I would give the edge to the Cowboys because we're missing CMC and Horn.
-
Someone said Sam looked like the typical bully from a 90's high school movie.
-
And I hope fans are aware of the rookie wall which we are going to slam into at some point this season especially with 17 games.
-
Our defense is wild and it really tests the o-linemen mentally in practice. We mug a lot and we drop lineman into coverage, or LBs, or anybody could be rushing. It's mentally taxing for a rookie to deal with that split second decision making, and that might be giving Deonte trouble, and we know it gives Christensen trouble. The rookies might need more time baking in the oven.
-
Rhule might be wanting Deonte to cut even more weight before he sees the field. Deonte has the agility of a dump truck, but he's about as powerful an o-lineman as you're going to see. Deonte might not be ready mentally to start as well. He might be one of those guys we don't see taking the field until next season.

Panthers about to trade for CJ Henderson?!?!
pantherj replied to joemac's topic in Carolina Panthers
Getting CJ is great also because he fits our system much better than Jackson. I think long term Jackson will be our slot CB. We like to let our safeties jump routes and have the CBs take over the deep coverage, and Jackson is not suited to do that due to his height/speed limitations. CJ and Horn are the perfect CBs for our funky system because they can cover more ground and get deep in a hurry with long strides. -

I think we just robbed the Jags. CJ should continue to evolve over time and be great in the coming seasons. This is crazy! From desperation cover-3 to nasty man-to-man and trap coverage zone YEEESSSS! -

And if you think about it Jackson hasn't been all that healthy in the past. We have great depth now at CB and we don't have to use Corn. This gives us the best CB duo since Gamble and Lucas once Horn returns. I'm thrilled. Although the naming duos of Corn and Horn, Arnold and Darnold, it was shaping up to be pretty funny. -

I've been wanting to move Jackson to the slot for the longest time. -
CMC Injury Update: "Less than grade 1" hamstring strain

I feel like we hang in there with any team including the Bucs so long as CMC is out there. -

Should be ready to go for the Eagles game (imo). Great news! -
If we start Corn that will be hard for me to digest.

We need a back who can get around the edge, pick up the blitz, and be a safety valve for Sam. How tall is Duke by the way, 5'7"?

It's time to draft another highly talented RB. Two headed monster.

We need to draft another great RB and have a two headed monster.

Sam Darnold "optimistic that CMC will be back this season."
pantherj replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
When you have a high ankle sprain you are way more likely to have a hammy injury to that same leg the following season. CMC did not react to the sprain like he did so much damage that he would be out all season. I'm hoping he's back in 2 weeks. -

Chubba Hubbard... Boom or Bust?
pantherj replied to Future of the Funchise's topic in Carolina Panthers
Our o-line was gassed from the Sunday game. To make matters worse the Texans were jumping our snap count badly and it wasn't fixed for several possessions. Once we fixed the snap count problem the Texans d-line got gassed and became ineffective. -
Chubba Hubbard... Boom or Bust?
pantherj replied to Future of the Funchise's topic in Carolina Panthers
I had a feeling Chubba was going to drop that TD pass because Darnold let it go a little early. That meant that the ball was on him just as he turned. It's harder to catch when you only see it for a second, but he still should have caught it. -

Rhule doesn't allow extending at the goal line unless it is 4th down.

LOL Chuba what a night!

Great news just a broken foot. Could play again this season.
