Fitterer and Gilmore are neighbors btw.
-
Yeah I think we will hang on to him. I don't buy into the rumor mill often, but I figured I'd pass the info on.
-
There is zero chance Jackson is going to play FS imo.
-
It's supposed to be a package deal for a lineman and Gilmore will be in it, but only if the other team takes the bait. They're not saying the details now and it's rumored the info if leaking from one of our scouts. Could be total bs.
-
Uh oh. So don't take this too seriously as this is a rumor. This may be fake insider information, but this rumor mill is saying we are looking to trade for offensive linemen and Gilmore might be involved.

HOLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYYYY POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP

Christensen looks like a LT/RT not a guard, and if we want him at guard then we need to bulk him up. If I were going to play Christensen now then I'd put him at LT and leave Moton at RT. The biggest thing that bothers me is that Deonte is not at RG. I don't care if he's slow at pulling and running down field he is a BRICK WALL at pass blocking. Paradis is a constant problem and he's going to ruin Sam. We need to look at our practice squad for a center.
-
CJ got screwed on that play because we blitzed and they screwed up the blitz and went in the wrong lanes. That's why Dak had a month to throw.
-
This could be a Christensen needs to bulk up and Brown needs to slim down situation. Or maybe they don't know the offense well enough, or both.
-
Didn't Christensen go in a few games back and get knocked on his ass and then promptly get pulled two plays later? I am misremembering that?

This game wasn't a mystery before it started. We knew Dak was on fire and going to make a lot of plays through the air. We knew Elliot could run behind that line. We knew their o-line was enormous and talented. That alone is not a good situation. Then you look at our o-line, and sadly they are outmatched against just about any d-line. We're on a wing and a prayer when we throw the ball, and against a great offense we're forced to run too many dangerous plays to keep up. We're basically in the exact same situation we've been in since 1995. We have a good defense, a middle of the road QB/game manager with some weapons, and a shaky at best o-line. If you exclude our terrible teams, that's pretty much all I've seen the Panthers have. We've never had an elite QB with a great o-line. It's just never happened and we've been around since the 90's. Rhule has a backwards blueprint for how to build a team imo. Or he built this team the opposite way I would have built it. I would have started with QB and o-line given what we already had on the team. If you have a good QB behind a brick wall with some weapons, then you should be in every game with the way the NFL puts passing first given the rules. Then work on building up the defense. What good did all of our 1st round pick defenders do against that brick wall o-line and Dak? The rules favor offense. Since Rhule is doing things backwards I expect him to start building the o-line in the next two seasons. Christensen and Deonte might not even be anything more than depth. Who knows.

We knew going into this game Dallas had a badass o-line, Dak is on fire, and they have plenty weapons. We were without Horn. Sometimes you get the bear. Sometimes the Bear gets you.

That CJ play was by no means a reason to bash him in any way. No one could have covered Cooper alone on that play with a dead pass rush.
-
I love CJ but he was put in a bad spot out there. He is a press man CB yet he had cover Cooper with a huge cushion. Cooper went in motion and wasn't touched running wild toward CJ, and then the pass rush got man handled by that Dallas o-line causing CJ to give up a deep one. Even so CJ was right there to defend it, but Dak threw a picture perfect pass.
-
Dallas has a very talented o-line, and they did a good job of neutralizing our d-line. To make matters worse the refs were letting the o-line hold on run plays, and especially on their first drive. That opened up rushing lanes you could drive a dump truck through. To pile on the defense starting getting gassed around the middle of the 3rd quarter due to poor play by our offense. If that wasn't bad enough, two defensive starters went down and came back in hurting. If we want to beat a team with as much talent as the Cowboys then we need fair refs, and Horn and CMC need to be back. Even then it would be a nail biter.

Assuming Deonte goes to RG, and Christensen to LG, we still need a LT and Center. We could use our 1st pick on a LT, and snag a center in free agency. That might give us a steady o-line, and we already have what we need otherwise on offense and defense.
-
No individual o-lineman is worse than Nate Chandler as starters go, but as a collective this might be the worst o-line in the history of the NFL.
-
With CMC I think we win this one.
-
Ballgame.
-
D is too tired now.
-
O-line can’t protect Sam.
-
Now our d will be gassed.
-
The o-line looks like weak 40 year old men clinging to the league for their last paychecks.

CJ is a press man CB not that bs
