Nice comeback story for Flacco, but CJ is balling tonight. Goodnight Browns.
-
We can't even enjoy this playoff game without thinking of what could have been.
-
CJ lighting it UP!
-
Refs ruining the game of course.
-
A Texans WR went for an ill advised throw and got his arm hit at an awkward angle. Not sure who.
-
Look at CJ stand there strong and take the hit and deliver the deep ball.
-
Texans defense is swarming.
-
Might be a shoulder injury from the looks of it.

I have several streaming services, including Peacock, just in case something like this happens. So I'll fire up Peacock which I rarely use.

Effective offense. During the Cam era we just used him as a battering ram and that made up for offensive incompetence. Once Cam's body starting wearing down we relied on a potential HoF RB in CMC for offense, and then he started wearing down. The problem was that we never had the staff in place to create an offensive system that could be effective without a generational talent dragging the team down the field. Then Fitt traded CMC... dear god. We found out how idiotic a lot of coaches and coordinators are at the NFL level. Frank and Beans embarrassed himself to the point where I don't think he can show his face in Charlotte without feeling some kind of shame. His play calls were moronic. Period. So thanks to Fitt we really don't have a special player who can elevate mediocre play calling. Fitt flopped in the draft, and his free agents were TERRIBLE, and he stripped the offense of DJ and CMC. DJ I could forgive, but CMC was propping up the offense. We didn't need to trade CMC to draft Young (who looks terrible). We have no offense. That's what we're missing. We're bad at every position on offense except slot receiver, RT, and RB. Think about that. That's how bad Fitt was at roster building. All our positions on offense are bad except slot receiver, RT, and RB. We need to fill so many positions that being decent in 2024 is out of the question. Where to start? LT - Icky will need to move inside. His pass blocking is HORRENDOUS. That means we need to draft a LT, or move Christensen to LT. G - I hate all of our guards. All of them except Corbett whose knee is beyond ruined. C - Bozeman is a slow lurching fatso who yells at our weird, blank, emotionless QB. This is follwed by Young crying in the locker room. Great. We need a more athletic C who can actually pass block. TE - We don't have any. The only way our poop TEs can look good is when we play GB's legendarily bad secondary. Draft at will, or find a free agent. WR - We need a #1 and #2. What a nightmare. It doesn't get any worse than that. RB - If we're sticking with noodle arm, then someone else has to make explosive plays. We need an elite RB so long as Young is our QB. RB is the least of our concerns on offense, but if a potential superstar RB falls in our lap, then pull the trigger. If for no other reason than to give me someone fun to watch on Sundays. I honestly don't know of our 2023 team could beat our 2010 Pickles team. It would be a close game, maybe the 2023 team wins 2 to 3. I'm running draft simulations here and there to show everyone what I'd like to do to fix this team, but 2024 is not going to go well no matter what we do. 2025 maybe.

It's a shame Fitt blew the Rams deal, but he's finally gone. The goal now is to negotiate a more reasonable deal with Burns, while still keeping him happy. You really don't want to trade him at this point. Teams will not offer anywhere near the Rams wonderful deal, and that's terrible considering Burns talent level at his position. This problem would never have happened if were not for Fitt being incompetent. We've got to fight tooth and nail with Burns butthole agent to do a reasonable deal. Even if it's not a great deal for us, I don't want Burns traded for one first. No. Sign him. Fight that agent for something reasonable. If no deal, then tag his ass, and we'll replace him later.

Yeah I've liked Van Pran for a while because he's so steady and balanced and wide, but on the other hand he's not that powerful. Franklin runs a 4.35 40 and he flies on the field. I think we need to get steady on the o-line, and more explosive at WR.

OMFG not this again. I had almost forgotten about this idiotic speech! Might as well just refer to it as the "point guard" speech. I still can't believe he said all of that crap. Please let him just sell the team.

Young was difficult to watch. The most alarming problem that cropped up was his horrendous deep ball. Then I started to notice that there was low velocity on his passes, another worrying problem. The ball would hang out there to dry and I'd lean forward, my eyes widening, expecting a pick 6. It then accrued to me that Young reminded me of Drew Brees after his arm weakened from old age, but minus the fast processing mind. The QB I was told was some sort of wunderkind savant was actually not anything close to that. I don't know what the future holds for Young, but at this point things are looking grim.

Good man. Would take him back here as DC in a heartbeat.

Breaking, Ian Rapoport: Fitterer Fired
pantherj replied to NJPanthers12's topic in Carolina Panthers
It fells great knowing Fitt is finally gone. He always did the opposite of what I wanted and it drove me crazy, and drove the Panthers into the NFL basement. We're lucky to have even had 2 wins, and look that those lost seasons under Darnold. Sad. Aimless. Hopeless. Pointless. Unfortunately Fitt was allowed to trade CMC and DJ, and unload future draft picks before getting the boot. He was probably just flailing desperately to save his job and mortgaging our future in the process. It's going to hurt not having the #1 overall pick, but getting rid of Fitt is a nice consolation. The next GM has to prove he can hit on draft picks, and make good deals in free agency. With no 1st round pick, low levels of talent on the roster, a rookie contract QB, and CMC's money coming off the books, we should be able to make some big moves. And by big moves I don't mean a Burns mega deal, but rather fixing the offense. A smart GM will know to do that. -
He has to be in shock. Imagine you're thinking you're on a playoff team, but in fact you're on the worst team that franchise has ever put on the field. Brutal.
-
We could have CMC and DJ Moore on this team right now and still have traded for Young. That is the sickening part. We lost a HoF type RB and that didn't have to happen to move up for Young. Don't trade CMC to SF, but do trade Burns to the Rams. Don't trade DJ to the Bears, offer other players. They would have taken a different deal. We were already offering a fantastic deal, and if the Bears don't want a player, then offer another future pick. Fitt DOES NOT know what he's doing.
-
If Burns walks then Fitt follows.
-
I don't want Burns traded for peanuts now. Now we're f-ing keeping him. He's staying, and Fitt you had better make a good deal. You must have had a plan when you refused the Rams, so execute your plan and make a good deal for the team. That or I don't ever want to hear anything Fitt has to say about anything. Ban his comments from the huddle.
