Mike Tolbert doesn't fumble in 2015.Or we don't go for two the first time in 2004.
  2. I'll go further. They were the best defense of all time at any level in any sport.
  3. Darnold was bad that year but he didn't have any games where he threw for 50 yards.
  4. I mean, it was answered well enough for me last year. No legit NFL QB has games as bad as he had last year, especially in his third year. That's what's so frustrating. It's beyond obvious he's not the guy barring a miracle comeback and we're just stuck waiting it out until we can have hope again.
  5. I remember that ridiculous Nawrocki piece and the debate here over it. There were posters here who were upset that people were criticizing Nawrocki as if he was some great and obviously fair draft analyst and couldn't understand why the "fake smile" stuff rubbed people the wrong way.
  6. "Toughest call in football" LMAO. Easiest call. I thought for a minute about Green or Dareus, but at the first pick QB had a lot more value and Cam was a mile above what was a very weak class for non-Cam QBs. Gabbard was a second rounder at best.
  7. I'll never forget people saying Gabbard would be better than Cam, just the worst takes ever. I respect Mr Scot but he was the leader of the anti-Cam crowd and it's hard to forget a take that wrong.
  8. I'm expecting 7-8 wins. I think the draft was great but I don't think that translates into more wins in 26.
  9. I'm not sure he's better than what we have at this point his career. Also we haven't had good QB play either.
  10. He really fell off the last few years, injuries or QB play?
  11. It's baffling. Bryce is the most replaceable QB out there. Pretty much any other team with a bottom third qb with a mid/low ceiling is going to keep throwing darts. One more year of him and we can finally move on and have real hope again.
  12. That seems about right. No higher than that for a bottom third qb with two years left, including one expensive year. He played well enough last year to show he is startable. It depends on whether other teams thought he has any upside left and whether he's been hindered by coaching and surrounding cast. I think most teams would answer no, but if they thought he could step it up just a little I could see trading a fourth or fifth for a bridge guy/top tier backup.
  13. Yeah, but if you were a doubter on Bryce, that ultimate grade was predictable. I was a lot less skeptical than some at the time, but I would have taken CJ and didn't think Bryce was a sure fire hit. Tbh I probably would have given it a B or B- at the time, but the fact it turned out bad is not surprising. Basically a high risk QB underperformed, not shocking.
  14. Yes, because it'll be even more obvious how much he is the weakest link. I expect the same old pathetic play we've seen for three years, lots of 130 yd games with like 40 yards and four first downs at half. I don't see any reason to expect anything else. And so we'll move on.
  15. I think we're probably headed for something like 8-9 again but miss the playoffs. Then we dump Bryce, Pickett, and any other QBs, draft one in the first and sign a startable vet and go 8-9 again. Then the QB we drafted gets good in the second year and we win the Super Bowl in 2028 season.
  16. I used to think Juan was a Zod alt. Agree he's a great poster.
  17. I feel pretty good about this roster. QB is the weak point, but that just is what it is at this point.
  18. There's a chance Brooks can play. But if there's any position where I'd be ok picking someone off the street if needed, it's RB
  19. Ha, they scare me more than they scare Bryce. In all seriousness in the 7th I would take whatever quarterback has the biggest arm out of any of them left. Bro needs to see how limited he is every single day in practice and so damn sure better make the most of what he's got.
  20. Qb in 7th if for no other reason to try and throw a little bit more of a scare into Bryce. I agree with your overall assessment, but don't agree that taking a tackle in the first isn't a sexy pick. A huge athletic tackle with high upside is pretty exciting.
  21. Not every pick has to slot into an immediate starting role. Depth at cornerback is critical, and he may be able to become a future starter there.
