We aren’t drafting another QB this year. can we have a real conversation here.
-
Sorry, haven’t been around the board that frequently and swifter through all the threads. I’ve seen the either pay vs trade debate. but not seen anyone touch on what to do if we do trade him seeing the situation with the roster.

What to do what to do. do we pay him that large deal he is seeking or trade him before the deadline. Ill be honest I’ve wanted to keep him but the price tag has me does leave a little nervous. But do we trade him. Last season we all know by now that the Rams offered 2 1st and more. Reality is, that won’t come across again. Rams were in a last ditch effort in a closing win window with a Aging QB, and a HC contemplating retirement. Burns also had another year on his rookie contract and no one knew what he and his agent were seeking number wise on his new deal. Now the cat is out of the bag what he wants, and many here question if he is even a top 5-8 edge rusher in this league. So why would anyone offered that for a tier 2-3 edge rusher (in some minds) knowing that they’ll also need to pay him 30 mil a year. So let’s make a deal for mid to late 1st rounder. Great. We now we can use that on a WR or CB. But now let’s look over at the rest of the roster. Now we are left with only Barno and DJ Johnson as the Only edge rushers signed in the roster for next year. So I’m curious for the ones quick to jump on the trade Burns wagon. what the overall plan other than trade player x for _ We’re in a pickle at this point. And would love to see what some peoples overall plan is if we trade _ for _ other than just saying your going to do it without looking at the roster repercussions.

Not seeing it. could you drop the link? crazy to make some accusation like that without providing the link to the news story.

CJ Stroud: I’m a football player, not a test taker

That’s not a bash on DJ Dude was amazing. I’m just going off watching film and what they’re doing. (Nico is on pace to have 1400 yards currently if he maintains) -
What are your best ideas for trade packages to help this team?
ncfan replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
My issue with Burns if you trade him for a late rd 1 guy. what’s your plan at edge rusher? YGM is gone to FA Justin Houston is old and on a 1 year deal Marquis Haynes is hurt and a FA at years end Barno and DJ Johnson are your ONLY 2 edge rushers under contract next year once you lose Burns. -

If you can get 2 1s for Burns take it. 1 late 1st for him. I’d be hesitant, because you just open another huge hole on that roster that you would probably have to use that pick on replacing him. id start with Chinn, Tremble, TMJ, some guys that will probably just net you day 3 picks. But need as much ammo we can. that 3rd or 4th rd pick for Chinn could be used as ammo to move from our 2nd rd pick to move to the tail end of rd 1 for a WR. -

Then we’ll have to agree to disagree because the isn’t anyone in the league right now who would take any weapon we have over Nico Collins. Would take Sanders over Pierce. And the OL as a wash. Then actually watching the tape and the play concepts. It be hard to argue Reich’s scheme and play calling over what the guy has done out there so far. If we swapt the players we’d be saying the same thing about the other QB. not crazy talking. Just not box score talk. -

I mean. quite a few people in the league would take Pierce over Sanders. He was a bright spot last year. Nico Collins has looked to be one of the rising young WRs in the league and not necessarily because Stroud. He’s has been getting open open and making some big boy catches. Looked about as good as DJ Moore ever was here. OL has had some hiccups but really not worse than Carolina’s. Also their new OC has done quite well who came from the Shanahan vs the bland route concepts we’ve seen Reich call so far. Not really making excuses. But just reality of watching film. But Stroud has done a good job of delivering -

Still here. Stroud has looked good. but still way to early to compare he and Bryce. Especially with both in completely different situations -
At least that’s what the team thinks. this organization man smh theyve since taken down the tweet once everyone caught wind and started making a mockery out of it about an hour ago.

Joe Burrow (the now highest paid QB) has less then 120 yards passing through his first game and a half only 82 yards total passing last week, and only 35 at the half today

Bu bu bu I thought the bigger the QB the better?

Looks like Bryce is the only QB out of the big 3 to make it through their 1st NFL without getting hurt https://x.com/mysportsupdate/status/1702779896894730728?s=46&t=aiPUjsQe1UqJLQWV6-uFZA

Only because the heat at 1 in the afternoon when it’s 90 degrees. A little shocked we didn’t at least bring out the process blue. Saints all blacks are their big specialty uniforms they only breakout for their big home games. Now we let them wear it here in prime time.

Page out of the Rivera playbook Teppers tenure has been chocked full of missed opportunities

This is probably his last year unless he really turns it around. He had 1 or 2 flash games last year. But that’s not enough. People were shocked to see Mingo ahead of him on the intial depth chart release in August. But Sunday showed why. He was awful. He struggled to get separation. And just looked lost in general. https://x.com/theqbschool/status/1702163033295139166?s=46&t=aiPUjsQe1UqJLQWV6-uFZA completely pulled up on the deep ball (lost). On the 3rd down pinned deep, with everyone pretty covered. Bryce put one on his back shoulder at the first down marker, but TMJ looked like had no clue what was going on.

Just one of those insufferable Stroud fans who is probably still butt hurt after pre ordering a custom made Stroud Panthers jersey before the draft because McCown asked him if he wants to hoop when he came on his visit.
