Trade for Watson assuming he has changed his mind and he is willing to come here. Christensen at LT and Moton at RT should be enough for Watson, and I can address the interior of the line later in the draft if needed. Watson would have 4 good weapons to which to throw the ball, and the best RB in the NFL. That, along with our defense, means we would highly likely have a competitive team. At worst, we would still have a couple more wins than 2021. That's improvement. The real problem is that the stadium has been mostly empty with opposing fans outnumbering our fans. That is what's going to get Rhule fired more than anything else. My Watson plan would bring fans back to the stadium because he's the kind of high caliber QB people will pay to watch play (myself included). I'm not paying to watch Sam play, I'm not crazy. If Watson turns his nose up again at our poop franchise, then I'm going for a QB in the draft. Willis throws the ball with the highest velocity and has the strongest arm. That means if he can learn then he's the best prospect out of the lot. The worry is that he's a dope. That falls on the QB coach, OC ect to get him in line and reading the field properly. I pull the trigger on Willis and if he doesn't learn the offense then I fire more offense staff members and plead to Tepper that it takes time for a rookie to come around.

In watching Darnold in his season here I've seen what is the main problem. He often doesn't throw to his first read when they are clearly open. That alone is enough to cause a lot of poor performances. To make matters worse his deep ball is terrible almost always. That's pretty much enough to lock us into 5 - 12ish records so long as he's here.

We passed on Fields, so we'll pass on the QBs in this draft as well. From his comments we're taking a LT imo.

I would place the likelihood of Sam being injured badly next season at high. Our o-line will likely be below average at pass blocking again, and Sam can't read the field. That means we'll be playing from behind, and forced to throw the ball. That will result in Sam taking a lot of big hits, and presto another major injury for Sam. That will bring out the hilarious PJ and his antics, and I think that could get us into the top 5 in the draft.

Look at these pitch and catch pass heavy playoff games. Especially in the 4th quarter when you really need to air it out. That's the NFL now. Your QB should be the best player on your team. Building a mega team around him means you're shooting for the SB or bust. We have no QB, and a bad o-line. Any defense can be exploited, so I'm not concerned about the defense. We could be bad for at least the next 3 seasons with our current plan in place.

Once we are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs next season put in PJ. We need to insure we are as high as possible in the draft to draft the best QB prospect.

When you don't have a franchise QB you WANT to lose and get to the top of the draft. Either that or go get a Tom Brady, otherwise your team isn't doing poop. We have no plan in place. Nothing. Things happen and we just blow in the wind.

QB limbo can last for way longer than 7 years. We can keep it going indefinitely. Just keep winning enough games each season to miss out on the top QB in the drafts. It's easy to win 5 games.

We have fans here who think that going 5-12 is better than 0-17. No it isn't if you have a poop QB. Those 5 wins will all be forgotten, and when the draft rolls around and a Justin Herbert goes in front of us we lose everything. The NFL is a QB pitch and catch contest if you want to win the SB. All that matters is landing a franchise QB. The rest can be built later. Going 0-17 is good if you have a poop QB. That's what you want. You're supposed to lose, not scrape and scrap with a poop QB YEAR AFTER YEAR for possibly a decade. NO.
