  1. So he’s licking his chops at Icky. Overall, the Panthers have a good line. Dalton has also seen enough in his career to get protections correct.
  2. I think Andy gets a ton of criticism for no real particular reason. He was a major driver behind the complete and utter revolution of the Cincinnati Bengals from joke franchise to perennial playoff contender in one of the hardest divisions of football for years. He may not have gotten them to the Super Bowl like Burrow, or the AFC Championship, but he laid the framework for that organization to be where they are today. I don’t know that he will ever get the proper credit for all of that. I understand the criticism and how he was sort of a regular season king, but man did he ball up there. Looking forward to today.
  3. Hunt, Moton, Johnson, Horn… I’ll be excited to see if Andy can get a deep ball to Johnson today. I want to see the offense look excited.
  4. Bro, I’m 32 and don’t do Tik Tok. Maybe I’m old too? That and I don’t want my location data to be used to size us up for cruise missile strikes. That’s neither here, nor there. what was the video about? I’m of the opinion that this offense can be really good, it just needs a quarterback. The defense proved that it can be good, at times, against Los Angeles. Whether it can be put together for a full game when they know they have an offense behind them, who knows?
  5. Caleb has the arm, and if he develops the mental aspect he will be really very good. He reminds me a lot of Dak.
  6. It wasn’t all speculation. For people who consume college football as much, if not more, than the NFL it was easy to see. Bryce doesn’t have the arm. He doesn’t have the extra elite traits to make up for his lack of traits. you don’t give up what we gave up for a guy who requires an offense of first round talent to succeed. You take a guy like Andrew Luck, Cam Newton, Joe Burrow, etc. with that trade. Not a guy like Bryce.
  7. Look, you don’t trade what we traded for him to have to surround him with the same kind of talent that Tua has. The Dolphins will never win a Super Bowl with Tua because they are too dependent on everyone around him. The Chiefs can continue to win and make things happen because they can run with quality rookies on offense and invest heavily in defense. same thing for the Bills.
  8. Probably a conditional 7th and a split of his salary cap hit, maybe they pay 1/10th of his salary. Would be better off converting his salary and cutting him honestly.
  9. Nah, he wasn’t even the clear cut number one to our own head coach and QB coach that year.
  10. Everyone needs to read back through this thread so we know who not to listen to moving forward. A lot of these names haven’t been around as much which tells me they know it.
  11. Johnson was throwing his hands up in Fall Camp. There was one deep flag route that Bryce completed, but it took Johnson to the sideline and it should’ve gone 20 yards further to the pylon. Johnson took the ball, sort of shook it and shook his head and jogged back. Predictably, the board and Twitter saw that throw as a positive but Johnson’s body language told me he had already had enough.
  12. Well, expectations were right for many of us. And this is the comment that got me banned for a week.
  13. Bro, you don’t have to vent to Tepper for Tepper to see it. If Tepper reads these boards, he saw that posted during the game. I made a thread that it wasn’t fair to the other 52 guys putting their body on the line for this garbage.
  14. You can see Adam and Diontae’s body language after each route. Even after Diontae catches the ball he throws his hands up in the air.
  15. The offense is literally only missing a quarterback. The defense is lacking talent but we have one hole on offense right now and I think Dalton will prove that this weekend.
  16. Except Bryce has no comparison to Baker or Sam. Both showed that they could play, and play well. Baker specifically set the record for touchdowns thrown by a rookie at the time. So that isn’t really applicable here. The best message comes from Kurt when he says that QB’s in college are effectively given one read and a scramble drill. That was Bryce at Alabama and that was my issue with him. People compared it to Mahomes and I was thinking it was more like Armanti Edwards, except Edwards would go through progressions in the pocket in college and showed that at Michigan in only his sophomore year.
  17. The Panthers have plenty of talent on offense. The one glaring hole is at quarterback. Even having someone like Gardner Minshew, Brissett, or Justin Fields would see the team being competitive.
  18. That’s UGA against almost anyone. Hurray mini-NFL model they are following. To hell with the other thousands of student athletes.
  19. You just roll coverage man. We play a lot of zone defense so it’s not incredibly hard to bracket a tight end. They may get their yards but you stop them from “taking over” the game. Minshew isn’t a threat to run so you’re good.
  20. But very hard to understand. If there weren’t subtitles I wouldn’t understand 66.6% of what he’s saying. Not that that’s a bad thing. Seems like a good, down to earth dude who will do just fine when he’s playing days are done.
  21. Xavier is getting plenty of play with Johnson on the team. You keep a guy like Johnson on the team because you will have another rookie next year.
  22. Most NFL players are three stars actually. That’s just a function of the parabolic curve though.
  23. He’s shell shocked? He’s been playing like this since Week 1 of 2023.
