  1. He played at Western Kentucky. Man, some of yall are clueless.
  2. For me, the 2013 Saints game that was a de facto championship game. The game itself was incredibly boring but the end made it all worthwhile. Sitting in the rain, seeing Luke and TD go off. Next up to that experience was the 2013 game against the Patriots on MNF. Stadium was literally rocking.
  3. Okay, and Baker was a locker room cancer who divided the locker room. Guess what we found out when he got here? Likely the same story with Gorropolo
  4. In the "B league"? The gap between the top of the G5 and the P5 programs outside the top 10 is large in cash alone, not talent. Fresno, Boise, App State, UCF, Cincinnati, Memphis, ECU (not so recent but even 2018 I believe), and others have shown this. Hell, Western Michigan beat the ACC Champs last year. A coach can coach and Rhule proved he was a good college coach. I think his issue in the league was related to COVID and his lack of a professional network from which to pull a coaching staff.
  5. I mean, this same thing sort of happened with Armanti Edwards. If Edwards came out of the draft now he would almost certainly be with the Ravens or 49er's, as a QB. But at the time John Fox (rightfully) wanted no part because the mold was what it was (it is what it is) at that time. Not sure if that's what is going on here though.
  6. Tae Hayes was great considering he's only been here a week. Did everything I'd have expected coming from App. Plays tight coverage, flows downhill hard on those quick screens and slants.
  7. 1. Tae Hayes - 2 PBU's and a TFL 2. Rashard Higgins - Got open at will and showed strong hands to high point balls 3. Baker - Looked like an NFL QB capable of making full field reads which isn't something I don't recall seeing in a Panthers QB since probably Steve Burlein
  8. You have to choose one, that's the point. Giving them equal reps does nothing. There is one distinct intangible between the two and that is that one carries himself with confidence and the other looks scared half the time. If all else is equal, you go with the guy that the team will follow. Darnold probably would've benefitted greatly from a Mahomes situation where he sat and then got to go the next year with Andy Ried or something. But he's damaged goods in my uneducated football opinion.
  9. We are talking about practice reps here, not game reps. So it's much ado about everything.
  10. 2020 doesn't count to me. In reality, this is Rhule's second year because 2020 was a waste for roster development and performance, in my opinion.
  11. I said this last week and got poo on for it. Said in one of the Carolina Panthers posts AXETUALLYYYWSYXGS. Why, if reps make you better, is Corral and Baker not getting any?
  12. If we didn't have Corral and Baker, I'd like PJ over Sam especially with mcadoo. Maybe it's the Madden/NCAA effect but I love a mobile QB and he's good enough to play in the NFL, maybe better than Sam with proper coaching (like run the ball 8 yards with 10 seconds left to get a FG attempt).
  13. Corral isn't going to the Practice Squad because he would never clear waivers. I really hate that people keep saying this as if it somehow justifies their take that Rhule sucks. The fact is that if you're trying to evaluate the roster, you need a QB out there to run the offense. PJ can do that better than Corral right now so you put him out just to execute for other guys. Corral is obviously making the team but he may not be the best option to use to evaluate everyone else.
  14. We can eat $13 million of his contract and get a 6th back, essentially what we gave for Baker, in my opinion. He's worth $5 million as a back-up anywhere else but here.
  15. Teddy was right, the Panthers STILL don't practice 2 minute drills enough. This season will be a failure until Rhule buries his pride, admits Teddy was right, and starts drilling situational football.
  16. Sam got a second drive? What kind of garbage are they trying to pull?
  17. 1. Typical 2 minute Matt Rhule garbage. There was no excuse to not get points there, or have an attempt at least. Terrible decision by PJ, terrible clock management by the Head Coach. 2. On the plus side, this looks like a real NFL offense with both Baker and Darnold. Once again Darnold looks like a 1st round talent when he's asked to take 5 snaps but if this were a full game he would turn into Teddy Checkdown and we'd all be lamenting the fact that he's playing. 3. Love Baker's aggressive nature, as evidenced by his trust throw to Anderson. Anderson isn't the guy to go get those but if the Panthers were to find an AJ Brown type, he would be perfect for that role. 4. Rashard Higgins needs to start, period. Put him in over Robbie in two receiver sets, run him in the slot or outside on three, get Robbie lined up on a nickel or linebacker 5. That's it.
  18. He's coming back fine from his ACL. Baylor guy so you know he's gonna stick.
  19. Did you see the people fighting in the video? Aside from that, what does a fight at Fan Fest have to do with Trump? Seriously? He's just going to get rich again from the rent he should be charging. People are so deluded at this point that they literally insert Trump into EVERYTHING. It's got to be exhausting. So here is a tip. Get off of Twitter. Get off of CNN. Get off of MSNBC. Not everything is some conspiracy and especially not a fight at BoA. Dear god.
  20. If it's a childs game then where do I sign my kid up to get $230 million while under investigation for 50+ accusations of sexual assault? Come on son. This is a mans game, they are being paid a lot of money, and Rhule should be fired after this year and McAdoo should be hired to replace him. Or Rhule could be fired now and McAdoo as the interim to use this year as a try out. I'd also be fine seeing Steve Wilks as the Head Coach. He, like most black head coaches, didn't get a fair shake in his last job. Plus, he's an App State grad who the UNC and USC fans here love to hate.
  21. I can tell who here views everything related to money through a political lens. Almost every large company will seek to work with government to reduce the expense of building a new facility whether its through tax breaks, cost sharing, or any number of other things. Why do they do this? Why does government agree to this? Because the business is a benefit to the community within which they are seeking to move. So it's mutually beneficial, in a non-pandemic and pre-recession period of time for government to work with private enterprise to get that business. Sure, Tepper could've bankrolled the entirety of the project and taken up a large chunk of his net worth in the process. Do you know the amount of liquidation necessary for him to have the cash to bankroll the build? I really, really get tired of reading the demonization of people solely because they have money. Stop being envious. It's not a good look for anyone and it does nothing for you.
