  1. the Dallas game definitely quelled the hype. his biggest issue will always be his size, and that shows when he gets sacked. he's simply not big or strong enough to protect the ball. even in the KC game, he fumbled it on a basic sack and thank god icky landed on it. INT's are going to happen, most fans don't understand that tipped balls and wrong routes account for most interceptions. but the wet-bar-of-soap type fumbles upon contact are a huge reg flag. the common theme with players like Darnold and Mayfield who previously played for us and are now excelling makes me want to practice patience more when it comes to the QB position. I think Bryce bought himself another season, perhaps with more weapons. I do like the idea of adding a QB whether that's a FA or mid round rookie. if the same mistakes occur next season and we see no further growth or most importantly, wins, then it will be time to move on. just a quick reminder though, football is not an individual sport. QB is just one position, albeit the most important.
  2. I've still got my guard up, but as long as we're competitive - I'm happy. To play devils advocate, he was lucky Icky was there for that fumble. That ball slipped out of his hand like a bar of soap and it was a pretty standard sack, he didn't get drilled or hit while throwing. Those kind of plays still have me apprehensive that he is a "guy". The throw out of bounds on 3rd down was stupid too. Not every game is going to be perfect, but he's showing flashes.
  3. Padres suck see my response to the other dude, you would think after 12K posts on here you would grasp that this place is literally just for fans to spew poo around like potential QB's for a team we have no control or say in.
  4. you'd think after almost 20K posts you would understand how a football fanatic message board works but here we are
  5. the Panthers cannot fire anyone for at least another year. that would be such an awful look. we could lose every game by 3 scores and we still could not make that move.
  6. I can't start a thread yet, but what about Aaron Rodgers for a year with a rookie sitting behind him? He's a goner in NY with their GM and coach out.
  7. eh I'm fine with Bryce, Jones and a Rookie QB next year. Maybe Canales can revive Jones like he couldn't with Bryce? and if that fails we have a rookie QB.
  8. what's he supposed to say? no? and get fired at the end of the season anyways? he gets an opportunity to prove his ability again with a #1 pick QB and a slew of weapons.
  9. why tf isn't Brooks playing today? I thought he was ready.
  10. Miami fan here, Cam is the real deal. Landing him next year would be a pipe dream. He's definitely top 5 talent, pro will win Heisman too. He's got that silent but strong leadership quality like Stroud. His teammates respect and listen to him, he leads with his play on the field, looks calm, looks more skilled than everyone, can make every through, he can run. He talks some shitt after a TD, he'll get in your D's head. Everything you wanna see out there really. Not only all of that, but imagine having another Cam wearing #1 in Carolina.
