Gettleman has run the Giants into the ground and now they may be the worst team in the NFL. Our defense should eat the Giants offense alive, but anything can happen.

But the Giants defense will get gassed imo. Even if Sam poops the bed against the Gaiants and we unexpectedly lose, we have an owner who thought Sam was going to air it out and score a lot of points. Now he's seen that Sam is terrible, and he honestly looks sad and angry. He's had enough.

SInce it's already clear Sam can't execute our offense, Fitterer might already be working on a deal for a different QB before the trade deadline is up next month. Otherwise we'll go hat in hand to Houston once trading resumes in March. Watson is the obvious QB for us and he's light years better than bottom tier Sam. It's not even close, and Houston is looking to move Watson.

Sam will play better against the Giants because the Giants are terrible. Very likely we beat the Giants and that might one of our last few wins. Sam will continue to crap the bed against any average or good teams, and that will be it for Sam. No more Sam after this season. It will be Watson to replace him imo, and it will cost our 1st.

Our offense doesn't work without him. No he isn't going anywhere.

Acceleration/Burst (5.58/10) "As mentioned before, Hubbard isn’t a fan of attacking the edge and getting outside the tackle box. The reason why is he lacks acceleration. Hubbard is a short stride runner and needs several steps to build up speed, especially when heading towards the edge. When running downhill, he tends to have more success building up speed, but still not enough to run away from faster defenders." This was part of a scouting report on him and I agree with this evaluation. I've seen him get caught and dragged down trying to get around the edge, but we'll see this Sunday. I hope your right and he flies around the edge for big gains.

I've seen him lose foot races around the edge with not so fast LBs. That is why the coaching staff doesn't want to use him like that imo.

But that is omitting the plays where is is easily caught trying to get around the edge by LBs.

Chubba is not good at running outside. He doesn't have the speed you need to get around the edge. That means that we are going to north and south Chubba until he is almost certainly injured. Expect Chubba to be injured going north and south this Sunday.

Yeah Teddy was a beast with horizontal offense, but that gets clogged up in the redzone. Teddy needed a monster to toss the ball up to high in the endzone, or something, but our receivers were too small. Still if you went man on us Teddy would just eat you up with DJ and company at mid-field. We were dead in the water once we got to the redzone.

It's sad that I have been missing Teddy and his accurate on time passes in our system. Even under duress Teddy had a knack for getting the ball out. Teddy is a lower tier QB who would have never led this team to the SB, but still Sam is making me miss Teddy. People crapped on Teddy for not going deep, but when Sam goes deep it's like closed his eyes and chucked to nowhere.

I didn't read this thread, so sorry if this is redundant. Why would Rhule make an announcement that we are changing our offense to run the ball more. Wouldn't that be alerting our opponents to our plans? Wouldn't it be better if they didn't know that? This is pretty much the death nail for Sam imo. It's basically admitting that he can run the offense, and even Teddy could run the offense.

Sam = Teddy 2021 Defense > 2020 Defense 2021 Offense < 2020 Offense Both teams are/were not playoff worthy barring major injuries to key opponents.

I look at it this way. You're not winning the SB with Teddy, and you're not winning it with Sam. So what's the point of having either one of them? To have a disappointing season that ends with focusing on the draft? This is QB limbo. Our QB isn't good enough to win trophies, but he's not bad enough to be benched immediately. We can stick with Sam for many years, but we're not winning the SB with him. Not happening.

Once CMC returns we will beat a few of the lesser teams we have remaining on the schedule.

We need 4 starting level o-linemen and a better QB. Watson could be our QB solution, but this is a lost season.

All of this can be corrected with a much better QB, and there is one who is going to be unloaded at some point. Rhule thought he could just roll with Sam and his superior coaching would make up for it. Now he knows the QB decides your fate in NFL.

Would you be happy if we acquired Waston with a high 1st round pick?

The problem is that I've seen enough of Sam to know he sucks. That's the freak out moment because you know the season is over. Sam isn't leading this team anywhere except up the draft board. Yeah we'll win a few more games after CMC returns, but we don't have a QB. We're toast and that should freak you out. The season is lost.

I don't want to watch Sam for the rest of the season, but we're stuck. Now as soon as we can we should trade for Watson.

Brady sucked with Teddy. He sucks with Sam. His play calling is on autopilot. We need Watson and an OC with more creativity and talent.

Sam is toast. Cam is toast. It has to be Watson.
