People around here complain about anything, doesn’t mean Burns wasn’t used lol. He has seen a ton of field time. I’d argue this year he’s on the field more than most DEs. Yet he has never had double digit sacks (should this year I assume). my main issue with Burns are all the plays he doesn’t make. The man has so many missed tackles, whiffs, and poor angles that it is maddening. He simply is not a consistent, 3 down player.

Uhhh - Burns has started nearly every game in his NFL career. He’s a 4 year starter

Kind of a worthless stat, since players enter the league at different ages. Compare # sacks in the first 4 seasons, and Burns is way down the list

Agree - Burns was being blocked by a friggin TE against Bengals at times. He is not double teamed much at all

Agreed - Burns is worth about 6M per year. We will pay him 25M per year and get nothing but whiffs. Imagine the upgrades we could have made with that draft capital. The 2024 first rounder could have easily been used to trade back into the first round in 2023 and grab another starter
