  1. Darnold has 10 years of prime left and that’s the issue. If he can play this well and sustain it, you get rid of one of them and the sooner the better for the Vikings, honestly. I despise them for being so good at QB right now.
  2. Vikings just drafted JJ. They aren't cutting JJ or trading him to sign Darnold, considering the upside that JJ has. Both guys could be really good, but they will go with JJ if they can get 90% of the production of Sam just because of the cap hit. I think we could make a run at Darnold. He's not going to get a massive contract after one good year Vikings. He could possibly receive a Daniel Jones or Baker Mayfield style contract, or he may bet on himself and play the same way again next year. Personally, I'd say you make a run for Darnold, bring back Diontae, let Chubba go (unfortunately) or Sanders, see if you can either draft a rookie tight end or sign another in Free Agency to replace Tremble, and assess receivers, then go hard on defensive line. Obviously it's one game, but I don't think the Panthers are as far off as people thought they were on Saturday.
  3. I don't think that Dalton will come with much added cost. What does a 38 year old QB go for? If he can show he can do it for a full season, maybe you sign him to a Baker Mayfield style deal? I don't know if Andy could get the Panthers to a Super Bowl, but if he came back on a team friendly deal, and Morgan builds the defense out while adding a few offensive pieces, I don't see why not. We have a Super Bowl capable offensive line right now. As bad as Ickey is, you can work around a single weak link on the line. Cam proved you can get there with bottom of the barrel receivers, and I think Legette and Mingo will turn out to be good picks, especially paired with Johnson.
  4. Show some appreciation for the savior, providing the best game by a Panthers quarterback since 2015; and maybe the best Panther's game overall since the 2015 NFC Championship route. I know there have been wins mixed in, notably the Lions game of 2022, but yesterday, 33-7, was a thorough beatdown and Canales deserves all the credit for realizing what we all saw here.
  5. "Breakout" was a "bold" prediction for a guy who already had a 1,000 yard receiving season.
  6. Bro, NFL.com is saying that this is just a timeout for Bryce and that he will play again this season. no, no, no, no, no. I am not going back.
  7. That’s sort of the point. Bryce was so bad that the Panthers looking competent was so shocking to most people. The thing that gets me is the national media paraded the idea around that the Panthers lacked talent around Bryce. Well, guys, that was dispelled today.
  8. Wel, double down and throw a parlay on some college football. I knew I should have bet on JMU and Buffalo to win this past weekend which would’ve netted quite a bit but I didn’t pull the trigger.
  9. I’m a good person. It doesn’t mean I can play in the NFL. I can beast in Madden, and maybe that’s Bryce’s path, e-sports. Madden Tournaments, etc.
  10. Like I said, he would be better suited to the XFL/USFL like PJ Walker did.
  11. The Vikings are going to have to pay Darnold to keep him and they won’t do that considering they have McCarthy. I say that you spend your draft resources on defense and sign Darnold to a deal similar to what Baker got in Tampa, if Darnold will come back. Darnold can play as well as he’s playing right now with Canales as Head Coach and if we lock up Hubbard and Johnson. That’s what I want, anyway. I don’t expect it to happen but I wanted to retain Darnold after 2022 and we didn’t. I wanted to run back that whole staff for 2023 actually, along with picking up some Free Agent guards and maybe a receiver to play opposite Moore but, alas, that didn’t happen. So I say run it back with Darnold on a team friendly deal that is similar to Mayfield, retain Johnson and Hubbard, and see if we can’t get a few defensive studs. I’m excited to see what Canales could do. And before you flame me, realize that Darnold is still quite young

  13. What are the difficult questions? No one cares what Canales does with Bryce right now, literally no one. He is on the bench and will remain there. Now if the national media wanted to ask a few politicians hard questions about why they change their policy propositions (something like 16 of them), I’d be all for that. This, however, is much ado about nothing.
  14. I agree. There is no need to put Bryce in. If you think he can develop into something, you keep him on to run scout team and learn how to read NFL defenses. That is his biggest issue right now honestly. It’s not his arm, it’s not his athleticism, it’s his processing. Andy was successful today because he knows how to read defenses pre and post snap.
  15. Okay? Only beta’s comment on the alpha nature of others. True alphas just let it ride my man.
  16. At this point, I think people have to feel bad for him though. No one is going to be mad at him for simply lacking the ability and experience. Again, we made the mistake of taking a guy who was not a plug and play guy. You don’t trade what we did to get a guy who has to sit for two to three years to learn. You may trade up into the 2nd or 3rd round for a dude, or take someone who falls into your lap sort of like the Falcons did with Penix, but you don’t trade players and future picks for someone like Bryce, period. The way this whole thing was handled does not scream “GM and Head Coach make decision”. This, to me, seems like a decision someone would make playing Madden because they want someone from their favorite college program. You don’t take the rookie with a 65 rating that you have to build up for seasons and resources, you take the guy with an 80 or 85.
  17. Cam was a slow processor as well. When athleticism could not longer save him, he faltered.
  18. Does anyone trade for him though? Look at how Dalton has played with the same group. His presence has elevated everyone, including the defense today. Bryce, to me, is worse than PJ Walker and really doesn’t belong on any NFL roster.
  19. Look at how the team responds to Dalton versus Young. All of that talk about Bryce being done dirty by the Panthers can be put to bed. The only mistake the Panthers made was drafting him at all.
  20. Legette will figure that out at some point. He is looking like he was worth that pick though. Could be a solid number two if we wanted to resign Johnson.
  21. TV guy clearly didn’t watch the games or check our roster. Everyone is playing “better” because of Andy Dalton. They aren’t just playing better in a vacuum.
  22. Bryce really should go to the USFL/XFL to see if he can develop there. He’s not going to be given time in the NFL. Based on how Andy looks today, with the same exact team, Bryce is so far off he really isn’t even worth stashing on a practice squad. I’d like to say that the TV guy is wrong, a lot of us saw this coming. I posted on a thread that Andy would have 300 yards, 2 touchdowns, and Johnson for have 100 yards receiving, and Chubba would get to 100 yards. All have come true.
