Frank Reich's Intro Presser - Today, Noon EST
ncfan replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Would like to hear what he learned from his time how how it ended in Indy. -
This year Justin Herbert was 2nd and Trevor Lawerence was 4th in the entire NFL in batted down passes. Both guys over 6’5 Last year Herbert, Allen, and Big Ben were 1,2, and 3 in the NFL in batted down passes. All at least 6’5 2020 Cam, Phillip Rivers, and Big Ben 3 out of top 5 in the NFL in batted passes. All at least 6’5

His heights and the batted balls narrative is the most over blown thing in this fan base. 1st: Everyone is touchy with this subject because Baker. Matt Corral is only 1 inch taller with a much lower release. So the ball is coming out at around the same height. Should we write him off completely? Also you do realize 2 if the tallest QBs in the league (Allen and Herbert) were at the top of the league in batted down passes last year. So explain that one. if you have the Vision and know how to move the pocket and/or roll out to find the passing lanes. It doesn’t matter. And that’s something Bryce has been able to do better than most prospects to come out in a while. The only concern of there is one should be the weight/frame. Which I’m not overly worried about
-
It was something that people said they would like. Also was a report that Tepper liked both and wish he could have both which fueled that speculation.
-
I don’t know. Because there’s been rumors and smoke their Front office really likes Levis. Thus why you see quite a few people like Daniel Jeremiah mocking him to them now.
-
And his HS “experience” was at a small private HS in Georgia where he resigned after going 20-16 in 3 seasons
-
Their GM isn’t that much better. Pretty much a yes man. He is equivalent to Hurney and Jerry Richardson.
-
Looks like it. would be a great hire
-
.
-
We’ve spent the last 4 off seasons building Defensive foundation pieces, OL, and locking down a WR1. now it’s time to make the swing for a QB
-
If we’re trading up Stroud or Young if we stand at 9, Levis if we can move down a little. ARich If we get a Brian Johnson and Reich pairing, I’d be comfortable in taking a high upside guy like Levis or Richardson. But would still prefer Stroud/Young.

I’ll take him over Manuel (who seems our Front office likes) Dude was the DB coach on that 28-3 Falcons Defense and isn’t doing that great a job in NY per all Jets fans.
-
If my first time ever watching a football game was last night. You couldn’t convince me otherwise that the game was scripted like the wwe
-
A post of mine that you literally quoted had a report saying Reich would like to have him
-
Come on now you know that’s not fair. Because no coach ever comes out and says things like that. It comes out by reports. if that’s what your going by, physical quotes from the coach. No coach has been turned down no a team has had been turned down And every team always gets their #1 choice.
-
Typically when you “would like to have” something. it means you want it
-
“Debunked” or not. there were only 3 finalists out of 9 guys interviewed. And he was 1. So it’s clear theyr liked him. the whole “Reich’s choice” is interesting. Because Reich himself said verbatim that he and Tepper want to get the best Staff not just Reich calling up his buddies. It was reported by everyone that Reich And Tepper both wanted Vic. so who is lying? Reich?
-
It was pretty reported by everyone that he was 2. Fangio was the cream of the crop. And reports were Tepper was “enamored” with him after his interview for the DC job here. And Reich wanted him too
-
If they swing and Miss on Fangio Then let the guy who came 2nd in their HC search walk right to a division rival. after they just got done telling everyone Friday that they were going after a top staff and not call up their buddies. I like the Reich hire, but that wouldn’t be a good look.
