This^ there is a Big reason, even larger than him, why he is so adamant about wanting to play LT this season (in his contract year). And teams know this, thus why Baltimore wasn’t going to get a 1st 2nd from anyone for him. Win win for both teams here

I have a hard time believing a QB won’t be taken at 7...... by someone
-
This guy has some connections and was the guy who was calling the Darnold move before it happened.
-
Will be a Real nice pairing beside Brown

First off. I believe the Panthers are going to try Hard to shop this pick. one scenario I have and could see is trading with New England. They then would take Jaycee Horn. Our staff is Really Really high on this kid. They have him CB1. Former Seattle CB that Fitterer knows well, Richard Sherman, said Horn is the best CB in this draft. If this scenario. Expect the next 2 picks to be OL. That being said. This is hard to predict. So with the most likely scenario. 8. RaShawn Slater- This pick could be Sewell. But think he will be gone here. There are also rumors that our staff like Slater over Sewell. Panthers are in dire need to solidify the LT position. It has been a revolving door (no pun intended) since Gross left. I’ve lost count on how many different guys we’ve started there since Gross retired. Also import to note. Joe Brady’s offense heavily relies on 5 man protection. This puts a Lot of Pressure on the OL, and the need to have a solid one at that. 2nd: trade down! I expect a few teams to move up for a QB in rd 2. And I expect we will be calling everyone to try to move down and get more picks. Here, I am going to project the Bears to move up here. We get their 3rd. 52. Ifeatu Melifonwu- This kid is a Kid Fitterer would’ve most definitely taken in Seattle. Panthers get another CB with Big upside as they still try to replace Bradbury. 73. Richie Grant-it’s no secret the Panthers want to upgrade at FS. They cut Boston. And while everyone has been focused on what QB pro day our staff has been at. Rhule and co have been at All the TOP Safeties in this drafts pro day. On top, Rhule absolutely fell in Love with Grant at the Senior Bowl. Think if they feel he won’t be here. They will make a move up for him the same way they did with Chinn. 84(via Bears). Jackson Carman- Clemson LT struggled this year. But his film and tools say the kid could transition well to OG. Rhule likes these Versatile kids. 113. David Moore- Panthers throwing draft picks at this OL that needs major help. Moore from Grambling State, had a good senior bowl week and has plenty of upside. 151. Shi Smith- Another Senior Bowl kid, who performed well in front of our staff. Smith has potential to compete for that WR3 spot. rest of the picks bpa

They’re getting feelers just in case Atlanta takes Pitts
-
I secretly like him better at 3-4 OLB to be quite honest
-
It’ll be 9 Or outside of the top 20 for sure. Denver seems to really like him. And I think if they don’t get a QB he will go there. if they go QB. He is really going to start dropping....Fast

Hard Hard pass. He is in a contract year and wants to be paid. Thus the reason you see him being very Vocal about wanting to play LT this year. Which happens to be his contract year. 0.00000000% chance we are going to pay Brown AND Moton. So you going to throw a high 2nd rd pick on a 1 year rental with a team where you are trying to rebuild? Plus, he has only played half a season at LT. To risky.

I’ve been aboard the Mac Jones to SF train for a bit as well. But have since changed. There is some buzz of Fields to SF and Vegas has taken a sharp turn with the odds as well since the smoke started coming following his pro day pt 2 with SF staff there. Raiders are going to shock people and go Barmore here. Do expect them to go OL heavy the rest of the draft. if Fields is there at 7, expect the Bears to put a Strong offer at the table.
-
Honestly think it’s going to be Slater at 8 or trade down for Horn. but there’s smoke for a WR. We’ll see

Less rumor, more somethingI heard from someone I know well connected with one of our division rivals. “They’ll be fine if the Panthers go OT at 8. They just don’t want them to get Chase/Waddle/or Smith. They don’t won’t to give that staff all the Weapons they’d have and surround Darnold with them. They can piece together a avg OL with this depth in this class. But giving Brady/Rhule that. It makes you a little nervous.”
-
I’m honestly just as convinced that we get a “weapon” in rd 1 as an OT. we were apparently close to drafting Ceedee Lamb last year. Also have heard the “surrounding him with weapons” being mentioned by everyone out there in regards to Darnold, while also saying this OT class is Deep

I hope you’re joking. If not your clueless. he had 800+ yards as a true freshman playing in 15 games. And dropped to 500+ playing in 2 less games sharing the WR room with upperclassman like Jeudy, Ruggs, and Smith who all were/are 1st founders. also prior to his injury THIS year. Smith had 483 yards and 4 TDS to Waddle’s 557 and 4 TD’s

Denver will take Micah Parsons if they don’t go QB saints-> Caleb Farley Bucs-> Landon Dickerson

Going a True Bpa at 8 would not surprise me one bit. And a Bama WR wouldn’t shock me either. I know a few People that have Waddle as high as #3 overall and WR1 in this draft. people forget about him because he missed most the season due to injury and Smith went off when he went about. remember. Even with Jerry Jeudy, Ruggs, and Smith. Waddle still stood out and all honestly, whenever Bama needed a big clutch play, Waddle was the one who made it. just to jog people’s memory Week 1 a. 8 catches for 134 2TDs b. 8 catches for 89yds 0TDs week 2 a. 5 catches 141 1TD b. 6 catches 63 1TD week 3 a. 6 catches 120 0TD b. 13 catches 164 1TD week 4 a. 6 catches 161 1TD b. 11 catches 167 2TDs a. Is Waddle b. Is Smith through the 1st 4 games prior to Waddle’s injury.

Paging @Verge !!!! coincidence that Billy Marshall with stating “weapon” rd 1 and OT rd 2?
-
Fitterer maybe. to scout what other teams personnel are there. And get in their ear about trading up to 8 for a QB

1. Jags: Lawerence 2. Jets: Wilson 3. SF: Jones 4. Atl: Kyle Pitts 5. Bengals: Chase 6. Trade! Denver moves up for Fields 7. Trade! Washington moves up and grabs Trey Lance 8. Penei Sewell: after a Historic run on QBs, the Panthers get the best OL in this entire draft. 46. Richie Grant: Panthers Trade down with the Patriots who move up for a QB who fell out of rd 1 (I’m looking at Davis Mills here). Matt Rhule has a crush, and it’s no secret it’s Richie Grant. Grant is Safety 2-3 on people’s boards. I don’t see Rhule waiting around and risk losing him in rd 3. 73. Ifeatu Melifonwu- Big Athletic Toolsy CB in this stacked CB class. 96. *Via Pats*. Ben Cleveland: Cleveland is a Big Mauler in the middle at OG. Impact starter day 1.
