5 second Rhule.
-
Once we have Horn at 1CB and CJ at 2CB we can stop this getting eaten alive with the pass.
-
Here is a scary thought. I think if Washington only ran the ball against us, no passing, they still would have won.
-
We loaded the box and Washington still ran it down our throats. This is an indication that the defense must be retooled in the off season unfortunately.
-
Rhule is an intelligent perfectionist. The brand is players who execute the offense and defense to near perfection, including technique, and go above and beyond in effort even when it's outside the scope of executing their play. This doesn't work. It will never work. There are too many dumb players on offense, and especially defense, who will never live up to the brand. They will keep making bloopers and blunders because they lack intelligence and attention to detail. This is true for every team in the NFL. All teams have F-up idiots who will shoot your team in the foot, and even on critical downs that decide the game. Grabbing, jumping off sides, running the wrong route, busted coverage, ect, this will never stop. That's why the brand stuff doesn't matter. The DBO sign doesn't matter. A lazy player will play sloppy when he becomes tired, and then comes the penalties and busted plays. What is the wining formula? You have to have a QB who can overcome the bloopers and blunders made by the dumber and lazier players who are a given on any team. You build a brick wall o-line, and that allows a talented and intelligent QB to overcome the setbacks caused by the problem players. The o-line also allows you to go into BRUTE mode when the receivers are playing like poop. The defense just needs to be decent, but the offense needs to funnel through a well protected and highly talented QB. What we have right now is a QB who can't make up for bloopers and blunders in most cases. That means we have to play near perfect football to beat most teams. Everyone has to play smart well disciplined football. That doesn't work most of the time. Rhule can't put his brain in the heads of all the players. Many of them are just too dumb. It's too much to overcome. We just don't have the right blueprint to win right now.

We can't even load the box and stop the run.
-
Buffalo, and the two TB games will be losses imo. That's 5-9. The other games are 50/50. I think we're probably headed to 7-10.

Jackson is vulnerable against the deep ball. We've always known this to be true, but when the pass rush plays well, or the opposing QB sucks, it's not a factor. Tall track star WRs can run past him, and then beat him for the jump ball if it's under thrown. What to do? In the future you want Horn and CJ on the #1 and #2 WRs, and Jackson in the slot. CJ should actually be starting over Jackson, but Rhule and Jackson have been talking about how brilliant Jackson has been playing. Like Jackson is on some sort of different level mentally like Michael Jordan or something. This narrative helps to justify Jackson starting over CJ, but it makes no sense because Jackson is screwing up more than CJ. Granted Jackson is out there more, but still. What's coming imo is that CJ will take the spot from Jackson. By doing that you stop opposing QBs from beating Jackson with jump balls. You can't just use jump balls against CJ because he's going to win a lot of them, so you have to throw a perfect ball against CJ.

Ever scream at your team SPREAD OUT!

Speculating that our best player will be figured out and shut down in the future is anything but tame. It's just about the most negative prediction that could possibly be made.

Official WFT at Carolina Panthers GameDay Thread!

Jackson is limited due to his height. He just can't keep up deep, and he's not good at jump balls. Attacking him deep is always a good idea. I don't want Jackson back if he tries to break the bank. He can accept a team friendly deal or walk. The problem in our secondary is that we can't play CJ the way he is meant to be played. CJ is press man ONLY. Do not play him in zone. Until CJ is up to speed we a vulnerable, that and we have busted coverage on a regular basis due to low football IQ secondary players. -
"Once they figure out CMC" is not a fact. That's basically negative speculation.
-
The ran it down our throats. That would be enough to dominate our defense, but Ron wanted more. They passed when they didn't even need to do so, and it exposed our secondary as being incompetent in coverage. They had no idea what they were doing out there. Busted coverage all over the place.

I think you have the most negative posts on the Huddle. Is there an award for most negative poster? You've got that hands down.
-
We took the right approach on offense. The problem is that our defense was man handled even though Rhule thinks he has his big DE package. We need a run stopping DE, and better play in general from the d-line. Our LBs got mauled and couldn't run free.
