  1. The Bucs now have lost Tom Brady. They have 24 free agents to sign and $13 million in Cap Space to do it. They are beyond screwed at this point. They went all in on Brady to create profit margins that justify the down years sure to follow his retirement. The Rams, I don't know how they continue to do this. Eventually it will catch up to them in some way whether it's a poor free agent class, lack of draft capital, lack of salary cap space, etc. Look at the Bengals. Six wins in two years followed by a Super Bowl run. Joe Burrow and McPhee are very reminiscent of Tom Brady and Vinitari circa 2000-2001 to me. They drafted well, developed their talent, and they have a roster built to last without making any high profile free agency additions or trades. Which do you think is more sustainable? Rhule needs to give roster control to Fitterer and focus on developing talent on the roster. Let front office guys front office, let coaches coach.
  2. Tampa has 20 something free agents and $13 million in cap space. They are down poo creek without a paddle.
  3. 1999 man. That will be the end of a string to many, many peoples childhood. I remember debating kids on my bus in 7th grade about why the Panthers or Patriots would win the Super Bowl. My argument was that they would beat the Panthers because they are Tom Brady. Now I have a son, 9 years old, who knows who Tom Brady is. It's a vestige to more innocent days and I'm quite sad to see him go.
  4. He's willing to do what it takes but not able.
  5. All the arm chair QB scouts dislike you for saying this.
  6. Darnold could be an All-Pro in a Reid offense. The problem isn't Darnold, it's the coaching staff and front offices ignorance of the offensive line.
  7. Nothing is wrong with Darnold. Our offensive line, coaching staff, and front office are as putrid as the Jets. It's time for Panthers fans to face facts. Darnold walked into the same exact situation he was in with the Jets. 1. Terrible head coach 2. Terrible GM prior to Fitterer 3. Terrible ownership group 4. Terrible offensive line group
  8. I'd take MLB or a tackle. There is no excuse for picking any other position. I wanted Micah Parsons and was flamed for it here. See how that worked out?
  9. For who? We benched Sam and the offense looked much worse overall. The Panthers problem isn't quarterback. Darnold could be a Pro Bowl player with an adequate offensive line. Sam Darnold, Brady, Rodgers, doesn't matter. The Panthers would've been relative garbage with anyone. Add in the fact that McCaffrey was hurt and a dude was calling plays who would be hard pressed to be a Division 2 offensive coordinator.
  10. Well now he has Darnold and he probably has 10 games or so to help Rhule otherwise he will be the interim head coach.
  11. I'm a big Sam Darnold fan when the play book is used correctly.
  12. Anyone affiliated with East Carolina just noped the fug up out of all of their Panthers gear. May God have mercy on Teppers soul.
  13. Zac Taylor is in year 3 with the Bengals. He had six wins combined the first two seasons. Can we give this crap a rest?
  14. He knows this staff is going to be fired and that the offensive line is terrible. So what is a coordinator going to do? Ruin their career in a lame duck year. Joe Brady never should've been fired. When you hire a young, inexperienced person, in any job you are making an investment in their growth. That mistakes will be made are understood, however you can't try to use that guy as a scapeline. The Panthers offense was significantly worse after Brady left, which tells me that the problem may not have been Brady at all but rather personnel on the offensive oine.
  15. UNC fans are as bad. NC State fans can be depending on what part of the state you're in. Part of why it's going to be so amazing to see UNC lose to App State yet again.
  16. You DO NOT take a QB with this offensive line unless you have the 1st or 2nd pick. You go offensive line all three days of the draft this year, use Darnold and hope he either develops or then you know for sure to draft someone for 2023, a much deeper class.
  17. I told y'all last Spring that I wanted Micah Parsons over anyone else. I was told he was lazy, didn't have the work ethic or drive, and that he would flame out. I wanted him at linebacker to boost the middle of the defense to help the back four out. Was told that was TURRIBLE... Now here he is 1st team All-Pro and we are debating about keeping Brian Burns, when we wouldn't have even had to ask the question and just re-sign him.
  18. The Panthers problem is the offensive line, period.
  19. Moton and Christianson...or however you spell his name. DJ Moore. CMC. Burns, Reddick, Brown, Horn, and that's about it. That's your core right there.
  20. So you guys want to draft a QB? And likely take one in lieu of taking a possibly elite offensive linemen? No. fug no. Hell no man. You keep Darnold, bring back Cam if he wants to come back, draft two offensive linemen with your first two picks, and hope that in 2023 you have an upper echelon offensive line to possibly protect the QB you draft NEXT year. Grayson McCall in 2023 is who I want. Screw everyone else. I've watched a ton of McCall ball and that dude is going to be the real deal.
  21. Wow, he gave a good explanation on Darnold as well, but you all ignore that. The offensive line is terrible. Bring back Cam and Darnold, build the offensive line out, do not draft a QB otherwise you're just the Jets down south.
  22. Play tight? When they play tight coverage and you're sacked within 2 seconds on almost every play what do you think that's going to do to his field vision?
  23. It'd all relative to what you're used to. Most guys are basic, plain Jane types that have zero substance beyond talking about football. Mick may say some ridiculous things or make some crazy, off the wall comparisons but it gives his calls depth that others lack. It's not robotic. Personally, it's the end of an era. Another long serving member gone that will be a reminder of how quickly time goes by. I was 13 when he got the job and remember listening to the radio through many important moments of my life: high school, graduations, college drinking games, birth of children, purchasing a home, etc. There's a lot wrapped up in teams you follow closely for a long period of time.
  24. The only thing worth trading for is a Pro Bowl level offensive linemen and a draft pick. Otherwise, you keep CMC. He's well worth the investment when he plays.
