  1. If Houston lights us up today then fire the DC and go back to the 4-3. This looks like ass.
  2. Chuba is a 6th round draft pick and not a big RB! You stupid a$$holes.
  3. That was the most Panthers looking flee flicker ever.
  4. Great throw by CJ. Keep in mind that we will be trying to take one deep shot per quarter (please forget about the 1st quarter.)
  5. I wrote an article starting with what's right with our offense. See below.
  6. When Fitt didn't trade Burns it made a strong statement that he values Burns more than 2 firsts and a second. Since that is in fact the case, we're going to be paying Burns a fortune. We're not going to get an offer better than the Rams, and that offer was too low. We can't let Burns walk for nothing, and we will not receive a good enough offer. So we're looking at a massive deal for Burns, but in the meantime Fitt is going to fight with the agent because of the sheer amount of money involved. The writing is on the wall. Burns is going to win this one, and he knew that when we turned down the Rams and Fitt said Burns was the cornerstone of our defense.
  7. Fitt values Burns (astonishingly) as worth MORE than 2 firsts and a second. That offer from the Rams was child's play in Fitt's bonkers brain. So if Fitt trades Burns it had better be a fantastic deal for us. But I fully expect Fitt to sign Burns to the deal he wants or very close to it.
  8. We were spoiled in the past with Hurney draft picks and trades. Now we have Fitt's players and they're not Panthers ring of honor type guys. It's hard to go from Cam, CMC, Olsen, TD, Luke, further back Smitty, to watching a collection of JAGs. It's boring for the most part, and we don't have any kind of identity. We're not ground and pound, we're not a high powered air assault type team, we don't have a dominant defense, don't have anything. We have a "point guard" QB distributing short passes to guys who don't worry any defense. We score a low number of points until garbage time, then our guys pad their stats, and we think of what to say about what went wrong. Add rinse repeat, get the paycheck, and move on to next week. Who cares? Just a game. Oh well. How did this happen? A series of bad decisions were made since Tepper took over the team. The mistakes just piled up one after another, and now here we are bored with the whole situation. We're not even 2 seasons away from being good, it's much worse than that unfortunately. What is the blueprint for building this team. What was the plan 5 years ago, or 4, or 3? See how we're not making any progress toward a specific type of team? We're nothing. The team is non-de-script. What is this? I don't know. We're fussing over keeping a OLB when we have no team. This isn't a team. We have no leaders and no vision for where to go or how to get there. We're in purgatory, or limbo, or some football way station where teams go to be forgotten about and swept aside. Pointless. I'll still watch the games, but I don't see this team winning more than maybe 3 games tops.
  9. Gives us an extra week to prepare our garbage time offense.
  10. If I were GM then we have to build around Young and unload all defensive vets who would be expensive to keep. Trading the defensive vets would net us some draft picks, and or some offensive players. The defense needs to be made up of young players and cheap vets. On offense we can keep things as they are (for now) except TMJ needs to be traded if we can get a decent offer. Otherwise he stays as depth. In the future worthless players on offense will be unloaded, but for now we're stuck due to idiotic brain dead contracts handed out by FItt. I'm not going to take major cap hits AND make things even harder on Young by unloading Fitt's poop on offense. In the off season we're looking for a #1 WR if we can find one for a fair deal. If we can't find one, then we use our draft capital from trading to move up and get a top WR in the 2024 draft assuming one is worthy. The rest of the draft is about replacing defensive players. Also, the money saved from not paying expensive defensive players can be used to go get cheaper defensive vets to plug holes. Then you go into the 2024 season with a better offense, and a worse defense. Young will have a better season as a result, and we can properly evaluate if he's the guy or not. If not, then you have the 2025 first round pick to get a QB. If he's the man, then you rebuild the defense in the 2025 draft. Now you have a 2025 team that can compete.
  11. It doesn't really make sense for Adams. Why would he want to spend the twilight of his career on a trash team with a QB who is still learning the position? Why a guy is on the tail end of his career he's thinking about the SB, and going to teams with experienced QBs. Why would he uproot his whole life to come to the poop Panthers? Why would he want to bring his family to Charlotte? Some extra money and losing? He's already filthy rich. We're trapped right now with a bad team that's probably going 0-17. The time to prepare and trade was before this season started. Fitt made 0-17 type moves, and now we take our medicine. Major changes to this team can be made once this dreadful season comes to a merciful end. Priority one will be obtaining a #1 WR who is not in his 30s, and can be lured with piles of cash.
  12. I might go look at his TD/INT ratio again. I remember it was pretty bad in the past. Remember all those batted down balls? He's just weird.
  13. I was in favor of trading up, but I wanted to trade defensive players for the ammo. Going up to get a QB you think can be a franchise guy is a great idea. I just don't like that the cupboard is bare on offense (we're counting on Chuba) and it didn't have to be this way.
  14. The NFL is a QB starvation league. You either have a top performing QB, or your headed nowhere like the NFCS.
  15. I count that as 2 wins, so we're 7-0 in moral victories.
  16. The scary thing is that being up on Miami early might be this season's biggest highlight.
  17. I think I'm already totally satisfied with the whole season since we scored not one, but TWO TDs early against Miami. I'm going to savor the memory of those TDs for many years to come. No I don't mind that we don't have a 1st round pick and are going to go 0-17. The running game looked good early, so everything is fine. And I know I can rest assured that Bryce is handling these losses like pro, and he is totally not crying alone in the locker room. Good to know that. Yes we're sitting pretty here fans. Cat birds seat.
