  1. What QB is good with in-face pressure? You could insert any name in football and say "not good". So Brady is the GOAT, and being poor with in face pressure isn't a flaw, it's expected.
  2. It's easy enough to find out if someone doesn't have what it takes. So it wasn't about getting better or not getting better this past year, it was about Joe Brady not having enough experience for the next three years. So cut bait now and grow the program with someone else.
  3. In the time scale of human history and culture, 1976 wasn't that long ago. Being at practice early is likely smiled upon, if you're at home during the week and are commuting to the facility. During training camp when everyone is getting ready in the locker room together, it doesn't matter at all. So yes, being early is good if it's in season. Staying late is good in season and possibly during TC depending on the schedule. But being early to the field during TC doesn't matter, especially if it's only 5 minutes before everyone else and everyone is utilizing their time properly.
  4. I don't think anyone is saying that. What people are saying is that Baker is doing things that Sam can't do in shorts. Yesterday, Sam's practice consisted of check down after check down which is all we've seen since Cam hurt his shoulder midway through 2018. Baker may actually prolong CMC's season because he WON'T check down. There may be some sacks or INT's every now and again but the ability to push the ball downfield and not settle for CMC will help the team over the course of 19 to 20 games.
  5. It should've been more than 100 times. So more than once is not good enough.
  6. The stats of how Baker performed with the 1's today versus Sam yesterday are very telling.
  7. Baker is better than Darnold and I bet Darnold is not even on the team at the end of August.
  8. You know what they say about trash. We got him for nothing from CLEVELAND. The Browns. The worst organization in the NFL and it's not even really close aside from maybe Jacksonville. So I don't consider what we gave up to get him. Baker led the Browns to a playoff win in Pittsburgh and they very nearly upset the Chiefs. Baker will be fine, especially in this offense.
  9. The post I responded to specifically said "meeting room". Anyone showing up to work early doesn't have enough to do at home. It's also nearly impossible when you have kids. In terms of football, it's not like the other guys are straggling to the field late because they've been playing games or farting around. Odd's are they are communicating with their guys, checking the plan for the day, reading the playbook, studying notes from the previous day's practice, etc. In other words, practice doesn't start once you get on the field, especially for a QB.
  10. And judging by today, Baker is the better option. Running the same scenarios, Baker is pushing the ball downfield and Sam is STILL dumping the ball off, in shorts. It's not even time for pads and Darnold still can't bring himself to use the vertical element of the field while Baker is tossing dimes. Baker is also showing a leadership element by getting up with his receivers in trash talk with Jackson. We need to "excuse" Sam the same way the 49er's did to Jimmy G. We can trade Sam the same way we traded for Baker.
  11. If someone is in a meeting room early it means they don't have enough work to do, not that they just care more.
  12. (Snarky) Corral it is.... The Mayfield link has begun.
  13. If you don't approach the line, you'll never be big time. They weren't intercepted and then you come back on 3rd down and hit the deep crosser. Have faith, ye of LITTLE faith.
  14. Who cares if he's first? Really? It has nothing to do with anything.
  15. He's going into Year 3 of a 7 year contract. This was a tear down and rebuild. What happened last year was expected by everyone except blind Panthers fans.
  16. He needs reps to build timing with the receivers. They take that away in the name of "QB Competition". You either give the job to Baker or Sam and go from there because if it's Bakers job he needs as many reps with the ones as he can get. Sam on the other hand is a great 7 on 7 player, it's when the pads come on that he has issues.
  17. It's not whether there were or were no holes. It's that they gave it to Rhule to fix. Fitterer is a good GM, let him do his job.
  18. Can the Matt Corral love fest from that one dude stay away today? We get it. You think he's God's gift to Earth. However, since I've been a Panthers fan, I've seen one QB workout who was drafted and that was Cam Newton. Otherwise it's been Collins, Weinke, Clausen, etc. He could be a good player and he could not but constantly drooling on the practice day thread isn't going go make that happen.
  19. He and Malik dropped for a reason.
  20. Yeah, that's good for when Corral joins the 7 v. 7 league at the Y after he fails out of the NFL because he's terrible because your poo is annoying and making me want him to fail, just so you disappear. Besides, I want Grayson McCall. Local kid, 58 touchdowns to 6 interceptions, 207.1 passer efficiency rating... And yes, he played better than Caleb Williams did against their only common opponent with much less talent surrounding him.
  21. Mac and Zach played in offenses with pro style concepts. Matt Corral played in a glorified high school offense with no checks, no reads, no nothing. It was all RPO which is based off of one or two keys and then it's backyard football. It's effective, but it's also why Ole Miss is curbstomped anytime they play someone of equal talent level.
  22. Why they gave a coach with little NFL experience full roster control is beyond ridiculous. Tepper gave HURNEY roster control over one of the best defensive coaches in the league in Ron Rivera yet gave it to Rhule, who is good at what, exactly?
  23. So you're saying that turnover margin matters? NO WAY.
  24. That's a lot of demands from a dude not even playing football right now. I'm not sure if this attitude is normal but I'd hate to bring in a guy like that who wants a guarantee of playing time before ever stepping foot on the field with his "team" mates.
