I fully understand that part and you are absolutely right. My issue is this exempt list is the Guantanamo Bay of the NFL. You get put on it for a year with no hint of a resolution until the trial ends, then his case is dismissed completely and still no resolution and now they say he can't come off before being punished. They need to take him off the fuging black hole abyss that is the exempt list so they can dish out an appropriate punishment so teams know what they are getting from Greg Hardy the free agent. This whole thing is completely bogus man.

I understand a 17 game paid suspension doesn't count as punishment in the NFL world. But this exempt list is the fuging Guantanamo Bay of the NFL. Much like I said after the SS release debacle, learning and improving is what matters. DG learned from the Smitty release and now treads lightly when talking about potential cuts. If they learned from a perceived mistake with the passing of deangelo's mother then good for them.

They went to CJ's grandmothers funeral, and during the whole Deangelo Twitter exchange yesterday CJ tweeted the Kermit it's none of my business meme. I think CJ is perfectly happy with the organization and how they handled the passing of his grandmother.

Deangelo should be calling out Stewart, Tolbert, Cam, Steve Smith, Thomas Davis, his offensive line and every other player not named Greg Hardy for not showing up at the funeral either, but he won't, because it's easier to score points with simple minded people by just pointing to the big bad billionaire owner for not showing up instead.

I don't like how in his interview he said nobody contacted him or came to the funeral, then after his exchange with Igo he says ok well yeah management approached me but ownership did not. I hate when people make a big public display saying one thing to get people's attention then say the whole story to a select few. It's sensationalism and really takes away from any case he may have had IMO.

My wife and I often fight over the issue of me not being sensitive to her feelings. If I am mad or upset or feel like she isn't "being there" for me, she knows it immediately. If I am "not there" for her emotionally for something, I don't hear about it until some time much later. She keeps it up her sleeve until a later time like an immunity idol in survivor or a 99 lives contra code. I tell her she needs to let me know immediately so I can try and make up for the error and be there for her, not save it until she's mad at me for something else. Seems like if Big Cat didn't reach out to him it is uncharacteristic and probably not out of malice, but was a mistake just the same. That being said, Deangelo should have gone into his office and told him that his lack of empathy was hurtful. As is so often the case, it seems like better communication on all sides could have prevented any of today's bitterness.

Honestly I feel like DW needs to just stay away from media, especially social media, until he has had an opportunity to cool down and reflect. I am the damn poster-child of regret for doing things in the heat of the moment and letting my emotions get to me. The Internet is a mean, mean black hole of negativity and hatred and he shouldn't expect a bunch of hugs on there right now. It's only going to get worse and then NFL network and espn will show the tweets and the Panthers are going to be shown as ugly and then the teams PR will have to go on the offensive and just...stop. Just stop DWill and keep your dignity and air this poo out another day if you feel it necessary.

So this organization builds a statue and a motto for a guy that only played here for a handful of seasons because he exemplified courage; They rally around that player and Mark Fields with a bunch of 51/58 shirts in the 2002/3 season; The owner gives Greg Olsen use of his private jet for his sick family; The coach and GM attend the funeral of CJ's grandmother; They back Deangelo Williams up during his campaign to add pink to uniforms in honor of breast cancer awareness; And then his mom passes and they give him a big fug you? Now I don't think DW is just making things up, but I just can't believe it. We are a middle of the road football team that's never been extraordinary in part because we value high character over high football skill. He also mentioned that he was actually cut last week in his meeting too.

Could be but I doubt it. Gettleman always says how he is a film guy, and mentioned he hadn't gotten much of a chance to look into film yet. I suppose if between his interview last week and today he looked at a lot of film it's possible.
