Down 4 might be too much for this offense to overcome

Good position here. Need to pound the rock

What a play!
-
Why oh why did he not catch that

I view this as a huge game for this team. We have a chance to get above .500 while also matching last years win total at the halfway point of the season. It’s time to string together some wins and position ourself for a playoff run down the stretch.

CMC just got activated and Sam cleared the protocols.

Great news. I imagine both will play. -
Will Charlotte ever have a parade?

Hahaha beat me to it! -
Yeah - he said something like “I like you as a person but not as a QB.” And you could tell by Jake’s expression that he didn’t see the humor in it. Smitty was a great player…but he’s a bad human being.

Defense will force Jones into a couple big mistakes and the offense will do just enough to score more points than the Pats. That results in a win 100% of the time
-
I’d rather upgrade, but we only have 1 valuable draft pick next year and need to use it for the OL. Might be stuck with Carter for another year unless someone comes available in FA
-
He must have visited the Huddle recently

Red zone turnovers are always costly, and PJ seems to make some ugly throws down there. With that being said, our defense is much better this year and I don’t think it’s appropriate to assume that Mac Jones is going to easily have his way with us if PJ throws a couple picks. Whether PJ or Sam starts, this game will be decided by our defense.

Watch PJ and Chubba go off, against all odds, and we score 40 points using mostly RPO.

Advanced Passing Stats Through 8 Games(2020 vs. 2021)

Lol Teddy was pressured less because the check down route was his first and only read -
4th rounder would be nice. Or…an OL worthy of actually being on an NFL roster?
-
I don’t think that is fair - they’ve made some pretty amazing moves. Sure, we’ve cut ties with guys near the end of their career, but Olsen coming back to retire shows there’s no hard feelings. as far as QB, they’ve at least tried. Teddy was good enough to warrant a trade and win a starting job elsewhere. Sam hasn’t had a fair shake behind this line. And it’s not like any of the draft picks have been setting the world on fire…matter it’s fact they all have outright sucked this far.

Looking at the big picture, building a team question
Smithers replied to PanthersATL's topic in Carolina Panthers
This team isn’t far off. We need to resign our major contributors this off-season (Jackson, Reddick, Gilmore) and use FA and our limited draft capital to shore up the OL. TE is possibly another need depending how Tremble develops. Beyond that it’s really about building the second and third string, especially at LB and DL. It’s year 2 and we are currently 4-4, sitting in the wild card spot, and 2-0 in our division. -
So who does PFF assign responsibility to for all the free rushers that came through several times? The OL was better, but sheesh several falcons players came through untouched at times
-
The offense line was actually adequate vs the Falcons
Smithers replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Still way too many free rushers. Sam did an amazing job throwing the ball away and getting the ball out fast. If not for that, he would have been sacked at least 5 times. -
Saints had 152 rushing yards against them yesterday.

We Beat the Falcons ....... get some winning pie!

8 weeks in, and we are currently sitting in the final wild card spot! -
Read option is the only thing PJ adds to the offense. His decision making and accuracy, however, is terrible.

8 weeks in and we are still sitting within 2 games of first place. I’ll take it
