  1. We could be good, or we could be nightmare terrible. That's is perfectly reasonable. You could reasonably predict any kind of record and make your case for it. If Darnold is terrible then this team will be a dumpster fire. If any teams QB turns out to be terrible you're looking at a disaster. We have NO idea what Darnold is going to do this season. Unless you've had access to all of our practices you don't know what's coming. Preseason has not told us anything. One play Darnold holds the ball and shuffles his feet for what felt like and hour trying to go deep. Are we getting that Darnold? We'll get destroyed. Other plays he was on time and target with his throws. Are we getting Darnold? Could have a winning season. Who knows. The sample size of what we've seen is too small. The Panthers coaching staff knows what is coming. The rest of us have the privilege of being surprised when the season starts. The defense is good enough to hold it's own if the offense is doing it's part. If the offense is a sackfest of 3 and outs, then it won't matter what we do on defense. It's too hard to stop passes in today's NFL, so our defense will crumble without a good offense. It's all on Darnold if this doesn't work. He weapons all around him, and we will NEVER have a premium o-line, so it's now or hit the bricks.
  2. Wasn't Darnold shuffling his feet a lot and hesitating in the preseason game?
  3. Let me be clear, if I wasn't in other threads, that I want the vaccine to be mandatory for all NFL players, coaches ect. I don't care if the players try to sue if any of them are harmed in any way. In fact, I'd rather cancel this season than have players spread COVID on and off the field.
  4. Here is what will happen imo. Team X will have a COVID outbreak and forfeit several games. Then the NFL will make the mandatory vaccine announcement. The thing that is holding them back is that if a player is harmed by the vaccine, then that player can sue that NFL.
  5. Won't be long before the vaccine is mandatory in the NFL imo.
  6. The last jersey I owned was Jonathan Stewart. It was given to me as a gift, and I tossed it after he left the team.
  7. We'll know toward the end of this season if he is legit or not imo. I'm not buying any Darnold merch until around game 14 or so, if at all.
  8. Well he wasn't exactly going against Montana and Rice out there, but I like the positivity.
  9. Yeah I did a double take the first time I heard him speaking.
  10. And here is Derrick Brown versus Deonte Brown back in college:
  11. Another factor may be that he's not athletic compared to our other o-line starters, and Rhule has made point that he wants athletic players at every position.
  12. Rhule can go touch the DBO sign for this lineup.
  13. If we're being boring and realistic then hell no the Panthers are not bringing in Watson. Hell look at the Hardy nightmare. And in the future, assuming Watson is cleared and ready to resume his career, the Panthers would be one of the last teams to be able to acquire him. Just look at what happened with the last QB free agency market. We were EXTREMELY desperate for a free agent QB, and the best we could do was find a QB who no other team wanted. We could never in a million years get Watson if he was in high demand. Now for the fun side of things. Our only chance of getting Watson is now when other teams DON'T want to take a chance. Now is when we can get a good deal and not have other teams jumping in front of us, or otherwise outsmarting or bidding Fitterer. It's now or pretty much forget about it. It's fun to think about.
  14. Stop with the name calling. You're not in middle school atm.
  15. I think we can win the SB with Watson. Not this years team, but two or three seasons from now. I don't see us ever winning the SB with Darnold.
  16. I don't think I've ever seen a post get 35 poop before. That's a hint you're wrong.
  17. Deonte Brown can handle our very own Derrick Brown who is 6'5 325 pounds. Deonte Brown is 6'4 and was 364 pounds in college, and there was no one who could bull rush him. No one. The Panthers were not happy with how fat Deonte was and they made him slim down to 344ish pounds. Even at 344 pounds you are not going to find someone who can bull rush him imo. You have to use your hands and speed to try and slip around him, your are NOT going to rush him. Anyone who can bull rush this guy is a HOF DT.
  18. The problems I have with Darnold should improve as he gains experience with this system. What worries me is that Steeler nobodies were racing through our o-line to scare the devil out of Darnold. He's already jumpy and seeing ghosts. That doesn't bode well for this season, but the next draft could fix the problem.
