Bright side? They get to hang in Chicago for two days. -
The NFL Draft is just a couple of weeks away and will be held at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois. Traditionally the NFL Draft has been held in New York City at the Radio City Music Hall, but this year it won’t be. Every year players who are expected to be taken in the first round of the draft get invited to attend, and this year is no different. There will be 26 players attending the NFL Draft this year, including some notable big names from college football. Two big names won’t be attending, and that are Heisman Trophy winning quarterbacks Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota. The two men expected to go within the first few selections won’t be an attendance for various reasons. Here is the list or prospects to attend: Arik Armstead, DE, Oregon Vic Beasley, DE, Clemson La’el Collins, T, LSU Landon Collins, S, Alabama Bud Dupree, LB, Kentucky Cameron Erving, T, Florida State Dante Fowler Jr, DE, Florida Melvin Gordon, RB, Wisconsin Randy Gregory, DE, Nebraska Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia D.J. Humphries, T, Florida Kevin Johnson, CB, Wake Forest Byron Jones, CB, Connecticut Benardrick McKinney, LB, Mississippi State DeVante Parker, WR, Louisville Andrus Peat, T, Stanford Breshad Perriman, WR, Central Florida Shane Ray, DE, Missouri Brandon Scherff, T, Iowa Danny Shelton, DT, Washington Devin Smith, WR, Ohio State Jaelen Stron, WR, Arizona State Laken Tomlinson, G, Duke Trae Waynes, CB, Michigan State Kevin White, WR, West Virginia Leonard Williams, DT, Southern California Here is the schedule of the events: 7:00 PM CT/8:00 PM ET, Thursday, April 30 (Round 1) 6:00 PM CT/7:00 PM ET, Friday, May 1 (Rounds 2-3) 11:00 AM CT/Noon ET, Saturday, May 2 (Rounds 4-7)

FBGP's Inside the War Room - Carolina Panthers
nctarheel0619 replied to FootballCzar's topic in Carolina Panthers
I know this has nothing to do with the Panthers, but do you see DGB as a risk worth taking for any team at the bottom of the first round? Do you think his talent outweighs the off the field problems?- 32 replies

You can tell the man hasn't paid attention to the Panthers. Unlike myself.

What's next? » Kelvin Benjamin still needs help: He was a fantastic choice in last year's draft, but Cam Newtonneeds much more to move the ball. This seems like a team perennially on the verge of having a decent receiving corps but never makes it all the way. » Greg Hardy needs to be replaced: It was obvious that Carolina was missing its top pass rusher this season, and now that he's long gone, the Panthers need to do more to reconstruct their front seven. The mark of a Dave Gettleman team, just like the mark of an Ernie Accorsi team before him, is to build around quarterback pressure. » Build a secondary: When Gettleman was in New York, his best teams always seemed to get by without amazing talent in the secondary. The NFL is changing, though, and Carolina could use a safety and some cornerbacks. Really, anywhere is a good start. The third one is all I need to know about Mr. Orr.
