  1. Darnold...is....not....the....PROBLEM. The offensive line was a bottom 3 unit last year and has been really since 2016. Hopefully this off-seasons changes will help.
  2. California has three teams. Don't hear you talking about their ego of which there is plenty.
  3. He didn't wash out. He was cut because of his cap hit.
  4. It's not the QB, it's the offense. I've never seen the Panthers perform well against Shanahan no matter who the coach is.
  5. I thought Darnold has a quick release and the ability to make those quick reads. Brady's offense required time, time we didn't have with the offensive line and CMC hurt.
  6. Grayson McCall is already a great QB. He shattered the FBS Passer Efficiency Record in 2021 playing on a bum ankle and shoulder. Look him up.
  7. Not sure I get the hate for Mayfield. He was really good in 2020 and then he was hurt in 2021. Knowing Mayfields career to this point, he will come back stronger elsewhere. Surprised Detroit hasn't made a move for him, or Miami. I think he would be much better down there with the weapons they have than Tua.
  8. We shouldn't be 2-6 this year. Darnold isn't the issue. We haven't had a left tackle in 10 years. Now we do.
  9. Christian McCaffrey was the most exciting Panthers rookie since then. Luke Kuechly? I'm sure that there are more. Quarterback is not our problem. Offensive line play was our issue. So on that topic I'd say Icke is the most exciting since the Panthers left tackle has been hot garbage since Gross retired.
  10. I told you all that Willis was more than overrated. I said that he was probably a 4th round talent being hyped beyond recognition based on the easy competition he feasted on. In general, I'm fine taking G5 QB's but they better perform when they play the big guys. Malik Willis was not that guy. He absolutely crumbled against both Ole Miss and Louisiana this past season and was one of the worst QB's when under pressure in all of college football, by passer rating. We dodged a bullet. We got a guy that is, in a way, reminiscent of Drew Brees and his quick release and short to intermediate accuracy. His mobility is similar to Darnold but hopefully his head isn't filled with ghosts because our offensive line is about to finally allow us to possibly make a playoff run this season. I still want Grayson McCall in 2023. He is going to be a stud, BOOOOOK IT.
  11. Ballie Zappe is my pick. I'd take Zappe over Willis, truth be told.
  12. We could draft Baer Hunter out of App State to play Center. Just saying.
  13. Because Malik Willis is the next Ryan Leaf. Someone will draft him, but he can't handle the pressure. He's terrible. Please, do not draft Willis. Sign Mayfield, I don't care. But do not draft a QB this year.
  14. Nothing, he had the worst QB Rating under pressure in ALL OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL LAST YEAR (or close to it). Good God, run the fug away man.
  15. I've been SHOUTING THIS FROM THE ROOFTOPS and no one here wants to listen. I've been screaming even louder to run away grom Willis and to never look back. I've literally seen many, many other QB's at the G5 level I'd rather have than him. Key amongst them is Bailey Zappe, Grayson McCall, Chase Brice, Levi Lewis, etc. Now some of those names you may be like "come on man", but that's the point. Willis is garbage.
  16. WE DON'T NEED A QB IN THE FIRST ROUND OF THIS DRAFT, FOR GOD'S SAKE PLEASE LISTEN. Malik Willis was quite literally the WORST QB UNDER PRESSURE IN CFB LAST YEAR. I'd take Howell, Pickett, Bailey Zappe, and Grayson McCall over him next year. I'd give Sam Darnold a god damn Patrick Mahomes contract before drafting Willis. Now don't get me wrong, I don't like Pickett or Howell in the 1st either. Give me Bailey Zappe in the 4th or Grayson McCall in the 1st in 2023.
  17. So I don't follow the politics of the USMNT closely. Is it possible that some of the guys you mention just couldn't get release from their clubs but it wasn't publicized? It is possible that they don't WANT to play on the National Team, for whatever reason? It seems to me that the U.S. is on the cusp of having one of their best men's teams in a long, long time considering the youth and performance thus far. Having McKennie, Pulisic, and Brooke's would give you three bonified European League players at all three levels.
  18. You're one person on a forum of a few hundred regular posters and readers. I've been here since 2011 and for some reason I don't recall seeing you post anything until now. Your opinion isn't worth a hill of beans in this arena fam. BET!
  19. Obviously he isn't going to be on the World Cup team. That roster is relatively set except for the possibility of adding a shot creator in the middle of the field. Bender is more of a winger like Pulisic so it's unlikely that they would be on the field together, even if he were to be selected. However it may be to the USMNT's advantage to have a guy like Bender so that Pulisic can be moved to the middle.
  20. What is the fit of Robinson and Brooks? I'd have to guess that there is something other than politics to suggest that one is better than the other in terms of their scheme fit in what he wants to see. It could also be that they are seeking development of this team for 2026, more so than having the expectation to win now.
  21. That's a pretty good line-up of international participants for an expansion team, I'd say. It's also far more than I expected a less than stellar MLS team to have. Personally, I'm not sure how long Ben Bender stays off of the U.S. team, even as a reserve. Obviously he's a Wing player and they need finishers in the middle but if he continues to develop he could he a real gem.
  22. I'm telling you guys, if we suck, we need to draft Grayson McCall in the 2023 Draft. There is no QB in the draft worth the pick that we hold and there are offensive linemen or even defensive players well worth the pick. Hell, I'd even be fine taking a game breaking receiver. Roll with Darnold, if he sucks or the offensive line isn't improved, you get a high draft pick again and you take your QB next year. Do not reach for someone who is nearly as old as Darnold but with a power ceiling and a much lower floor.
  23. Really? They contended a grand jury, they declined to charge him based on available evidence as GIVEN BY THE WITNESSES. What do you want? A public hanging and a 5 minute trial? What "rich" people haven't been held accountable? Hillary, Hunter Biden, John Kerry, John Kerry's son, Xi Jin Ping, the Mollah's, Saudi Grand Prince, who? WHOOOO? Low IQ is low IQ.
