans will have for us for next Sunday? Will it be: 1.) I didn't get the play in quickly enough. 2.) I didn't know player ______ wasn't on the field. 3.) I forgot we had 3/2/1/0 timeouts. 4.) I was nervous because I left my hobo stick at home and i felt incomplete without it.
-
I thought Frank and Beans was going to confess that he had no idea we had two timeouts with 20 something seconds left, but I didn't watch the whole interview.
-
"To Shenault because they'll never expect that even though every single time he comes into the game we do that...mmmm."
-
Maybe keep that one secret Frank and Beans. At least try to maintain some illusion that you’re on top of things.
-
He honestly looks like he's on his way to being a long term backup QB at the NFL level. However, the jury is still out and we'll have a lot better idea of our fate by the end of this season.

I know this is off topic, but where is Mr. Scott? And yes Young looks like a busted pick atm.

Fitt has stolen whatever passion I had for this Panthers team. I didn't even watch today's game live. Fitt doesn't understand even the most common basic principles of team building and the rebuilding process. Never mind his disastrous multi-season ruining Sam Darnold trade. That is in the past. I'm talking about what he's done recently. 1.) When facing a rebuild that involves bringing in a rookie QB you want to trade your defensive vets. That is because you want an OFFENSE that is already in place so that you can evaluate the new rookie QB quickly. You NEVER want to drop a rookie QB into a bad offense if that can be avoided. So to ensure that the offense is juiced up and ready to go you unload the defensive vets for draft picks. That is critical. The Rams made us an offer, 2 first round picks and a second round pick for Burns. FItt, who is a moron, turned his nose up at that offer. I nearly lost my mind in the trade thread at the time. We should have traded Derrick Brown as well if we could find a fair deal. 2.) If you trade your defensive vets, then you don't have to trade CMC, or DJ Moore. You KEEP offensive weapons for your rookie QB who will DESPERATELY need them. Now Young is CRYING after the games. Yes crying, and he was doing it before in the locker room but it was unseen. This is what happens when your GM doesn't have a clue in @@#$% what he's doing. He doesn't have a damn clue. And this isn't hindsight 20/20, I said at the time this is what we needed to do. Fitt has to go. 3.) Fitt FAILED to sign a #1 WR for his botched pick Bryce Young. So Young doesn't even have a #1 to the throw the ball to, and if you say Chark is the answer then I'm revoking your fan card. We have a 13 point scoring poop offense and defensive players wanting their mega PAYDAY $$$$$$$ on a rookie QB led team! Idiotic! Fitt has to GOOOOOO!

Are we shopping for a GM as well? Add that to the grocery list.

Are the Panthers struggling to sell tickets?!?
pantherj replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Inflation combined with a team that hasn't been good since Cam was injured. Why spend money and a lot of time watching your team struggle for hours and lose? Also these players on offense are boring, and watching Burns get his one sack for the game is not enough. It's just a dull affair overall. I'm happy to watch on tv because I can multitask if things go south. -
Use a lead blocker, get the running game going
pantherj replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
Our o-line isn't a strong as it was last season because our starting guards are injured. This causes problems opening rushing lanes. A lead blocker will cause a traffic jam. The run blocking will improve when Corbett returns and replaces Zavala. -
2/5 of the o-line is injured. Zavala is a rookie who got blown up every snap because he's not strong enough get to deal with a Seattle DT. Mystery solved.

I don't know what our QB coach is telling Young, but I hope he's encouraging him to throw TMJ open. Put the ball placement high and let him go and get it even if he doesn't look open. Dink and dink is for loser teams that score 13 points with zero INTs. We don't need that anymore. No more poindexter football.
-
I feel like if we played Seattle again we'd lose like 5 more players. I don't want them on our schedule anymore and they're so far away it might as well be an out of country flight. Let them play some other team next season.
-
Seattle really beat the hell out of us with that defense, and the field wasn't much help either.
-
I expect a deep sideline throw to TMJ. I don't expect it to be completed. Other than that? Well let's wait and see.

Technically I don't like to think of any game as a must win until the loss would mathematically eliminate us from the playoffs. I look at this game as a good opportunity for Young to gain some much needed confidence in running our offense. I'm hoping we can score 20 something points and get out of this funk where it feels like were always headed to 13 points tops. The average points scored per team in 2022 was 21.6, and a great team like KC averaged 29.2 points. We're averaging 18 ppg, so 0-3, but we held on to our veteran defensive players as per Fitt's plan. Can I explain what Fitt is trying to do? Certainly not.
-
I think this game is like the difference between us winning 3 games or 4. Something like that. All this season really has to offer is a few wins against bad teams. We have no 1st round pick, so I can't go into draft mode. It's all in on win this game or 0-17 is still in play. One of our few little pitiful rewards is possibly beating the poop Vikings. We got here through mismanagement, and we're not getting out this season. Just enjoy whatever you can and hope for the best.
-
First of all I'm all in on pulling for the Panthers to win each game this season. I want us to beat the Vikings and win out. However, this looks like the type of team that will lose to even bad teams like the Vikings early, and then beat a few bad teams late in the season. I see our wins coming against bad teams in the second half of the season. We'll have more of a clear identity by then, and Young will be playing more like a pro QB. Right now Young is playing, and I hate to say this, like he's scared. That should improve but it's going to take time. Young also has been confused by the defenses he's faced, but that too should improve. It's just too soon right now. I see a loss to the Vikings incoming, but if we played them toward the end of the season I think we'd win.

Imagine the turd WR Fitt would draft in the 3rd? Hell his 2022 3rd round pick was Matt Corral. No need to be precious with our 3rd round pick with Fitt at the wheel.
-
Jerry Juedy would never come here, and Fitt is incapable of making good moves. I would take the deal, but there is no way that would ever come up.
-
The injury happened in Nov, and he got the extension in March. I couldn't believe it. Jackson is short and gets outrun on the deep ball regularly, and that was before the Achilles injury. Jackson coming back from the injury at 90% of his former self would be worth barely over the vet minimum, but not to Fitt. Dude is out of his mind. It's like the Sam Darnold 5th year option. Why? Because Fitt envisioned Sam Darnold becoming an expensive franchise QB and he wanted to save money by doing the option before it expired. Anyone with 2 brain cells at the time thought Sam was a proven loser on the field, and a major LONGSHOT prayer to even become average. Not in Fitt's fantasy world. He was saving us big time money in his mind. This team is mismanaged. We don't behave like other teams. We throw money and draft picks away on trash.
