    Maybe - but we have 66 players under contract already. 6 picks brings that to 72. I’m sure we will add 2 more free agents after the draft, bringing us to 74. Then come the UDFAs to bring us to 90 for camp. Trading back to accumulate more picks while risking losing out on a more talented player just doesn’t make sense.

    I don’t see us trading down from 39. Fitt has been clear that the talent level drops off big time after 45 or so.

    Considering that Fitt already said a few days ago that DE is a target at 39…I’d assume they want to upgrade

    Clowney isn’t worth 1M a year honestly. He’s just not good. He wants 10M a year…but I do agree he won’t get it. But he’s also not an upgrade over anyone we have on the roster.

    I like Barno - but he was mostly a special teams guy last year. You can’t count on him becoming an all pro. We have ignored DE/Edge for too long. Heck even Burns would be a backup on the Eagles.

    And you’ll pay 10M for each of them. There’s still some really good corners out there. Darby and Phillips both posted 70 pff grades. And both played under Evero last year.

    Idk - with Burns coming up for an extension, we really need another starting edge on a rookie deal for a few years.

    Still think we will sign a CB in FA. Tre Flowers is still out there, as is Darby and Darius Phillips.

    Mingo will be gone in the 2nd. I don’t see us trading down - we take the best DE or WR available at 39.

    If I am Houston, I’m trading both first rounders this year for Lamar Jackson. They have the cap space and draft capital. Makes too much sense.

    His size won’t change at the next level, so we know that’s a certainly. All those others things you said…not a single person knows if he has the ability to do those things at an elite, pro level.

    Chances of our pick, whoever it is, of being a star are low based on nfl history. But you gotta try. I think Stroud is the better prospect. I’m fine with Young though. But don’t lose sight of the fact that when it’s all said and done, Matt Corral might be better than both.
