  1. I know it’s a salary dump, but you don’t salary dump contributing players. There is something the 49er’s know and that’s why they were good letting him walk.
  2. I would like Warren early, defense next three picks, then Cam Skattebo in the 3rd or 4th round. You can’t teach elite grit. You can’t teach elite everything which Warren has. warren and Sanders would almost definitely provide the duo teams have been reaching for with tight ends since the Gronk Hernandez days.
  3. That’s my concern. He is a tweener and they tend to be better situationally. Unless we triple down and go Walker, DT, DT in our first three picks, it’s going to be hard for him to I’m partial to going Tyler Warren, who is elite in measurable, performance, and ceiling, and then going defense heavy later with a flyer on a slot type receiver.
  4. Won’t be able to do much if offensive line can block to the third level of the defense. We need defensive line help, which can be had in the 2nd and 3rd day. Draft Tyler Warren, call Day 1 a day.
  5. I think Warren is good enough. If you are sold on Bryce being the guy, Warren is the type of talent you pick-up. Defense can be sorted out via free agency and later rounds. You can't get someone like Warren unless you draft them or trade for them; or if they retire and then unretire because their QB unretired and went to a different team.
  6. You don't draft for need in the Top 10. You go BPA. Warren is a generational talent at the position and sure, it's a luxury in many ways but he could also absorb the entire middle of the field and give the receivers a lot of help.
  7. So we have two tight ends, one who is a middling receiver and less than middling blocker, and the other who is scout team quality. We are drafting a tight end. Warren is a luxury pick, but you dig holes for your team by drafting for need in the first round. You go BPA and that is going to be Warren, by a mile.
  8. It will be Tyler Warren, if he is still there. We are letting Thomas walk. If there are enough defensive players later in the draft, nothing opens an offense up like a transcendent talent at tight end.
  9. I could go do jugs for two years and never be an NFL receiver. That's not the issue. He likely could use some micro spatial awareness and reaction time training away from football.
  10. Draft Tyler Warren if he's there. Go defensive line in round 2. Warren is the next Gronk and could unlock the entire offense. Letting Ian Thomas walk pretty much confirms we will be drafting a tight end at some point.
  11. Ooo wee mayne…almost every NFL team looked at Deshaun Watson to gauge their need/want.
  12. Pick the best Georgia linebacker available. Period. Or Abdul Carter. trade for Myles Garrett. Immediately every guy in our secondary then becomes a pro bowl caliber player.
  13. Bryce scored five touchdowns in a game for playoff elimination for the Falcons. He had us in position to beat the two Super Bowl teams. All while having the leagues worst defense. I was a Bryce detractor. I am not.
  14. Linebackers don't require time to master their position?
  15. Or we draft Walker and trade for Garrett? Receivers are a dime a dozen, most often. You have just a few truly elite guys but defense still wins championships.
  16. He was injured…and the injuries that were publicly listed were not long term problems.
  17. Seems you haven’t watched San Fransisco much. He and CMC are their offense. Purdy is good, but they are the game breakers that can take a 2 yard screen 75 yards to score anytime. pairing Deebo with Theilen and, id hope, a young speed guy, would be an awesome combination.
  18. It's not hard to decline an 8th pick for a receiver. Theilen is better, and he's old. We need to go after the Dolphins mold of guys. Think Devonta Smith type with a slot guy like Theilen and then another shifty guy. We've had the Twin Towers before and it failed. We've gone after big body guys lately and that is an outdated approach.
  19. As a Sun Belt fan, I’d say he would be a solid pick but I wouldn’t take him until the 2nd round.
  20. Cam may have said something different before, and it mnay have been a lie. And this is the issue I'm having with Cam as I listen to more and more of him away from football. He almost seems anti-social in a way, and extremely superficial. I never bought into those criticisms before but some of that is surfacing now.
  21. It doesn't have to be an either/or question considering he had one opportunity for both. Accepting of individual awards in place of a team accomplishment in the ultimate team sport just shows that maybe some of the criticism about Cam only being worried about Cam was, and remains, accurate. I won't dive into the psychology of the man but he does have some traits that are indicative of some reasons why he could never maintain a high level of success, and why people in the building were afraid to truly hold him to account so he could get better. We never saw a leap in Cam's performance like we did with Bryce this year. Obviously Bryce's floor was so low that he had no where to go, but up, but he went from cut bait to scoring 5 touchdowns against a team competing for a playoff spot. That took a long look in the mirror, and real work, and accountability from everyone in the building to make that change; we never saw that from Cam. I am on record as a Bryce detractor as well, before you go down that road.
  22. It's likely that if the refs make the correct call on that 4th down, or even the catch/no catch, that the Bills win that game. I don't think the NFL is "fixing" games but reffing inconsistencies certainly steer them. The Bills allowed one second half touchdown and it just happened to come on a short field following that horrendous spot on 4th down where the side judge without a view of the ball overrode the other judge who had a view of the ball. That was going to end up being the 4th quarter drive similar to the Ravens game where the Bills just milked the clock down to 2 every snap. NFL got what it wanted: Taylor Swift in the Super Bowl On a side note, I am almost done with this league, and maybe even the sport the way college football is going. Industries do not leave billions of dollars up to chance. Gambling will have an impact on games, at some point, whether people want to admit it or not.
  23. Allen is a much better version of Cam, I agree. Most anyone can see that.
